If you are looking for a wireless router that is incredibly easy to set-up and can take it on the go with you, definitely purchase this TP-LINK router! When I chatted with Best Buy trying to find a resolution for my application need, they suggested this router. They said there is no set-up required. Literally plug in the power and the ethernet cable and log on to the passcode on the router. Badda bing, badda boom, you're connected.
I am in a band where we run our own professional sound. We have a mixing board that connects to the wireless router. We then connect our iPads to the router and we can access the mixing board remotely. The connection is super quick and very stable using this router. It's so easy to set-up and it takes up little space.

Faxing through Vonage on wireless network

In the modern world, surprising that we still have to occasionally fax things, but it is what it is. Task was to make an all in one printer/scanner/fax be able to send faxes through Vonage without having a landline or hard network connection in the room - all wireless going back to router and Comcast cable modem. Set up of the device was tricky, took longer than expected to get it to work properly, but once done, hooked it up to the Vonage device and it works! Part of the issue was that Vonage would not connect through my Apple time capsule/router, but when I set it up to go directly to the wireless on the Comcast modem, Vonage was able to connect. I can now send faxes with no problem.
Set up instructions on the device could use some improvement, such as clarification of which mode to use. I understand they provide free technical support, which I didn't have to use. For the price and performance, as well as the tiny size factor, I highly recommend this device!

My roommate and I needed to find a good router for our room, and I found this fast. Its super small which is great for a dorm room. The signal strength is amazing! Definitely recommend.

While they are not the most robust access points, they get the job done, are easy to set up, and easy to configure.

I bought this unit upon recommendation fro a techie that I get a "repeater" to extend the range of my home WIFI signal. The reviews for this particular model seemed decent, so I gave it a try - a real disappointment. It is only slightly better than useless. And the website the manual directs you to doesn't even exist! Four emails to the manufacturer have resulted in nothing either.

Dear Customer, We thank you for your interest in our product and apologize that you were unable to get the unit to work as needed. One comment that we would like to address is the domain provided to install this device (tplinklogin.net), this is not an actual web address or site you will find on the internet, this domain allows you to directly access our device to install it. With that in mind, it sounds like your computer was not connected to our router and that is why the login page did not appear. If the product is still in your possession, we recommend contacting our 24/7 technical support hotline so an available technician will gladly walk you through the installation of this product. Hopefully, one of our agents will hear from you soon.

I bought this device as a repeater, to extend the range of my home wireless network. The written directions that came with it served no purpose - they told me to go to a website that appeared not to exist. Five email exchanges and a 40 minute phone call later, I was able to successfully set it up as a repeater and it finally does what it is supposed to do.

Dear balimorean, We sincerely apologize about the difficult setup with this product but glad to hear it's finally up and running. For future reference, step one of the Configuration Mode Setup in the QIG shows the hardware connection from your computer to our product followed by step 2 then directing you to type in the login domain to access the little router. This is not an actual website so internet access is not necessary, that domain is how you are able to access the device and properly configure it. We do appreciate the feedback as TP-Link is always looking to improve our products and all documentation for them. Quality of product and ease of use are priority when it comes to our product development. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact our 24/7 technical support hotline and an available technician will gladly answer any of your inquiries.

When I found this product and read through its capabilities, I was fairly impressed. Reading some reviews made me buy this product.
My experience: Getting started was not difficult, I wanted to use this as a repeater and it was a breeze to setup and I got started in no time. Used a wireless analyzer on my phone and signal strength seemed ok, if not great. The happiness did not last long - the product keeps disconnecting from the internet (or let's say the primary router). Totally unreliable. I work from home and need a stable network all around the house. Thought this would be an inexpensive way to fill some corners, but sadly that's not the case. Returning it. I'll setup a powerline ethernet, and invest a little more in a fullsize router/repeater.

Dear abhizone, We apologize that this product simply did not work out for you. These travel routers work great as a repeater, but only to extend your wireless maybe 1-2 rooms further due to its size. Investing a more powerful dedicated repeater may be a better solution and certainly hope another model will completely alleviate your wireless coverage issues.

So I bought this to use at hotels and have secure internet instead of using the wifi used. I was told by TP-Link that if the hotel has an internet type logon then this product would not work. Well thats what I wanted to buy it for. Just about all places have a website type logon for internet. So... this was returned.
