Initially, I liked the case better than the Logitech Keyboard case (too thick) for the 10.5. I am currently using a blend of the 2. For normal, carry around to meetings (using pencil to take notes), I just have the UAG case. When I want to do heavy typing (like I am currently, I attach the Logitech keyboard to the IPad and start typing. (The keyboard still attaches and works great. As such, here are my thoughts on this case by itself. PROs: Feel - 5 Nice feel with a great grip. I know that my chances of dropping this is minimal. Sometimes, I need to put under arm while I use both hands, and it stays put. I will hold it while walking and if I bump my arm against a wall, door, etc, it is not easy to let go. Logitech (and I assume Apple's) keyboard still attaches if needed for extended typing. Design - 1 or 5 depending on use. 1 - Laying flat on Desk: Note taking. Using the pencil heavily for taking notes where you lay this case on a flat surface. The pencil securing clip causes the back part to be unbalanced. As such, when taking note, your palm can lift up, then touch the IPad again and it impacts the way the note taking apps work. You bring up extra menus which slow down note taking. I had to put some "feet" that I picked up at Home Depot on select spots to prevent this. If UAG could find a way to make the pencil holder thinner so that the case can lay flat in a future version, that would be AWESOME! I give it a 5 if you just hold it in your hand and view web, draw with one hand while holding with other hand, or lying in bed watching videos. I do like that the IPad goes to sleep when closing the lid and the magnetic flap securing strap. It is easy to just swing the lid close and the flap swings around and magnetically secures the lid closed. Since I am a heavy note taker, the unbalanced issue is a deal breaking. I just started using the IPad for taking notes and did not realize what was causing me to have pop up menus (since I had not used Note Taking Apps before) when I was taking notes. It was too late to return it to Best Buy due to the time lag between time of purchase and this discovery. I will give it to family/friend if they are in need of such a case for their particular use.

Very easy to insert the iPad into the holder. Looks nice and sleek, not too thick. Opens easy to set up for use and all the cutouts align perfectly. I love this holder very much, no complaints here.

Love the UAG Case for my iPad Pro 10.5 keeps it totally protected. Holds the pencil in place. Many folks like my case. Highly recommended

I wanted a rubberized case that had a holder for the Apple pen. This one fit the bill perfectly. The case and cutouts are exactly right for the 10.5 inch iPad Pro. It’s sturdy and the pen holder keeps the pen accessible and secure. The lid has a magnetic flap that flips over the pen to keep everything closed. As a bonus the case folds out to act as a stand that even works on my lap.

This cover Does Not accept the key pad or the ipen ...if it did, would rate it a 5 star. BTW...Apple salesperson said it would! Shame on them...

Saves battery life! That is it’s greatest quality.

I'm really enjoying this case. This is my first UAG case and I was so impressed with it I actually purchased the same case for my iPhone 7 Plus. If I have one complaint is that the grooves for the stand are not deep enough so the iPad just falls down from time to time. And for that I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

This case is just ok. It is a bit flimsy. Part of my dissatisfaction is just because as I continue using the tablet I realize how much I would like a case with a keyboard, so personal preference mostly. The case is nice that it holds the pencil and puts the tablet to sleep when closed.

There are very few cases available for the new 10.5", 3rd generation iPad. In fact I ordered it online because most BBY stores are not yet stocking many cases for the 3rd generation 10.5" iPad. I chose this case because it was the only one I could find that was described as being Apple Smart Keyboard compatible. I bought the Smart Keyboard because the salesman told me it was a protective case. Of course, once I got it home it was obvious that the Smart Keyboard is nothing more than a keyboard and it is definitely not a protective case. The case does accommodate the Smart Keyboard quite nicely and it is very convenient to use a keyboard instead of a touchscreen for a change. I am impressed with the sturdiness of the case and the potential ability to protect my iPad from a drop. The major flaws in the product are two-fold: 1) the "stand" portion of the case is also 1 of a 2-part closure of the case and after a few uses it refuses to close properly. I don't know if this closure is supposed to be magnetic or if the two projections in the stand are supposed to click into the two depressions on the case, but either way neither of them works. This leaves the case open at the bottom allowing the entire keyboard and iPad to fall out when gravity causes it to open up like an accordion. 2) The second part of the closure is the magnetic clasp at the top of the case (where the pen holder is). It is so delicate that if the bottom/stand closure does not hold, this too shall release due to the weight of the iPad and Keyboard dropping and pulling the clasp apart. I am very disappointed in this case as I thought it would be a solution to the protection I need for my new iPad. I am going to exchange it with the hope that the replacement case works as it should and that this particular case is defective. If the new one works as it should I will post an addendum to this review.

I like that it is able to sheild the screen but it’s too thin and I’m not full comfortable with the case. I do like it has the holder for the iPad pin.

Bowed my iPad pro Where it latches , A hard piece of plastic or rubber where the Pen attaches .. Totally Bowed one side of my ipad. I took the iPad with the Case back to Best Buy And they agreed that it was definitely the case that bowed one side of my iPad pro . This case is junk And they do not stand behind their product.

I was stuck buying this case pretty much by default as the 10.5 Ipad had just been released for purchase and it seemed none of the case companies were prepared... the ipad tips over easily and is constantly falling over, sometimes without even touching. The rubber protector that the actual Ipad snaps into doesn't lock around well, fits loosely, and by poor design leaves one side completely exposed and unprotected.

Spent 60$ on this high grade case for it not to fit properly on my iPad. I can’t charge it without first prying the bottom of the case to lift it up to reveal my port. Works fine if you don’t want to charge your iPad and have your bottom screen unprotected at all times.

This case for my iPad Pro is light weight, but affords good protection and provides a good stand for the device. The “lock” that secures the cover is somewhat self-closing and is very handy. I would recommend this product for its protection, ease of use, and its light weight. The iPad seems to be fragile without this protection.

While we buy a costly Tablet, we always look for a best outfit. The Urban Armor has the military standard rugged case gives the best protection for the iPad Pro. The case fits the iPad Pro best and smart cover automatically unlocks the iPad when the cover is opened. It also has the place for Pencil which is also locked with the cover lock. It also provide the option to keep the iPad pro in landscape watching mode. The outside design is engineered well provides the anti-slippery surface to avoid slipping while holding it in hand for longer time. Overall it is the best outfit for the iPad Pro.

It fits my 10in iPad pro like a glove, It has a convenient and needed Apple pencil holder, that stays in place with the magnetic cover latch. Its not bulky at all, very slim and offers great protection from accidental drops. Another great feature is the easy detach of the cover to add the Apple keyboard. You do not need to take off the protecting case at all.

I am picky when it comes to putting a case on my devices. I like something that is nice looking, but still provides decent protection. This case fits the bill perfectly. It is not as bulky as it appears in the photos, which I consider to be a very good thing. Both the back and front of the case are made out of the same TPU type material, which gives the case a premium feel while holding it. It is also one of the only cases I have seen that the lips cover/protect the chamfered edge around the front edge of the iPad. It fits perfectly to the very edge of the screen, so it still works (doesn’t interfere) with my tempered glass screen protector. The front cover easily snaps off for use with the Apple Smart Keyboard. The cutout on the side of the back cover is the perfect size for it, and doesn’t give any issues with connecting or propping up the case on the Smart Keyboard. If you’re looking for a rugged-style case that still looks professional and works with the Smart Keyboard, I definitely recommend this one.

I bought this to go with my new 10.5" iPad Pro, since there aren't many options available yet. At first I thought it might be a little bulky and clunky but after a couple days it turns out to be just the opposite, the iPad Pro is so thin that it can be a little hard to hold without a good case and this one gives it a nice grip, plus the material it's made of, so I feel confident carrying my iPad around. The Apple Pencil holder is great also and I like the way the closing tab goes over it for a little extra security. The only gripe I have is that it does not have a very good typing angle, and I type a lot on my iPad! The front cover part has a folding crease but I cannot figure out how to use it for any constructive purpose. You 'can' sort of cold it backwards under the back of the case to use in typing position but it's unstable and slips out. Unless I am missing something, this is a missing feature but not a deal breaker. This is a great case, not too expensive ( when compared to the Apple options) and has a nice, modern techie look. Get it!

After looking at exhaustive reviews on YouTube and on the BB website on this case, I'm glad I invested in UA's Metropolis Case for the iPad Pro 10.5!!! Not only does it work and fit well with the Smart Keyboard and have a place for my Apple Pencil, it provides the proper coverage and protection without adding weight to the tablet!! In spite of the $59 price tag the Metropolis is a worthy investment for your new piece of kit! Smart Keyboard owners will appreciate the flexibility this case allows for keyboard use, replacing the provided Metropolis cover with the Smart Keyboard. Fits perfectly over the screen, either choice of Smart Cover provides perfect coverage and protection. For times when you won't require your Smart Keyboard, the metropolis cover adds additional protection for the Apple Pencil with a magnetic strap that wraps around the clip that keeps the pencil in place. So far I haven't had any issues with the pencil falling out of its clip & remains in place when using the Smart Keyboard cover option. The UA Metropolis is pricey given the current limited availability of iPad Pro cases on the market, but nonetheless a highly recommended investment whether you own a Smart Keyboard case or not. Just swap the covers if you want to bring along the Smart Keyboard option and you're good to go! What I love most about this case is that even with the Smart Keyboard it doesn't feel heavy in my backpack! Peace of mind to protect the back and coverage for your screen without adding bulk! If you've been on the fence like I have about buying this case and you're looking for a case with additional protection front and back with an option to use your Apple Smart Keyboard cover & bring along your Apple Pencil, the Urban Armor Metropolis is a perfect fit!

The case protects the device, and is easy to secure the pencil too. The case has a simulated leather like feel that provides a good grip when carrying as well as not slipping off surfaces when riding in a vehicle.
