It's a decent monitor

I use this monitor vertically and it works well, the base is good and rotates well. The built in speakers are okay if you only need to use them occasionally. I like that the camera has a privacy slide.

Microphone way too faint

Monitor itself is OK but microphone is unusable -- WAY too faint, whether i used the automatic sound adjustment or manual. Speakers are just "OK". I ended up using the microphone and speakers in my connected laptop (MacBook Air). Much much better. If you really need the built-in microphone, i would look elsewhere.
