I’ve had Twinkly lights for my Christmas tree for two years, and I love them. The app is easy to use and there are a variety of predefined effects available to download. Some don’t work so well on a three dimensional surface like a tree, so I’ve been wanting to get a curtain. When the 400 light set came on sale, I decided to create my own curtain. I made a 5’x5’ matrix, spacing the rows 3” apart to match the spacing of the lights in the string. The Twinkly app then mapped the lights, and any desired effect can be assigned. The dots are different from the string lights. Each light is in a silicone button which diffuses the light, creating a softer effect. You can apply any of the Twinkly library effects to it, but when laid out as a linear string as I have down, you basically have a one pixel wide element. It results in some unexpected results with some of the effects. There were supposed to have been adhesive stickers for the dots, but my box did not have them.

I was tired of buying different colors of string lights for each season, and "imagined" one that was app driven, that I could put on once, and change the colors at will (like wifi bulbs). Here it is!! I was thrilled to see these, bought 2 sets, and loved them so much I bought 2 more. I had NO idea what dots were, but love them, too, now that I have them. The app is stellar. (Apps tend to be a weak point with many wifi products.) The string lights were easy to pair with my home wifi, and the phone app is very intuitive to use. These lights are on steroids!! You have TONS of programmed options, all which you can alter and resave. It's easy to GROUP multiple sets of these lights together, and MAP them with you phone camera, and then create giant pattern across all the sets paired. AMAZING. (I paired 3 sets for this tree.) You can create your own light patterns, colors, and animation speeds (EASY to do.) Quality packaging, GREAT app, and very solid, well-designed product. (note, with the 9.5 foot tree in photo I used 3 sets of 400 lights.)

Love these lights. They were easy to set up, fun to play with, look great in my front yard and I get lots of compliments for the Twinkle in my bushes. The colors for Christmas are perfect and I’ve set them up with automation in my Apple Home App. Great set of lights.

I love these lights! It is surprisingly bright! So much brighter than any other Christmas lights I've ever seen. And the ability to program specific customizations is so cool! We spent hours playing with them

In total, I've bought 2900 Twinkly lights in strings - 7x400 sets and a 100-LED set. The 400-light sets also each came with a USB-powered 60-light string, so I have 7 of those as well. At first, I bought these to throw on a coat that I was going to wear to an outdoor event. I connected them in haphazardly, then strapped a Jackery 290 power station to my butt under the long pirate coat I wore, and it ran them (and a 100-string on my hat) for a good 4 hours with only an 8W draw while I controlled it with a spare Pixel 3 XL phone running a hotspot (without Internet access or cell signal to boot). The special effects were insanely great - having apparel that pulsed and throbbed with the beat was a very novel idea to attendees, and it was attention-getting as can be. After that, I used four of these (1600 lights in total) on the front wall of my house to create a light display (and 2 sets in an alcove around the front door to make another 800-light display). ... and within 24 hours, I had the HOA leadership knocking at my door to ask me not to make it look like emergency / first responder lights. In response, I used the Twinkly desktop app to mirror Rick Astley's video of "Never Gonna Give You Up" on loop, then did the same with Wham's "Last Christmas" and Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You," all complete with audio on speakers outside the house. Considering that it lets you mirror ANYTHING you have displaying on a Windows PC, well... the possibilities are endless, and I can't but cackle evilly when I come up with a new one. Sure, you can argue that this is a HUGELY frivolous and unnecessary use of disposable income. Considering that I can leave this stuff up year-round, though, I consider it a VERY good use of mine.

These lights are amazing every day we would change the colors. And we went from5 bins of Christmas bins with lights to one bin that isn’t even full. So much less space taken up. Expensive but worth it I hope they last at least 5 years

Super fun!! I love how these turned out! Super festive and easy to make work with the app!! If your wife likes different colors than you it’s possible to change the colors at the drop of a dime!!

Love these. They’re fully customizable and just work. Our tree looked amazing with these. Zero complaints and would buy again.

He’s like a great fun to play with in this package comes with two different types. Best money I ever spent on Christmas lights, and with the app you can do so much with the lights, it’s unlimited fun. I honestly don’t wanna take them down!

Blown away by these lights. The designs you can display are very very cool. Installation is pretty easy. The app was the only issue I had where it didn't want to connect to the lights over WiFi at first but after many tries it eventually did.

Love the WiFi capabilities, easy to setup and program you likes. Is great not only for Christmas with the 16 million colors celebrate all the holidays with lights.

We keep adding more every year, easy set up with phones and wifi in range. Great designs and fun to change up the design. We put these on our tree

So many things you can do with this set! Not limited to christmas or the tree. Ive had so much fun and wasted so many hours, lighting the house up. Easy to set up and easy to get lost in. I recommend.

The Best Christmas lights. They are very cool addition to improve decorations. The preset patterns are great. With mapping you can customize your own pattern.

Mapping the lights can be a bit confusing, but once tou figure it out, WOAH!

These are my third and fourth Twinkly light sets … The 400 light set I put outside and letting it just do confetti in a multitude of colors… The dots I’m using indoors as a decoration in my dining room… I have a 600 light set on my Christmas tree And a wreath that hangs on my front door that does a rotating swirl of color. I think the displays are brilliant.
