This was up and running in a few minutes. It is difficult to evaluate it in just a day of using it, but so far it seems to be perfect. Very solid machine, and if you call customer support you end up in AMERICA! That is such a pleasure in itself. My older Linksys Cisco was dropping all the time and I was rebooting it once a week it seemed. With this new router I was able to lower my speed and monthly bill with Cox Cable. So in a years time I covered the cost of it in the savings from Cox with lowering the speed.. So far I am very happy with it. It is worth spending 130.00 to have better coverage in my large home and no more dropping the strength/signal.

Getting Max Speed at Distance

On older devices it reaches near theoretical speeds, 100 mbps on 150 mbps WiFi adapters through walls 50 feet away for example. Which is why I bought it. This is a huge improvement over my older N modem even though 90% of devices are n and I only have one ac device this router is much faster across the board and has consistent max speed connection.

I have had this router for several months now and have had no issues. I was having to reset our old router several times a week because it would just "drop" the signal. I have not had to do this with this TP Link router. The signal is strong and consistent even with many devices streaming simultaneously to every room in the house.

I found this product easy to install and easy to bring up to speed with all computers in house, including guests. Well worth the money. No bump off like my old Netgear. Solid signal.

We have a 90 year old, three story house with solid walls. This router works so much better than the last three. I'm sure technology has improved generally, but the bottom line is we have had no problems since getting this router.

WiFi Light Out! No Signal!

I started having connection issues about 1 week after flawless usage in my home. I noticed the WiFi icon on my phone was off as well as the computer which showed a blank network settings box. I then looked on the router and noticed the WiFi light was OFF. How could this happen on a brand new router? I had to cycle the power on the router to fix it (until it happens again). I will be returning the product ASAP.

Whenever I do a big youtube video upload (via gigabit ethernet connection), it makes it impossible to do anything else on the web on the same or any other computer connected to this router. I've never had this problem with any prior router.

Decent coverage but poor quality

This one was an upgrade from an old Belkin. Streaming was certainly better with no interruptions. However after six months it died while I was surfing the net. Just *poof*. Dead. I would not recommend buying this especially for what TP Link is asking price wise. You probably won't get enough life from it to justify the cost.
