This router has been the best overall router I’ve had! The range is absolutely insane, there is no reason to have a WiFi extender with this! If you want something that has amazing range and can handle seriously like 20+ devices connected to it with blazing fast speeds, this is the router for you!

This is a router that I’ve used for about two years (or more), as a second wireless router just for home office use, and given its reliability over that period, I went ahead and bought this one (on sale) for my son to use in his new apartment last Fall. Easy to set up, reliable, and does its job well.

Working excellent. Massive improvement over the one I replaced, and it was a quality piece. I can't say there is never lag, but the system is greatly improved.

Really have been impressed with the router so far. Setup was very easy with the app. Speeds have been a decent improvement from my previous router that was 4 years old. Would buy this one again for sure!

This router is spectacular. It has stoped the constant wifi device drops we use to experience. The user interface is extremly easy. I can monitor what sites my son goes to on his devices and turn Internet off to his devices at a predetermined time for weekdays and separately for weekends

Very easy to install. I was able to notice the difference right away. It seems great and you can control everything very easy.. Very easy to setup with VPN. Bulky but I don’t mind at all.

Hello,
I am coming from a Google WiFi mesh product. This router seemed fast at first but after a few days it started going down hill. Keep in mind I am in an apartment. The connections on both the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands are very spotty. To determine if it was the router or cable modem, I started a ping to 8.8.8.8 from my computer and directly from the tp link router. The ping from my computer would drop off every 30 seconds or so and extremely latent. The ping from the router never had a hiccup. So this would tell me there is something wrong with the connection between the devices in my home network and the router. Again, I never had any issue with the google WiFi. I will definitely be returning as I paid almost 500 bucks.

Hi Nick,
Thank you for sharing your experience with our Archer AX11000 Tri-Band WiFi 6 Router. You shouldn't be experiencing such abnormal WiFi performance, and in your case we would first recommend updating the router's firmware, as shown in our FAQ here: https://www.tp-link.com/us/faq-2139.html
We would greatly appreciate the opportunity to follow up with you directly and help address these concerns. At your earliest convenience, please send an e-mail with your contact information and a link to this review to [email protected] and we'll gladly have a Support Agent follow up with you directly.

Love this router, with my prior router through one wall 30 feet away my tablet signal strength was 2 bars. After connecting this unit all over my house the signal strength is full bars. The app is easily used I never found the game dashboard. However it does allow you to setup priorities like gaming.

Best (consumer grade) router I've ever owned. I have over 25 devices and over half of them are data hogs. This router handles the gig connection I have at home along with the number of devices# flawlessly. The set-up of this device is also very easy and straight forward.

Happy upgrading to this AX11000 from AX3000

I am very happy with this router. I previously had an Archer AX3000 which is a dual band router. I thought I was having some connection issues, so I upgraded to the AX11000 for the tri-band.
I watched a lot of gaming router comparison videos, and this router was always rated as good with similar routers winning out in most cases in terms of speed or connectivity. I can say that I still went with this router and as a casual user that plays online games every now and then (not a die-hard gamer by any means), this router performs spectacularly.
When I first set it up, I attempted to use the "smart connect" feature, which is supposed to shift connections to the best of the 3 bands for your usage. I had to disable that feature after a few days because it doesn't work quite right in certain parts of my house due to the layout of my home. All phones at the far ends of the house (router is in the middle) would become unresponsive like the router couldn't figure out which band to use.
Without that enabled and connecting directly to one of the bands, it is a solid and flawless connection throughout my house. My previous router had the "smart connect" feature as well and it did not work well at all. This one did better, but not quite well enough to keep my family from complaining about Tik Tok videos not loading.
The 8 ethernet ports is an awesome bonus that replaced a 5-port switch in my chain.
I'm looking forward to implementing the link aggregation on my home server when I get time to run an extra cable.
The interface on the AX11000 looks better to me than the AX3000 which uses the default blue/white TP-Link GUI... though it really is just a theme change as pretty much all the same settings show up in both.
I currently only have a couple devices that support Wifi6. I mainly wanted Wifi6 for future proofing and it wasn't necessary considering the devices being connected.

Blazing fast speeds and connections. Easily covers my 2 story, 2900sqft home. Interface is very easy to use. Plus it saves me $14 a month in leasing the Cox Panaoramic wifi. That thing was horrible.

Great router. But unfortunately im going to take my buisness elsewhere after this company scammed me on a extended warranty. Cant seem to ever get my address right and continously wasting my time and missing work. STAY FAR AWAY FROM BEST BUY. THEY MIGHT AS WELL BE A PAWN SHOP. SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES
