Great humidifier. Easy to clean & maintain which was what I really needed. I love that you can add a Vicks tablet for when you're sick.

Purchased this to combat the dryness when we use the heater in our apartment. It works well but it is a little smaller so frequent refills are necessary if you use it 24/7

Overall this is a good humidifier. There are some difference that I had to get used to in comparison to a different one that I own, but nothing that I would consider makes this a bad product.
Pros:
It's pretty compact for the amount of water it holds. The best feature and reason I bought it is the ability to use the Vics Pads. My other setup requires the humidifier and a separate Vics Pad heating element. There's a small hum, but overall it's pretty quiet. I'm usually one to complain on how many LED indicators are added to all devices, but in this case I'm glad the knob has one. I sometimes have to adjust how much vapor is coming out in the middle of the night and that LED light makes it very easy to do.
Cons:
The top is fixed, my other humidifier allows for directionality, which turns out does have its benefits. The release/intensity knob doesn't really have a 'low' mode. Even at it's minimum you can tell it's creating quite a bit of vapor. A whole lot more compared to the one I already owned. It's more like it goes from medium to high. The one thing I didn't appreciate much was that the plastic material is not very resistant to growth. The bottom reservoir plastic gets slimy from either algae, bacteria, or something after just a few days of resting water. This means it has to be cleaned a lot more often than my other one.
Again, overall I'm happy with the product, I just had to get used to cleaning it more often.

I'm comparing this "Smallish" Mini Vicks Humidifier to the Crane Personal Cool Mist Humidifier. This might be of use to anyone looking at the two and having trouble deciding.
First I'll start off by saying this Vicks Humidifier works very well and provides the user with a very wide range of water vapor output. This is very helpful! Second the vapor this unit produces is very atomized resulting in hardly any moisture deposits on bedding or other surfaces after a nights use. Keep in mind you shouldn't keep a humidifier pointed at your bed or furniture. Lastly you get to use Vicks Vapo Pads, this might seem like a gimmick but these pads make all the difference if you're sick and have a clogged up nose! I personally use a humidifier because I do get nose bleeds and also have dry skin. A vaporizer is a life saver for me.
Now onto the comparison. The Crane Humidifier I was using is a small 0.2 gallon unit that's similar in price to this Vicks unit. The Cranes advantages are a smaller foot print, quieter operation, a nightlight feature, and a nozzle with directional output. Plus auto shut off.
The cons with the Crane are the water vapor isn't atomized that well, the vapor doesn't shoot that far out of the vaporizer resulting in just about everything around the vaporizer getting a heavy dose of moisture, lastly the Crane will last for 7 hours on a tank, not the advertised 8 hours.
The Vicks Humidifier by comparison has a better quality of water vapor, the vapor shoots out much farther because it's being helped by a little fan, the vapor is also atomized much better! Even on full blast you only feel the cool sensation of water vapor while not feeling wet and damp. The half gallon water tank can last up to 20 hours depending on the setting you use. The Vicks unit has an adjustable output setting which I would consider to be much more worthy over an adjustable vapor nozzle output. The Vicks unit also shuts off automatically after it runs out of water.
Overall the build quality of both units seem good enough, but the Vicks just has too many advantages over the smaller Crane unit to make it even worth its similar price point. Just buy the Vicks Mini Humidifier and you'll be a happy camper. It's just a much better unit overall and provides the end user with a better quality of vapor and a much longer runtime.

Got this one for my daughter; I already had one for myself. She likes it too. It's easier to clean than most, but I found the instuctions to clean a bother, My daughter and I both decided, without even talking about it, to just take the time each time it needs refilling, to vigorously swish tap water around in top part, fill with tap water and put on base for about 10 minutes (the tap water contains chlorine), then swish vigorously, and empty both top and bottom; then refill with distilled water to run it. Works great, and VERY LITTLE MOLD forms (the way to clean it that was recommended, some mold would form in various nooks and crannies, and I wasn'tcomfortable with ANY mold spores being put into my air). A long little brush or bendable q-tip with some cleaning vinegar and a good rinse works if there is any mold, especially in the cylindrical part. But, honestly, since I've been cleaning it this way, I haven't noticed any mold. I really do love it though....it's quiet with a very soft gurgling sound that is good for white noise in a bedroom and works to humidify a large room as well as any I've used.

Wonderful! Biught this for my work office. Have a couple plants which do better with humidity and this nailed it. It is small, quiet and works great! Has a reservoir that keeps water in case you forget to turn it off. Will buy one for my home plants since I love this one so much.

I have breast cancer and my nose and skin really dry. This has been a life saver. I use it in my living room and bought a second one for my bedroom. It is pretty straight forward as far as use and care. There is no filter to worry about which I liked.

This humidifier works well. Easy to fill. A bit small, so can’t run it for more than just overnight. Does shut itself off when water level gets too low. Haven’t tried to clean it yet. Runs very quietly.

This replaced an older, similar humidifier that gave up the ghost. Works as expected, easy to clean and use, like the option to add a Vicks packet to the device, bring back memories of childhood with Mom holding my head over a bowl of hot water with Vicks in it. This is MUCH easier!

Got this small humidifier as an additional unit for another room. Pretty effective for 0.5 Gal size. Water lasts for whole night and the mist is powerful. Very easy to refill.
Didn't try with the Vicks Vapo pads yet, but assume that would be helpful for cold etc.

I didn’t know what to expect when I purchased this item. All I knew is that the Georgia weather is changing and my allergies and sleep don’t amount to the change.
The set up was quite simple; just a 3 step; open, insert Vick’s scent piece, close. Then just fill 3/4 up with water and insert water spout into upright position, then plug & play.
I slept for 13 hours, had the strangest dreams and work up in a sweat. When I read up on what caused that is because I wasn’t breathing in dry air that’s filled with toxins, I slept breathing in better condensed air for the first time in 18 months so I slept harder and longer.
I suggest if you don’t have a dehumidifier in your home, you need to get one; whether you want to have better breathing in your bedroom, your home office, or even your living/family room, I highly recommend this brand.

We have hot forced air. We were waking up congested. Quickly figured out humidity was very low with a low cost gauge. Our bedroom is 14x12 and this unit works very well for us. We haven't used the Vicks pack option yet. We are pleased with its quite operation.

Amazingly, I bought this Vicks humidifier for our newly adopted DOG. He came to us with a case of kennel cough and our vet suggested we put a humidifier in the room where he is sleeping to help him. I did some quick research and found this one at Best Buy. My local store had it in stock so I ordered online and picked it up an hour later. IT works just as advertised. Not fancy, well priced, well made.
The picture is of our dog, Colin, now benefitting from this humidifier.

The product fits all my requirements: Easy set up, functional, almost silent and affordable. Of all the available products in the market, this one is very competitive, mainly because it doesn't use heat.

Adequate for a small bedroom or office. If you are using for a living room you'll want something larger. I use for my office to protect my acoustic guitars when humidity drops below 40% on cold snap days here in Texas. This will be more effective if you set it at desk level rather than on the floor. That is based on my hygrometer readings so elevation/position of the unit makes a huge difference.
