I have had absolutely no problems with this service. I switched from Verizon and I am happy. Not only do I still have Unlimited Talk and Text but twice the data for half the cost. No contract either which is a plus.

Bad customer service. The lady said only certified Verizon phones worked with their service, which is a complete lie. Even the Best Buy rep said they didn’t know what they were talking about. But whatever I chose not to go with them, can’t return the card back to Best Buy, and total wireless doesn’t care that u didn’t use it, I wasted my money. Go with another carrier that provides actual customer support!

I was going to add my son to my Verizon plan, but I discovered Total Wireless. It has the same coverage and I don’t have to worry about my son going over and getting an outrageous bill. For $35 a month he gets unlimited talk/text and 5gb of data. Works great for both of us!

First month of service for us on a Verizon-based service. We used our unlocked CDMA phones to get service where AT&T didn't reach, and for nearly HALF the cost from Verizon for the 3 lines. No extra start-up costs, and no contract, if you decide to cancel.

Perfect Plan for Occasional Data User

The first decision for me in going with a smart phone is to decide what network to use. Verizon is the only one that has towers in one of the areas I frequent so Verizon it is! However going through Verizon can get expensive for the way I use a smart phone plan. I wanted unlimited call and text but just occasional data. The problem with most plans is that the data expires at the end of the cycle. Most of my internet access is at home through the cable company. I use the phone internet access for convenience around town which does not amount to much and bigger chunks when on occasional trips out of town. What is great about Total Wireless is that the 3GB data purchased separately does not expire so I do not loose the money I spent purchasing data like I would on other plans. I went with the $25 phone and text only card then I spent the extra $10 on the 3 GB of data. It worked exactly as expected. There were no problems combining the two. Since I was planning a 10 day out of town trip, I added 3 more GB that went into reserve. Everything worked exactly as expected when the cycle rolled over. I had added the next month's phone and text card ahead of time and it automatically activated for the new cycle. Additionally all of my data remained! Once I used up the first 3 GB, it just kept on going into the next 3 GB. I read that third party providers of Verizon are limited to 5 mbps but I ran a speed test in my metro area and got 10mbps. Maybe they have a new limit now. I have been out of town with it and was able to get on the Verizon network in a rural area with only Verizon towers with no problem. My data speed was 3 to 5 mbps but I believe that is because I was in a weak signal area. There have been no issues with the phone or text. I was using a Verizon prepaid plan on a flip phone previously and all is the same. The phone is a unlocked Lenovo Moto 5G Plus with 64 MG and 4GB ram. I got everything from Best Buy and they set it up without any issues. There have been no problems of any kind with either the phone or the plan. The phone can act as a hot spot so I did a brief test to see if I could get access using my laptop going through the phone as a hotspot. It did work. I did not find anything in the terms of service that said that this is not allowed but then I have not seen anything from Total Wireless that does says it is ok. I leave it up to you to check that out. I know some of the Trac Phone companies (which owns Total Wireless) have it in their agreement that tethering is not allowed. This is a great plan for me that gives me unlimited phone and text for only $25 a month and I just pay for data as I need it with it not rolling off at the end of the cycle. This gives great control over the data cost which is cheap at $10 for 3 GB. Many want $20 for just 1 GB on prepaid plans. This can be a great plan if it matches your requirements and it gets you on probably he best network out there, especially for us out west. Bottom line, it all worked without any issues or surprises. Like any plan, spend the time to understand the details and fine print before deciding.

First of all: I had trouble getting my TOTAL WIRELESS SIM card activated but once it was up and running it was ok. I bought the phone card on sale, which brought the price down to the same price TOTAL WIRELESS charges for auto-top-up but without having to register a credit card online.

Great plan, You get a lot for your buck. You get unlimited talk and text and for $35 you get 5 GB of data. The best for a single line plan. I get great coverage and no dropped calls. I've had several of my friends switch over from other mobile companies. We're all very happy with this plan.

At 6GB per month, I researched this have this best price overall. I found out that, Total Wireless is owned by América Móvil, which also operates the TracFone Wireless family of MVNO brands. The report also said that the Total Wireless service runs on Verizon's network.Mar 17, 2015 Fast data!

Total Wireless is much less expensive than subscribing to one of the wireless companies. I don’t notice any difference in service. The reception is perfect. Total Wireless uses Verizon’s towers. It’s prepaid so there is no required time period.

Works better than a debit/credit card to add prepaid service (unlimited talk, text) and 5 GB data of Total Wireless (Verizon Network). A flat $35 a month without the tax added. Saving you $3 monthly.
