Good TV over all, would be great but the "Tablet Remote" feature is more annoying than anything. The remote that comes with the TV has about 6 buttons total where you can do basic things to the TV. To get the full features like sleep timers, color and picture quality sliders, time settings, ect you have to use your smart phone/tablet app . The process to pair that app is annoying and failed the first 3 times i tried.
Other than the virtual remote / settings... The picture quality of the TV is excellent. Before this TV, i had a 1080p cheapo brand 32 inch and the picture quality on this TV is superior compared. The sound quality is fine. It's a small TV so don't expect much from the sound.
Also beware of the "120hz refresh rate" that is advertised. This TV is only 60hz on the hardware side. It can virtually get higher refresh rates , but it does so by manipulating the backlite to make it appear 120hz. If you put this on a computer and expect to get 120 fps on VSync, you'll be disappointed.

This TV is very nice. The picture quality is great. I do not have cable TV, and it picks up all of the local stations perfectly. It also has RCA audio out jacks, for hooking up to my vintage amplifier. Very few TVs have those now. I would prefer it came with a full function remote with full function menus on the TV, but I am getting use to it. The TV comes with a basic remote, Beyond basic use, other settings must be made from an app on a tablet/smartphone. The app is, however, very easy to use. I just got my first smartphone last month, and I got it to work without any problems. For 99% of what I use the TV for, the basic remote is fine. The more I use the app on my smartphone, the more I like it. The app basically turns your smartphone into a $300. touchscreen TV remote and a digital version of an old school video rental store.

I admit, I am kind of a Vizio Fanboy, but I love the quality I get with vizio! I have a 32 inch that I have had for over 6 years. I only recently bought another because my wife bought a 32inch TV for her computer monitor (another Vizio) and it is beautiful! Sure, you have to use your phone if you want to adjust anything on it, but it really is not that big of a problem... Especially since i lose the remote a lot more than i lose my phone! haha!
It has wonderful 1080p Picture, and the colors are vibrant as well. The sound is actually pretty good in comparison to other 32" TVs out there, as I work in electronics myself and have to demonstrate TVs.
I sell TVs, and have to try to talk up TVs, but there are no TVs I have sold or even seen around that are as good of a quality for the price.
Only thing I would have liked to see added, was the VGA port, but honestly not that big. I knew it didnt from the box and display when i bought it.

I'm well aware that this TV is intended to be controlled with a smartphone and I didn't have any problems getting it setup. However, the remote doesn't have number buttons on it, which makes channel selection very painful unless you like flipping through every channel one at a time. Call me old fashioned, and perhaps a not so well informed consumer since I didn't do enough research on this TV to see a picture of the remote before I bought it, but that's a big deal to me. Had I known that I probably wouldn't have gotten this TV. Having said that, its a great TV and is easy to use with the app. Just keep in mind that not all video apps, such as Amazon Prime Video, work with Google Chromecast.

First and foremost I've like to say that the clarity of the picture is amazing. But, it seemed to have too many "small" things that added up to me returning this TV and going with a Samsung.
While this TV does have amazing refresh rate, a few things it lacks are as follows:
MUST HAVE a smart phone or tablet to modify / adjust settings on the TV. While this didn't bother me too much, it was odd that one couldn't set the time, and date with the factory remote. Everything seems based on you downloading the Vizio app, and using that.
The width of the leg on the base of the TV are extremely far apart. I have a table that I build in wood shop when I was school that has been able to hold my littler TV's for years. But unfortunately, due to how far apart the legs are on the base. It's unable to fit. While Best Buy didn't have this TV on display, an associate did assist me in measuring a different type of Vizio. While that model was within my spec I was looking for. This one wasn't.
For those that have some sort of Cable, or Dish box: Good luck getting it to fit under the TV. I have Comcast / Xfinity and the box that I use (smaller, black HD box) wouldn't fit under the TV. Seemed like a really snug, tight fit. If the legs were at least a 1/2" taller, a box would be able to fit with ease.
Overall, if one were to wall mount this TV, I'd guess my issues I listed would be eliminated. But this was just for the bedroom. So I didn't want, nor plan on too go all out for this little TV.

I think Visio had college kids in mind with this TV. Download the Visio Smart Cast app, sign up for an account and you are off to the races. Great TV. You'll never lose the remote because your mobile phone works as the remote. I use it with Actiontec wireless to watch TV on my patio or on my treadmill desk. TV is lightweight and has a great picture at a great price.

This is the best 32" HD 1080p TV for the money. For $229.00 you get Full HD 1080p, Full-Array LED backlighting, (Samsung's UN32J5003AFXZA 32" is Not Full-Array LED) 120Hz Effective Refresh Rate (Samsung's UN32J5003AFXZA 32" is 60Hz Effective Refresh Rate) Built in Wi-Fi ECT. Standard Smart TV stuff, I've read a review that said they were not happy with this TV because they thought they HAD TO use their smart phone Only as the remote control, which is not accurate because it comes with a standard remote control and when you set-up the TV you have the option to bypass all the smart phone and streaming features ECT. and you can just use the standard remote If you just want to use the TV without the smart features. So don't think that you have to have a smart phone to use the TV, If You want to use the Built in Wi-Fi and streaming features like Hulu, Netflix ECT. then You will need a smart phone to do that. Great TV for Bedrooms/ Smaller rooms. Best value for the money. This is my families 2nd Vizio TV I've never had any problems with either and Love both.

I bought this tv in part because it had a high star rating. I only gave it 3 stars (really wanted to give 2.5 stars) because of a few issues:
1. NO HEADPHONE JACK, or any way to listen on headphones without some other device attached to the rca audio out jacks in the back. I like to listen to loud action movies on headphones so as not to disturb neighbors at night.
2. It only has 2 HDMI ports. Most others come with 3. I have to unplug 1 and switch cords since i have 3 devices i use with the tv.
3. Cheap plastic remote control that doesn't access all features. You MUST use cell phone and vizio app as the full remote.
4. Must choose 1 of their preset display settings. can not do manual setting of display .
This is the budget version/line of their tv's. i have 3 of their better models at work and they came with a full featured remote, and they also have a headphone jack. I do not recommend this model unless you don't care about the above mentioned.

Most of the negative reviews on this product are based on the fact that people didn't know what they were getting. This unit has no apps and the remote is super basic. But it is also a top notch display. Use the iPhone app and it is very easy to adjust the picture and other settings. Attach an Xbox or Apple TV or some such thing and you can stream anything you want. It has a really really good picture. Know what you're getting. But if it fits your requirements, it would be tough to find a better display.

I went to best buy to purchase a 32" vizio smart tv with 1080 P 120hz. when i got there they did not have the one i wanted. Instead they sold me this one. They did not tell me that I could not use any smart features unless i had a smart phone or tablet to cinque with it. I found out only after I purchased 3 tv's. I only have one smart phone . when i attempted to set this tv up it repeatedly said unable to set up. I was not even able to switch to regular cable. I'm very disappointed in vizios smartcast feature. Epic fail. And very disappointed in bestbuy for selling this product to me knowing what i wanted and not informing me about the differences in what I asked for and this tv. Fyi I followed the directions for set up and it didn't work .

First Time Vizio Purchaser - Disappointed

This is the first Vizio product I've purchased and disappointed. The display is sharp and clear, and the sound is good.
The ability to smartcast apps from your phone or tablet is nice, but there is no way to get the same content directly on the TV, ie. access Netflix directly on the TV. There is no web-browser included with this "smart" TV.
What was very disappointing in this day and age is the lack of EPG (Electronic Program Guide). This is simply inexcusable. Simple digital converter boxes for over-the-air broadcasts have the feature. Not everyone has cable and cable boxes.
Also, there is no way to go to a particular channel directly through either the remote or the downloadable app for a smartphone. You have to click through all of the channels available, or select a show from the smartphone app.
Overall, disappointed. Will be returning the TV and selecting another.

So unhappy with the basic remote and that you have to download an app to access the TV menu. Picture is poor quality (because I can't adjust brightness) and not full screen (because I can't access picture menu). So frustrating, not sure I'm keeping it.

I had a problem with my VIZIO TV and I took it back to good old Best Buy store 000459 (Geek Squad) and they stated they would have to charge me for this service; but being intelligent, I decided to call VIZIO because the TV was not a year old. Spoke to VIZIO Customer Service Department and within 5 days they dispatched a repairman to my home. It was a minor repair. VIZIO had it fixed in less than 30 minutes. NO CHARGE!
