Good value for the price but lacks 4G

If you're looking for a no frills basic non-4G smartphone at a very affordable price point for reading emails and light web browsing on the go, look no further.
This phone's biggest drawback is that it is only capable of 3G speeds which is just fine for tasks like email and light web browsing but just don't expect to be doing any data heavy downloads without access to wifi. The notification light is actually quite cool (wish all phones had this!), the battery is removable which is a nice bonus. It also has a microSD slot which is good because the phone only has 4GB base memory (of which less than 2GB is usable by the user).

This LG smart phone works very well for text, talk and occasional web browsing. It is light and very easy to use. It gets excellent reception everywhere I traveled in Minn. & Iowa. I bought it to use as a prepaid card phone.
It is not intended to complete with the newest smart phones.
I recommend to anyone for similar use.

I ordered two of this phone. I gave one to my Mother in law to replace her Ipod and she mainly use this as for skyping and It has pretty decent specs and great value for the price. For the price of 15 bucks definitely worth it. The only thing with this does not have a front facing camera and has only 4GB memory built in but can expand to up to 32 GB with memory card. Overall this is a great phone for prepaid or for Wifi use only. I will use mine for wifi only and use it for my OBDII bluetooth adapter and to use it as mymp3 player.

TheVerizon Exceed 2 is a good choice regarding prepaid Verizon customers, one of the 3G phones Verizon sells without a contract required. It comes with a 4.5 inch screen. the operating system is the new Android Kitkat 4.4.2 software which is great The Exceed 2 is CDMA PHONE and is locked to Verizon Network.

Phone is packed with features found on higher end androids. Screen resolution is a bit on the low end side, nice auto focus camera, 4.5" screen is tightly packed around by a very light plastic case. Phone seems very fragile. Almost comical. But all and all, for the price and features it's a no brainer buy. Bought a $6. case off eBay to toughen it up a bit. Hope it can take a few drops before cracking up.

Overall good phone for the price. Lacks faster 4G LTE speeds which is its biggest downfall but it is a chapter older device so that is expected. If you needs temp. phone or second for business this phone is a good option also it would be good for teens starting out as it lacks popular features so they could work their way up to a better phone and possibly appreciate the value of a fancier phone in the process. All in all satisfied but if you're used to nicer phone I wouldn't buy it as it lacks in many areas. For me it works well for business because I only require the use of one application to be running and this makes my personal phone free for use. This phone's biggest attribute is its AFFORDABLE.

I was looking for an inexpensive backup phone for one of those "I dropped my phone too many times in the water and now it won't turn on" situations. Its not as fast or as fancy or LTE, but it does what I'll need it to do.

Pros: Price, size, display, accepts up to 32GB external memory
Cons: 4GB internal memory, camera quality, stuck with Android Kit Kat.
Overall, the features of this sub twenty dollar phone are hard to beat as long as your expectations are not unrealistic. It's perfect for a young kid as a starter phone and plenty capable as a GPS, MP3 player, streaming (Pandora), media controller (Chromecast), a picture frame, weather station, alarm clock, movies, IP webcam or baby monitor, or just as an emergency phone to dial 911 in every car.

While looking for a smart phone for my preteen, I stumbled upon this phone. I didn't want an expensive phone for her first, wanted it to be prepaid to get her started on phone responsibility but wanted her to have a nice phone, although not one to "keep up with the Joneses" and desire to teach my children to be frugal, wanted her to be proud of her phone around her friends. This phone is PERFECT and exactly what I was looking for!!! Her response in asking what she thought of it after a few days of use "I LOVE IT!!!" There you have it mother and daughter approved!

Love the phone, hate it wasn't prepaid as other Verizon phones. What I'm saying is that the prepaid phone cards you can buy at retail stores that includes($15,$35,$45,$60) does not work with this phone which is a deal breaker for those who doesn't want to pay $45 EVERY MONTH. This was my first smartphone, so I didn't understand this part of $45 EVERY MONTH. Other than that I love the phone.

This is a good phone especially for the price. Do not expect ultra fast multi tasking but for the average user this phone works great. I feel this phone would be fine for anyone who needs a cheap smartphone for calls, texts, emails, internet browsing, apps and games.
I am giving this phone 4/5 starts because I think the screen could have a bit higher resolution (still looks pretty good) and that LG skin/interface is a downgrade in my opinion to stock android.

My mom has the prepaid, was paying $54 for limited. Now with this phone it's $49 with unlimited phone calls and as long as she's on the wi-fi at home, no problem! It was fast for her to learn how to make phone calls and text. She likes the font size as well. Which the phone does a lot more than this of course.

I like this phone. has a good screen size that still fits in my pocket. Pretty easy to work and use. Less accidental calls when in my pocket. Apps seem to install simply. Bluetooth connects to all my devices. WiFi and All the features plus some. Good camera. The LG Optimus is the best phone I have purchased to date. It is my second Optimus. I had one with a different provider so when it was necessary for me to change providers and I saw the Optimus at a very reasonable price I jumped at the opportunity.

I bought this phone so I can be more versatile and learn the Droid Operating System, since I am an iOS user. I got this phone for a really good price and find that it is a great phone. It runs really well and we now use it as our primary way to control for the chrome cast. I would HIGHLY recommend this phone to anyone trying to learn droid OS or just for a chrome cast remote.

I am comparing the phone with my son's Samsung Note 4 and the overall screen, size and product is nicer. Battery life is excellent, I am able to go several days without a recharge on standby.

Best offer

I think this is by far the best offer on a phone. At 15$ (it was a limited time offer) we get a smart phone with all the features of a 100$ product.
- Touch screen
- 4.5" screen
- 5 megapixel cam
- 4 GB internal memory with memory card slot
- 2100 mAh battery
What else do we need at this price. I have been using this phone for few weeks now and it is perfect !!!!

This is great WiFi phone. Excellent build quality, solid Wi-Fi. Bought it when on sale as backup and I am using one of this as a WiFi device. Can't go wrong at this low price and extremely satisfied with the purchase. Haven't used it as a phone and hence can't comment yet but if you are looking for a WiFi device then go for it.

Its a nice small touchscreen phone. The only downer is the space. I bought this for my kids mainly for games since they love playing my phone and their tablets are too big, but it doesn't really hold to much. You must buy a memory card if you are in need of more space. But hey for the price I purchased it for, I can't complain.

Great phone for the money. Camera is decent for the $. It's basically a dumb/smart phone which for those of us that don't want to to pay the ridiculous prices Verizon charges for iPhones and most Androinds this phone is a primo choice.

phone is great. purchased it for grand kids to play games at my house. had no intention of ever using it as a phone. Verizon is not cooperative in activating this phone for those reasons, others can help you bypass them
Iwould never pick verizon as a carrier but would reccommed this phone for everyone.my kids and their spouses have iphones with verizon, I hope they will leave this uncooperative carrier!
