I really like that I can use this to put my electronics on a schedule, or control them remotely. I also like that it tells me how much energy my electronics are consuming. Conserving energy is the reason why I purchased smart plugs to begin with so being able to see exactly how much energy is being used is very helpful. I’ve only had them for a couple weeks so I will see how they hold up.

Perfect control of power!

Had a need to be able to monitor power and remotely rebut a wi-fi modem and router. These worked perfectly! Inexpensive, well made, easy to setup and use. I monitor with a Kasa app on smart phone. I learned once a time is programmed, the units remember...I need them to turn equipment off, wait 15 minutes, then turn equipment back on. Works every time! Caution...unless you are on the same local network, if you remotely turn it off, you cannot turn it back on until you are back on the same network. However, has not been a problem. Otherwise...PERFECT!

This plug works great with Google or Alexa. I strongly recommend installing the Kasa TP-Link app on a cell phone first to set the plug up. An advantage of the app is that it will tell you how much power is being used when the plug is turned on. There is one caveat. The Kasa app appears to install the Wi-Fi plug on the phone even if VPN is turned on, but you need to first turn VPN off. It does not install properly with VPN turned on in the phone. I label each plug as light 1 or light 2, etc. Plugs can be turned on or off based on their location in the house also. The plugs can be programed to turn on at designated times when I am on trips, so the house looks occupied. Using verbal commands to control lights is a plus when I need to navigate at night. Also, it is nice to tell google or alexa to turn off any light that I forgot to turn off.

Great for Christmas tree lights -- easy as Hue

I bought a couple of these to control the Christmas tree lights since we added a small tree in the TV room this year along with the normal one (too many ornaments!). Anyway, I already have an outdoor TP-Link device with two plugs for the Halloween and Christmas light setups, which has worked flawlessly, and it was very easy to add these two plugs through the app. Once they were set up in the app, I had to connect them in the Alexa app, and then they were controllable through voice or simply through the schedule I set up in the Kasa app. They functioned on schedule without fail, and I never had to worry about turning the lights on and off each day. Most of the lights in the house are Philips Hue, and I have to say that the Kasa devices were just as easy to use. Highly recommended!

Most of the time it works perfectly. Every now and then, it loses connection with my network for whatever reason, causing me to have to re-connect it. Thankfully, that doesn't happen often. Its smaller size is a welcome change to the first generation plug, which was so large it prevented you from plugging anything into the second outlet. The best feature is it works with Alexa, so I can tell it to turn on a fan or my electric fireplace.

I use it to set up my side lamp in my bedroom to work with voice command. The app for this plug also allows you to set up a schedule to mimic like someone’s home if you’re away on vacation. Great deterrent to thieves.

I love Kasa Smart Wi-fi plugs. I have 3 hooked to lamps in different rooms. It is nice to be able to have the light on prior to entering by just calling out to Alexa to turn on a specific light. The Kasa app makes installing the plug relatively easy (had 1 that gave me a difficult time but I eventually won the installation battle). I love that you can set up a schedule for lights to come on and off at times I specify not to mention I can turn on the lights while away from using the app. Great security feature.

When it comes to smart plugs, There are a lot of options out there. I’ve used several brands over the years and the one thing I’ve noticed is, as technology evolves, eventually my plugs become outdated, no longer supported and I have to start over. I began using the Kasa plugs about a year ago as I phased out my failing devices and so far, they have worked great. Though nothing is perfect when it comes to setting up smart tech in your home, the Kasa app and plug devices work really well together. The process is as automatic and easy as one could hope for. In some cases, once you have the app up and running, it can scan and find new devices (like smart plugs) all by itself, without your help. For instance, during a visit to a family’s house, the app informed me it found a device and asked if I wanted to add it. Curious, I said yes. It instantly gave me control of that light switch. So, the Kasa app and devices are pretty easy to use and work well together. These specific plugs are also designed and work very well with Apple HomeKit integration which was also important to me.
Conclusion: These Kasa smart plugs work great for me. The app is good and pretty much takes care of everything automatically. I am controlling them with Alexa, Apple HomeKit and the Kasa app, simultaneously from multiple geographic locations with no problems whatsoever. Yay!

I purchased these to put my Christmas lights on HomeKit. I liked them so much i bought another two pack later. Setup was very easy and i just use them and they work, I dont have to go into their app. Im not sure if they’re recommended for outdoor use but I have one in a spot that is always dry outdoors and the temperature has been well below freezing with no problems.

Product was a sufficient replacement for the no longer supported Wemo Plugs I used to have. Works with Alexa but requires re-establishing connection whenever there's a product update on either side. Keep that in mind and I believe you'll have success with Kasa

I love these smart plugs. I’m able to turn lamps on with just my voice. I especially love it on my kuriq coffee maker. I wake up in the morning and say “Alexa turn on the coffee maker”, and by the time I make it to the kitchen it’s ready to go.

My new KASA Plug is all I needed and expected. The setup instructions were very easy to read and beneficial to me. I've only had the device up and running for the last 2 weeks. So far it does all I want; to auto turn On/Off a room lamp on nightly schedule that I was easily able to set up and now control. In addition, I can easily turn the same lamp on/off, as a one-off event thru the App on my phone while, we are out of the house.

Purchased for older mother so she could have her light setup on a timer and be able to turn it on at will without squeezing behind something to push a button on her old timer. Got with an Echo Dot and it works great. She loves it so i love it. Setup was pretty straightforward but it did take a little technical know how

I use these around the house for all kids of accessories like lighting, fans, espresso machine, grinder, etc… Have been using these exact ones for years now and never had any connectivity issues. These are well built and robust. I also like the light indicator on them, it’s a nice visual to see if they are on or not.

Purchased a while ago. Connected nicely with HomeKit. I tucked mine away up high, so when it lost connection with HomeKit a couple weeks post setup, I feared I’d have to climb up there frequently to hit the restart button, but it’s run smoothly ever since.
Just a heads up, smart home devices like this (that connect directly to your router) typically have old wifi internals and will often slow your wifi. Most people won’t notice with a few, but power users and people with a number of these sorts of devices will struggle.

I like the Kasa's ability to schedule on/off function at sunrise & sun set. That's why it's called smart, I guess. My mom won't have to constantly reset the manual timers with the sunlight changes, which is great. Setting this plug up with the TP-Link app, then adding it to Google Home was quick & easy. I'll get more of these!
