I've been a Tracfone user for almost 3 years now. This is my 3rd phone as I've done a couple of upgrades along the way. this phone and tracfone service is a reasonable alternative to some of the very expensive plans that are on the market today. While features may be limited I still have good service, send and receive messages reliably and overall feel it is a great value.

Had a tracfone flip and decided to move up to a smart phone. This one is quite adequate for general simple use. I have not used it for a lot of texting or Internet but it will do both.
The camera isnt as good as an iPhone.
Because there's no contract I put a 365 day, $99 card on it and got triple minutes which is adequate for my use.

I am not a big phone user so while I'd love to have an Iphone, I'm not willing to pay $40 a month for only light use. So this tracfone Android seems the right compromise on functionality/cost. I do wish it would have warned me that I had (while traveling) used up my data allocation, and I wish it wouldn't go through a full charge so fast, but for normal use around home it suits me fine.

A nice phone to use as a Trac phone. It is compact and has all the features of more expensive phones with a lot of Apps standard.
Set up was done by a knowledgeable Best Buy associate which was a great help!

son wanted a cheap android phone to play games on and i wasn't about to let him use m ipad lol. overall its a slower android phone but works for basic games! throw it on wi-fi and forget about it. definitely a good phone if you are on a budget or for kids or back up phone.

I find the phone to be just great but I am still learning all the features. I use the online manual for such times and that is really helpful. I even showed my friend something that she hadn't done.

This is basically my second Android after two months with an off name brand that broke down. I have nothing to compare it to. It is fine for my use and some of the aps are useful but I don't use it to full potential. I am disappointed at the battery life and I keep settings to minimal.

I wanted an inexpensive smart phone that Samsung phone from TRACFONE meets this requirement and provides the basic functionality without spending a fortune on either the phone or the contract.

We bought this for my mom for Christmas. It was her first smart phone/android device. Works fine for her needs. It is slower than I like as an experience android user, but she doesn't notice.

My mom is trac phone loyal. I got this phone as her first smart phone. And she loves it. She was glad to have it when she was out and got lost. Turned on google maps and it got her on the right path.
As Samsung phones go it is basic. But if you're doing trac phone it is the only way to go.

The phone is easy to use once you become comfortable with it. Feature rich for the price. One drawback is battery life which seems to me to be short.

This phone does all that I could ask of a cell phone. With a laptop computer and a tablet, I need the phone only for phone calls and texting. It is a compact, sleek, phone and it is easy to use. Unlike other cell phones I have had, this one has a battery that holds a charge longer than I ever would have expected.

Have had no problems with this phone, works great. I would recommend it to a first time android/smart phone user or a seasoned user. So far it has been simple to operate with no major glitches or operating malfunctions. Has been in use since Christmas. Camera takes good clear pictures.

The camera works. It's not the best. Certainly not the worst. I'm not addicted to my cellphone, so this is an excellent compromise phone to give me the services that I need, for the times that I need them, without having to pay for a lot of bells and whistles that I'll probably never use. Let alone even ever know I had them. The phone is good. Usual issues of learning new equipment. In a little over a week, I had pretty much everything I was looking for figured out. Only advice, download the actual owner's manual online. The documentation included in the packaging isn't worth the paper it was printed on.

Bought for my daughter, 8yo..calls and text's are the only things she uses it for..and are the only thing that works fast, other option's internet etc that I tried are just way to slow.,, downloads,Internet etc. And even though tracfone runs on any of the major carriers network's signal strength varies greatly even from one side of the house to the other (did both by window ) also loses signal the farther you go (smaller distant town's ) but was able to still get signal on my Verizon phone (S4), and her previous tracfone was a lower end LG model which did get signal in same place as above. However if it's just used for basic calling in your home area and you don't need/use for travelling. For the price...it's worth putting in a glove box/kids backpack for emergencies or to ck on at friends house...so if you stay local or in populated area's even distant ie: Could use in say Chicago on way to Buffalo dead spots along the way but would be fine in buffalo and in almost any metro area along the way. ..they do offer better models ,most reasonably priced that would get better reception...and you can almost always find a few tracfones on sale....
