The speaker kit works well. It includes speaker wire, albeit a high gauge, to connect to the stereo itself. However, it does not include speak wire for the connection of the rear speakers to the receiver in the back of the room. This might be good as you are free to choose the gauge of your choice for a slightly better experience. Overall I would highly recommend the box for someone that does not want to run speaker wire across their living room.

I have been using a definitive technology sound bar ssa-50 coupled with a pinnacle baby boomer sub and this worked well for a while. I had started using this because I didn't like wires across the floor to power my surround channel. Well I got tired of not having the rear channels and started looking for a solution. And this was it. I know some will say that powering the rear channels with this would result in anemic sound, and true enough it does not meet the quality of my def tech equipment and it would be a problem with full range source material. But the rear signal is really fill in sound and gives hints and suggestions, the rears are not expected to equal the front and center channels. I really enjoy more fully my home movie watching. One problem though with this solution for those who use SACD and DVD-A source material you will notice the difference immeadiatly, so for those fans of DVD-A and SACD we need to keep hunting for a cost effective solution because I do enjoy those formats. For those who don't listen to those formats find a good SACD set up and listen to Pink Floyd or Emerson Lake and Palmer and hear a whole new dimension of sound,

Not having to run wires all around to the rear was naturally the main reason for the purchase. I've had no problem with the device. Hook up was easy enough and the sound is fine, at least to my ears. If you don't want to run long runs of speaker wire and deal with trying to conceal them then this product should be considered for sure.

Had to buy this since running wires to my rear speakers would have been impractical in my new family room. I was skeptical, but everything worked exactly as it says on the box. If there was any loss of range/fidelity using this wireless setup, I could not tell. Very easy to set up. Just remember you have to make room for the receiver for the rear speakers. (You can hang it on the wall, or disguise it by placing it on a nearby bookshelf.)

First one I bought had a broken piece and wasn't working. Decided to give it another chance and got another one in exchange. The boxes are very light and feel pretty fragile, but once everything was connected it worked pretty well. It was easy to set up and our family has been enjoying now for about a month without a problem.

For a wireless system, I was very impressed. The sound quality is very good and there is very little lag at all. Virtually unnoticeable.
That being said, at anything over 50% volume on the receiver box, there is a very obvious white noise coming from the rear speakers. You probably won't hear it if you're watching a movie though.
To fix the above issue, simply increase the volume of your main audio receiver on the rear channels and then turn DOWN the Rocketfish receiver until you've balanced out the sound. This will *almost* eliminate all of the white noise.
I'm also having a slight problem with speaker cut outs when the Rocketfish receiver is not in line of sight (most likely due to interference).
I would still recommend this device for the price!

I had the first version of this and it stopped working after 10 years. So, after doing a bit of research, this new version became my choice. It is very easy to set up and works so much better than the previous version. It sounds great and the room is filled with great sound. I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't want to break the bank but still wants good performance.

Effective way to connect satellite speakers

With proliferating means of connecting remote speakers (and proliferating speakers that come with wireless connections), this item may be a bit retro, but it was perfect for adapting an existing pair of quality speakers for duty as satellites on the back side of the living room, without hiding speaker wire. The transmitter was placed atop a tall cabinet, the receiver atop one of the speakers. Nice and simple.
The two outgoing speaker wires go from receiver to transmitter, and the the receiver has matching outputs. The system only provides for two different speakers (and can presumably power only two. Output is given as "5 volts"). A subwoofer could be connected, but for most users, better wireless connectors are available using RCA cables. My system uses such a transmitter for a remote subwoofer; its transmitter was placed 8 feet from the Rocketfish transmitter, and they do not interfere with each other.
Sound quality for the speakers seems excellent.

I purchased this kit to transmit audio to the rear surround speakers I have. My room was not pre-wired and we didn't want to run any wires through the walls or baseboards. Installation was very easy and had it working in minutes. Regarding the sound, we haven't noticed any audio dropping off, at least to our ears. I would recommend this to anyone not wanting to run speaker wires.

Perfect to get your rear speakers all connected without the hassle of having wires all over your room. Plus with such a long range for wireless you have so many options for flexibility in where you want to place them. Perfect size that is easy to conceal without taking up a lot of room. Even has a extra volume control on the back for you to get the best performance and sound possible out of your rear speakers.

These are now working well. Initially, I bought one kit thinking it would work for me. Unfortunately, it turned out that it did not and I had to purchase two kits, one for each rear speaker. The relatively large black receivers are a bit obtrusive on our light-colored walls with our white speakers. Although these units do eliminate the front to rear speaker wires, each one has an obtrusive black power cable running from a power outlet to the receiver as well as the white (in our case) speaker wire from each receiver to its corresponding speaker. In summary, the system was difficult to set up (which was done by the Geek squad) and difficult to integrate into our room décor but now provides good sound.

No pairing necessary and works well. I have a set of BOSE speakers connected to it and when my receiver shows DTX or when there should be surround sound, the rear speakers work well. In addition, there is a volume adjuster for the rear speakers to allow you to adjust the volume if the rear are too low and/or need to be louder.

This is the only unit to work with an existing tuner/receiver I found to run rear speakers "wirelessly". Simple bluetooth from sender to receiver that speaker wires hook into. Decent price, works good. better than soundbars that dont have aux capability or rca to run phono

My original wireless rear speaker transmitter became defective and was no longer available. Saw the rocketfish on Best Buy & decided to purchase. It was very easy to install & has worked out well. Like the volume control so quite easy to balance front & back speakers.

Finally! A way to get active rear speakers without lacing wires all over. It was easy to set up and use.
It's a bit early to rate duribility but so far, so good.
Honestly, I'm having a hard time in finding which venues are using surround other that BluRay. 'Lil help?

My wife and I rearranged the family room and then realized there was not a very easy way to get the rear surround sound speakers behind the sofa. I started looking online for a solution and stumbled across this system. It was well priced so I ordered it. It came quickly, was easy to install, and the system along with our old speakers work incredibly well together.

I used this to set up my theatre system in my home. I was also able to use two different sets to run my back channel speakers and my mid-room speakers. They don’t cross talk with each other and it saved me time and money with having to run wire through walls and under floors. They work great!

I wanted to find a solution to remove wires all over my living room and go wireless for the rear speakers. I didn't want to spend a fortune and I didn't want to replace my receiver and speakers. This is a great and reasonably priced solution. No dropped signals, and works flawlessly; you'd never know that there are no wires running from the receiver.

This one works great! I bought this kit to replace the older version I bought around five years ago. It would occasionally lose connection or make popping noises through the speakers. The new version has no issues with maintaining a connection and the popping noise from the rear speakers is gone! I’d definitely recommend this wireless rear speaker kit.
