I am very happy with this router. Unlike other routers I've installed in the past, this was easy to install and configure. Speed and performance are great. I also like the ability to monitor performance remotely via the app. Another feature I like is the ability to set up a guest network and share devices for guests to use. Even with Google's new "mesh" routers, this is still a good option for locations in which one router will suffice.

First and foremost, this router is very sleek. My wife always hated leaving our network equipment out in the open, but that's not a problem with the TP-Link Google OnHub. The status light is even her favorite color: teal. I've noticed significant increase in signal throughout the house and the ability to prioritize connected devices is an interesting bonus. It seems to help videos load on our Chromecast in the upstairs bedroom. It will be interesting to see how its ability to automatically update will further enhance its functionality.

Bought this to upgrade from an old wireless router. When I did a speed test on the old one, it came to 32mbps...not bad. But it continually seemed to disappear and need to be reset... I hooked up the HUB, it tested at 68mbps and I haven't had to reset it once. Truly awesome and worth the buy. Check it out if you're having trouble w/ wifi in upstairs rooms, or far from the router...get this. It's been great

As the title states, I have had a few wifi problems while owning different types of routers. This router addresses a lot of them. I am going to simplify this review since I know most people reading this are not too tech savvy. This has a smart feature that allows the wifi channels to be changed depending on how much traffic your neighbors cause. This will allow your internet connection to always be the most optimal. Another worthy feature is that it uses 2 antennas for fast and close proximity and also slower (but not bad) longer distance connections. This means that if you are at home near your router, you can take advantage of the faster antenna and if you are outside in your patio, it still connects with strong signals just a bit slower then if you were inside. My apartment is about 1200 sq ft. and I get perfect signal inside and out. My other most favorite feature to address is that this router lets you prioritize devices to have a faster connection. So if I am streaming on my smart tv, I can set it as the preferred connection so that my girlfriend's cell phone games don't interfere with my stream. Did I mention that this is also very very easy to install. You just connect it and download the onhub application to your phone and wham, everything you need in order to control your wifi is done via the app. The looks of this device is aimed towards the average consumer. You can put this device anywhere and have it stand out like a centerpiece on the shelf. I kind of wish there were more color options but this is a real good neutral one.

This was easy to set up and works much better than the one I was renting from my cable company. Reasonably priced and performs as described. I would recommend this to anyone.

I was looking for a replacement for another brand of router as it didn't seem to provide a good signal. I had heard good things about the On hub and was pleasantly surprised to find it lived up to all its claims. Easy to set up and provides a very consistent signal. The app makes it very painless. It is important to note: this is NOT a modem. You still need a modem to connect to the Internet.

I have used this router a little over a month now and all I can say is I love it and it is worth every penny. Google makes it very simple to setup and manage. Granted the price is steep for a router but the design and simplicity is awesome! One really cool feature is the prioritization of the network when you need to boost certain items ie ( phone, computer, gaming console) the speed boost or prioritization is a great little feature through the app.

I love my OnHub. It was super easy to setup, it's super stable, and it's delivering what it promised. I love being able to use my phone to manage it. Sure, if you're looking for a super elaborate network setup that might not be the router for you, but for a easy to manage, kicking and solid network it is! Plus it looks great!

I honestly had never heard of this device before but there was a sales associate in Best Buy when I was looking for a new router. He was very knowledgeable and compared this item with several others. He said that it is most easily compatible with other Google items and also with the nest programmable thermostat. I was sold. It was the easiest Wi-Fi router I have ever set up. Absolutely the easiest! It has worked flawlessly ever since and is easy to add in guest accounts. The range is fantastic and it has a really cool lighting to it.

This is a well designed router. Looks are pleasing. Easy and convenient to set up. But it lacks multiple network ports, thus can only be connected to one wired device. Lacking in features. Average speed. Overpriced for its limitations. Waiting on software updates to take it to its full potential.

I love how this router looks and it is the main reason that I bought this over all the other possibly better routers. The setup was easy but I don't play online game ands do not port forward. Basically, I have Verizon Actiontec so I had to essentially have two routers. The Verizon router and the OnHub but only the OnHub is a wireless access point. I use one of the ethernet connections on the Actiontec to connect to the WAN of the OnHub. OnHub does this seamlessly but during installation, Onhub suggested that I turn my Verizon Actiontec into a bridge and that really failed and then I found out one or two other little problems. I tried to reset the OnHub to the factory settings and the OnHub froze and never reset. Well after my adventures with optimizing the ethernet connection to Verizon Actiontec, I got things working and I get great WiFi throughout the house now. I love the teal light at night. Again, the aesthetic won me over and everything works, so it beats all the advanced routers out there in my book.

Goggle OnHub dual band router instructions was easy to read and set up. Like the color ring light (adjustable light intensity) on top letting you know when it's connected & working properly or not. Set was made easy with the on OnHub App. on my IPhone. Last but not least I appreciated the help I recieved from Best Buy at time of purchase. Sorry can't remember the name of young man who was very helpful

    Great Router/Extender

I've tried too many routers & extenders in an attempt to get wifi coverage throughout my 3-story 5,000+ sq ft house! This product finally did it! I use it as an wifi extender and it's hard wired to my Xfinity router in my basement office. (1) setup is a snap using the iOS app on my iPhone... it is so cool that I can now see all the devices that are connected & get signal strengths on each floor (2) the signal from this router covers the entire house, save the master bedroom which is the farthest distance on the third floor... I have a Netgear Extender for the master bedroom (3) I was having problems with my home security cameras (IP cameras), but this new router has fixed those issues, too. I don't see any downsides to this product, I've had it in my home for over 2 months now.

I went shopping for a range extender, my home is a very long one story ranch house, and my modem was placed at the very end of the house,(by cable company when setting up my cable) since that is where I had set up my office, desks, etc., and this "stuff" would have been very troublesome to move. Now I know the importance of midway placement! Well, the very nice saleslady began telling me and asking me some specifics, and she quickly realized that what I needed was a stronger signal directly from a new modem, rather than an extender. She made a lot of sense and after going over several things we settled on this Tp Link Google Onhub Dual-band Wi-fi router...It did the trick!! Fairly simple to install, but you (or at least I) needed a second person due to needing extra hands for holding cell phone close, and getting into my tight spot for working. I am very pleased, and am giving it only 4 stars rather than 5, due to having to download one program onto cell phone and then installing Onhub from That, instead of directly installing it!.
