    Quality WiFi card

This is a well made WiFi card. It's a sturdy, solidly build card, and it works very well. The default drivers (from TP-Link's site) are okay but very outdated. Newer drivers can be downloaded from third party sites. Both the older and newer drivers work perfectly fine under Windows 10, although TP-Link's management utility does not detect the card (which is fine with me, as Windows is more than capable of managing the card by itself). There are a plethora of configuration options for this card under Windows, far more than my previous TP-Link card had, which is quite nice. The antennas the card came with are, well, bog-standard antennas. They aren't bad, but they're not the greatest if you have some walls to go through and want 5GHz, so I hooked the card up to a set of Super Power Supply 9dBi antennas via three heavily shielded TP-Link TL-ANT24EC3S 10ft extension cables, and relocated the antennas to the other side of my desk for better signal. Overall, I'm satisfied with this card, although I do want to note that due to 802.11ac's inherent issues with 256-QAM, don't expect to achieve the maximum data rate of 1300Mbps. This card tops out at 878Mbps for me, which I am satisfied with. You can only expect to achieve maximum data rates with an actual line-of-sight to the router or some equivalent situation where the 5GHz signal is exceptionally strong, which I don't have, and even powerful antennas and shielded extension cables cannot overcome this limitation (although they did dramatically boost my 5GHz signal strength).

The card is excellent and very fast under Windows 7. Getting it to work properly in Windows 10 takes some time, and you'll likely want to Google for several different solutions as not everyone experiences the same issues.

It was easily installed and I was up and running in just a few minutes. It works with 2.4 or 5 GHz. Speeds are fastest of course using 5GHz and AC connections . In my experience with this you wont see much, if any, speed improvement over your current card and wireless system if they are already using 5GHz band (even if using N) .

189.96 mpbs is the fastest speed I can get

I purchased this so I could move my computer further away from my router. I have a Netgear NightHawk 1900AC router that has a 5ghz signal that supports 1300 mpbs. I moved my computer about 50feet away from my router on the same floor. Installed and setup the TP-Link. Verified Firmware was up to date. After a couple of tweaks and network tuning. I was able get a max download of 175-190 mpbs download through speedtest.net. My upload stayed at 50mpbs on both LAN and Wifi. However my LAN download speed is 850mpbs tested on speedtest.net. Overall the wifi card works great. Defiantly not able to get anywhere close to the 800mpbs speed on my LAN connection, But for 90% of users this card will fit the need. Just doesn't preform as advertized.

This card has been great. It's currently in use in my gaming desktop. My PC is located at the opposite end of the house from the router (~35 yards, multiple rooms and walls in between) and I am getting an average of around 45ms ping. It is also able to stream 1080p movies & shows without issue. I can tell a huge difference in performance compared to the USB adapter I was using previously. I have been using this network card for over 5 months and my experience with the T9E so far has been feeling like I have a hardwired ethernet connection. Two thumbs up. Also, as stated in previous reviews, you have to download and install the driver before it will work in Windows 10. So make sure you have a way of getting that. Be aware of Microsoft and their automatic updates. The Fall Creators Update for Windows 10 caused this card to stop working morning of 11/5/2017, probably an issue with the driver. I was forced to rollback the update to get wifi back. Since rolling back, the wifi still works great so I am blaming Microsoft for that one and hoping a fix is released.

Works very well once you get it completely set up. Initially it's pretty difficult to connect since it is designed for Windows 8 or 8.1. You have to go to their website to download the driver for windows 10, which obviously cannot be done without connecting using an Ethernet cable. Mine also would not connect in any of the PCIE slots except for x_4. I'm assuming that this card is perhaps designed as an X_4 format since my computer is top of the line. After the frustrating process of getting connected, though, the card works very well and is just as fast as the Ethernet connection.

This card rocks! MY Dell XPS 8900 came with a cheesy WIFI Card that didn't even allow me to connect to 5G Networks. So, to fix- I bought & installed this &have had no problems at all. It gives me great signal range & strength along with solid bandwidth for schoolwork, video streaming, gaming. Would Definitely recommend this!

Great looking compact PCIe Wifi card

I got this card to go full wireless in my room since I was using a 2 Ethernet port modem and a 5 port gigabit switch, and it was a bit messy for me. Picked up the Google OnHub router, and got this TP LINK Archer T9E to pair it with the AC1900 speeds. Once all setup, which is super easy if you've installed a graphics card or any PCIe card before, I was on and off to the races. Speedtest by Ookla gave me a ping of 14ms and download speeds of 116 Mbps on my first run-- Identical to my wired ethernet connection, save for the ping on wired was 13ms, but that's practically negligible. So whenever it's Bright House that isn't throttling me (speeds go down to 33 Mbps, again, I fully suspect it's ISP or dual router in house communication interference), this card almost literally performs exactly the same as a wired gigabit connection without the mess.

This card definitely outperforms the USB wifi adaptor we've been using. The wifi connectivity in the upstairs room was spotty at best and now it has a solid signal.

I read mixed reviews on this product before purchasing and the poor reviews were the correct ones. The drivers were not compatible with Windows 10. After visiting the manufacturer website and downloading the latest update that was listed as compatible, the new drivers didn’t work. I returned the product and moved on.

I have a desktop system set up in a remote area of my house; the system came with the standards 2.4GHz network wireless receiver. This adapter was very easy to install and, after a brief setup, the difference in speed was immediately obvious. Well worth the purchase.

While the adapter is a little pricey it has been completely without issue which is worth a lot to me. Set up was dead simple and the connection has been rock solid and fast. Not much else to say about a network adapter.

    Super Fast Wireless Card

The Archer T9E is without a doubt the next best thing to using a a wired Ethernet connection on a desktop. I have always been a big advocate of hardwired connections for desktops, but we all know that at times this is not possible due to many various issues. Today with the various wireless AC routers, the barriers that I previously had no longer seem to exist with using wireless. I got the T9E to go to a desktop we had in our second floor (I have my networking equipment in the home office in the first floor). Running a wire upstairs was going to take a lot more work than I really wanted to endeavor. Nonetheless, I felt this card could be the best option. When I first got the card, I was completely impressed that it actually came with both the long and short cover. which naturally helps as we were going to use this on an HTPC which is in a smaller case. It was simple to swap out the long cover to the short. The actual card looked sturdy and it was great that it had 3 antennas to really maximize the signal and quality of the signal. It has a nice little heat sink to help keep it cool too. It has a PCI-Ex1 plug which is good for the card plus is able to plug-in to all the other various PCI-Ex* slots. I initially installed the card on my brand new Windows 10 install. The drivers did not automatically download via Windows Update. However, I naturally pulled up the TP-Link site and was able to download the drivers to make it work, simple and easy. The product does come with a CD however, I do not have a disk drive on the HTPC I was using, so I was able to just download it and throw it on a flash drive. Once the card was up and running, I was amazed by the speeds I was able to achieve with it. I currently have Comcast's Xfinity Blast service. I am more than capable of maximizing my internet connection speeds (150/10 - I actually get more on both Ethernet and now wireless) while still maintaining great ping times. Another thing I had to verify with the card was moving files back and forth within my LAN. I have a NAS which contains most of our files including very large files. In all my tests I did, the wireless card handled the load perfectly (the limiting factor actually came down to my disk drives as it was maximizing their read/write speeds). Being that this card is being used in a HTPC, I also had to test various streaming video services. I had no buffering issues at all. All in all, I am very happy with the T9E. It works better than I would have expected for a wireless card. No matter what I threw at it, it handled everything perfectly. I have no reservations recommending this wireless card to everyone. It's without a doubt the perfect replacement for an Ethernet connection.
