Thumbsticks are highly sensitive which is different than other controllers used in the past. Also had a difficult time connecting the controller to turtle beach account for customization. Overall not a bad controller!

This controller is not worth the price tag it is given. It looks cool and has all these cool features but runs poorly. Start with the sticks the sticks are so loose and wobbly it ruins the purpose of the hall effect feel from other controllers. The buttons get stuck and the triggers feel weird. Honestly just buy the gamesir for $40 off of amazon

Lots of options to customize your way

The Turtle Beach Stealth Pivot Wireless controller is an interesting way to have a self-contained modular controller. I’ve seen other controllers that you can take out and replace modules for more customization, but it also drivers up costs and complexity. The Stealth Pivot finds a nice balance at a good price to give you some customization and flexibility in how you want to use it. It is a little bigger and heavier than a standard plug-in controller, but felt good in my hands, not cramped like other controllers. The grip felt good and stayed in my hands. The colors are nice, and the LEDs not overpowering. There is software to customize the buttons and display. The display is large enough to read and can display social media information if wanted in addition to the controller status. Depending on what you use it with you have 3 different ways to connect. For PC wireless, you have to use the included dongle which takes up a USB-A slot. Wired, you can connect to a PC or X-Box. For Bluetooth (BT) you can only connect to a mobile device. All 3 connections responded well on a PC or Android phone. Responses were good and no lag was evident. The battery is rated for 20 hours of use. On the top you get 2 mini sticks and a D-Pad for movement with 4 buttons. Flipping them over you get D-Pad and 8 buttons. Besides that, you get a slider for audio, on/off button, menu options, analog and button trigger buttons, and 2 buttons underneath. The rotation release, and short/long trigger option buttons are also available. Charging/connecting is done through a USB-C connector on the connector.
To the big item, the rotation of the A and B sides. Two things must happen. You must release the lock from underneath and rotate the mini-sticks to the down position. Turning the top of the mini-sticks left or right will raise and lower them. The pivots will only rotate with the min-sticks in the down position. I tried as hard as I could to twist them while playing without grabbing them and was not able too. The force required to rotate the min-sticks won’t allow them to raise or lower by accident, so no worries of the sticks collapsing while playing. I found being able to switch the pivots better than I thought. For driving or flying type sims, the 2 mini-stick layout worked best. For fighting games, rotating the right side to get 6 buttons instead of 4 and min-stick was much better. I usually kept the mini-stick on the left in use with the D-Pad. One D-Pad and 2 buttons didn’t give the best options for most games to me. In changing the pivots you don’t have to do select anything or make additional changes, just flip and the new layout takes over.
There is software you can download for PC and mobile to customize the controller. You can also go through the onboard menu options to do all of the major changes you would like. The 3.5 jack volume/mute can be controlled by the slider under the on/off button. You can have chats or other media display on the on-screen display. It’s not big, but good enough to convey information. You can have 5 different profiles to save the layout and colors you want. The software still needs some work, but it gets the job done. All of the options to change are available and not hard to find and change as you want. 20 hours will last for a long gaming session. The force feedback was good and responsive. I had no drift with the sticks. You can adjust the deadzones as wanted in the software for more control.
As this can be wireless, it is bit heavier due to having a battery, but I like the feeling of heft is provides and the slightly larger controller in my hands. It’s all plastic, but felt good in my hands, and not slippery. The options to customize are available on the device or through software. The LED display can show useful information, but I kept mine clean with just want was needed. It’s to bad it has BT, but it only works on a mobile device. Being able to connect it to a PC without losing a USB slot would have been nice. Hopefully the software gets better with time, but it does what you need too. You have to connect by wire for some options. I think it’s a fine controller and innovative in giving more options without having to physically replace buttons or controllers.

Quality Gaming Controller

The Turtle Beach-Stealth Pivot Wireless Smart PC Gaming Controller is comfortable in the hands and allows for flexibility.
The toggles for LT and RT are perfect for a more responsive play in fighting games.
The pivot feature isn't cheap and is easy to rotate. This is a plus for me. Like that it is made with quality materials.
Changing the button mapping on P1 P2 was simple and the multiple profiles allow different settings for a choosing a game.
A slight humming sound can be heard when the battery is low. This is good because it allows you to know when the battery is about to die. This helps ensure that your less likely to leave the controller unplugged and die without knowing.
The application feels a few years outdated. But this wasn't a deal breaker. There were certain settings of the app that could be improved. Because of this took away one star.
Overall, would recommend the controller to others.
Pros:
Quality Controller
Great Toggle control
Easy rotation
Sound to indicate the battery is running low.
Con:
The App could use a bit of an improvement.

High Tech- Feature Rich Controller

The Turtle Beach Stealth control is a hefty controller that feels like a solid high end controller in your hands. I was pleasantly surprised by the weight of the controller while taking it out of the box and getting it set up on the computer.
Pros:
Battery Life ( 20+ Hours)
Mappable buttons
Social Notifications!
Multi-Device connection
Cons:
Wired for Xbox
Digging intop the review of this controller I mainly utilized it for the PC as I am able to play most of my Xbox games on there. The setup was rather simple and the app ( Control Center 2) was feature rich enough to get what I wanted and able to connect to everything needed. I did like how easy it was to customize the controller right from the start in whatever I wanted to do. The settings when I dug into them, allowed for me to connect with Bluetooth to my smart TV if you have that function to play games.
The Switch feature was a little like have a multiple controllers in one as I went from being able to play my FPS games to playing Tekken in an instant by rotating the center controls. It turns it into a fight pad! So if your into fighting games this was super slick and easy just rotate the middle section and boom fight pad.
The thumbstick felt very sturdy when I put almost 100 hours of gameplay in COD. No soft or drift in the usage.
Overall this controller is chalk full of features that will make every gamer enjoy and feel teched out. This is now my favorite gaming controller simply due to its high quality build and multi function usage on the PC and Xbox.

Maybe too sensitive?

I thought I was overreacting to the sensitivity of the joysticks. So I asked my son for some input. We both agreed something seemed off.
The size and weight of the controller is great. It feels terrific in hand. But something felt off.
After a little extra testing, we tried wired and wireless. And we found why it felt off. Wired it was a lot less noticeable, but the "off" was still there.
Let me explain. This may just be a matter of getting use to the stick. It may just be a matter of a firmware update. But the joystick seems to hold the input just slightly past when you release the stick or button. Initially we thought this was a wireless delay, but the same was happening with the stick wired but was just slightly less of a delay.
When playing in Rocket League, the car was over rotating. When playing Trackmania, the car was oversteering. When testing with Pinball FX, the delay on the flippers was just enough of a delay to affect shots. This was consistent on both my PC and my sons.
Like I said, it may just be a matter of getting use to the stick. The return to center is probably the most noticeable delay.
The other issue is the resistance on the joysticks. If you like a very loose stick, the resistance is very minimal.
Overall, I think you can adjust to the stick. I am talking very minimal delays, so adjusting your response could be quite feasible. I only took the star off because of the "off" feeling. Within about 20 minutes I got use to the stick. Going back to my original stick did not take me adjusting back to what I am use to.
The issues may be nothing more than a firmware update, I am on current levels. It could also be a calibration issue. I am sure it can be corrected in some manner.

I've never been one for third-party controllers, but I'm always open-minded. Turtle Beach has always made some amazing product. I've always known them to be more about their audio product, but this controller is definitely a step up for them. The way that you can manipulate the buttons is almost how you can do vsp Microsoft and Sony's $250 elite controllers. The biggest thing that jumps out for me is their low latency connectivity. It uses Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to sync up to the system so it keeps timing perfect. Maybe it's Overkill but when you're trying to stay connected maybe you could do no less. This could very well become the standard because there's definitely no drag in this thing. The battery life lives up to the hype. I played some serious hours and think got up around 18 hours or so until I started getting warnings. All in all this is a fantastic controller. It's not going to be my main controller. It's going to be my son's main controller. He plays more Xbox and PC games than I do. He had way less complaints than I did. He swears it is the cat's pajamas of video game controllers. You can trust a word of a 9-year-old definitely get you one.

Immense Flexibility

The Turtle Beach Stealth Pivot is one of those devices that promises to deliver you everything including the kitchen sink, and is one of the rare devices that legitimately delivers it. It has layout flexibility that likely will meet the needs of nearly any gamer, with features that make it feel like a top tier controller in a market full of options.
For the most part, I'm an FPS gamer; I've dabbled in the MMO/RPG realm of gaming, but for the most part, I spend my time with shooters. The default layout (two analog sticks, d pad, and 4 buttons) suits my needs well, providing the standard input options needed for shooters. With the addition of the two extra buttons on the back of the controller, this unlocks additional options for ultimate control (in my case, I use these two buttons for certain maneuvers like character diving and weapon reloads).
Each stick zone has a secondary layout that completely transforms the controller. For instance, those into fighters may opt for the secondary layout on both sides, which surfaces a d pad and two buttons on the left, and 6 total buttons on the right, giving you all the inputs needed for some crushing hit combos. Likewise, those into RPG style games may opt for the d pad + stick left layout, and the 6 button right layout. The options feel extensive, and that doesn't even factor in the onboard settings that can be tweaked directly from the controller. Onboard support for different profiles is available, along with some additional button mapping features, enabling you to map the D-Pad as you see fit, along with the rest of the buttons on the controller. This is where one of my favorite features comes into play; Pro Aim. This allows you to set one of the buttons to allow for a different aim sensitivity. Practically, this means you can set your aiming sensitivity as normal in game, and then on the controller, specify a different sensitivity while aiming down sights with the press of a button. I've found this helped immensely with sniping in FPS games.
Finally, I'll mention the mic and social functionalities. While I haven't used them much beyond a quick test, those on an Xbox may find it incredibly useful to be able to not only run your headset through your controller, but use the controller to help control things like mic mute, volume, etc. Additionally, you can set the controller to show social alerts as well. Again, I didn't use this particular feature extensively, but having the ability to quickly view Xbox chats or the like could be incredibly useful to those on consoles.
Overall, the summary of my review of the Stealth Pivot could be distilled down into two words; insane flexibility. The various layouts afforded here enable gamers of all genres. My personal experience with this gamepad in FPS shooters was great; the ergonomics feel good, the customization features are an added bonus (especially the Pro Aim setting), and the sticks feel adequately stiff without being too stiff. They also lack any perceivable stick drift, which is a huge bonus, though it remains to be seen with extended use how they'll hold up given stick drift gets worse with use. If you're considering a gamepad for multiple genres of gaming, consider the Stealth Pivot to be an excellent option.

Changed my opinion about console-style controllers
|

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
Long story short - I've never been much on game consoles because I've been brought up in the PC world and have lived there my entire life.
I figured I'd give a hybrid use-case to the test - PC to run the game, console to play the game.
Physically, I was not disappointed at all. This controller screams the typical Turtle Beach quality build, quality materials and built to last. I especially liked the ability to swap the controls from side to side. I'm a righty, but I can see how swapping the two sides would be especially handy for a left all day long!
Ergonomics were right on par - my hands didn't get tired or crampy, but admittedly they did get sweaty.
Now, the next step of my experiment - is it the controller that sways me away from consoles, or the rendering/performance of the game on the console? So, I borrowed my step-daughter's X-box for several days and played a game I have on PC as well - Battlefield 2042. which I also tested on PC using this controller.
It's not the controller - using the game controller on a PC on the same game as a console just wasn't as good as playing on the console, which means, I've missed out for quite some time on using a console-style controller! Using the stock controllers from the console just didn't do it for me like this Turtle Beach controller did.
This Stealth Pivot gives me a nice option to use to mix things up a bit - I REALLY like it!

WAIT! WHAT?

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
A Turtle Beach Stealth Pivot just landed on my front porch and I find a lot to love and nothing to hate.
It is beefy feeling, a bit on the hefty side but comfortable in my hand and all buttons and triggers are easy to reach, even the bottom buttons that I never use. It's basically a Xbox Elite but with some interesting improvements and tweaks. With the out of the box configuration you get the standard Xbox controller layout... left joystick and D-Pad and right joystick and ABXY buttons. But now the oddity with major cool factor.
Now the Wait, What moment... The Pivot gets its moniker from the unique control pad flip feature. On the bottom of the controller there are two lock/unlock (switches which I though would kill the bottom buttons but not the case) that allow you to pivot the control pads independently. Meaning when you unlock you can pivot to a completely different configuration that is without joysticks (left D-Pad/LSB/RSB and right P1/P2/ABXY buttons). Not my style but still a cool feature. Each pivot pad works independently so if you like one layout better than the other you can mix and match to your playing style. Another cool feature is the height adjustment on the joysticks. Turning the joystick head either clockwise or counter-clockwise will raise or lower the joystick maybe about 2 or 3 mm. The sticks need to be in the lower position to pivot the pad and can with a twist bring them up to full height which I need for sports games like Madden. I tried Madden 23 with the joysticks in the lower position and it hampered the QB running so up periscope :).
The triggers feel great with adjustable trigger stop similar to the Xbox Elite. If you use the triggers for a quick response (on/off) then flip the switch on the bottom next to the trigger to reduce the pull of the trigger. If you are, say doing a driving game, then keep the triggers to full operation which will give you more control over speed rather than full on or full off. Same for braking.
The onboard display is simple enough and pretty much is for onboard and on the fly configuration purposes only. It's easy enough to switch profiles without having to go into the game setup. The Turtle Beach Control Center 2 software gives you full control of all buttons, triggers, D-pad and joysticks. You can create custom profiles and sync to the Pivot so you can switch on the fly. I ran the calibration routine to make sure all buttons and sticks were functioning properly... check!
This controller is Xbox and PC compatible and comes with a wireless dongle for the PC, which isn't needed for the Xbox. I sure wish there was a way to have universal controllers on these feature rich controllers but the technology challenges are hard to overcome. It's been that way forever and I don't see it changing anytime soon.
I own several XBox/PC controllers and this has got to be my go to controller going forward.
