I bvopught this to use as a gaming monitor. Im not good enough at videogames to appreaciate a frmaerate much higher than 60 FPS most of the time. This display served that need well until I finally upgraded to a 120Hz ultrawide Gaming display. This TV is still in good working order os of October 2024. It's job is to show me StarTek and it does a GREAT job. nice color, good blacks. I'm driving this with a Roku Ultra so I don't have any feedback on the smart TV parts. Integrated sound is what it is, always get a soundbar.

I’ve had this TV for about one month now and the picture and sound quality I must say it’s really nice the black is like midnight and the colors just pops I’m really happy with the TV the only thing is when I got it I didn’t know how to turn the tuner on the Great thing about it is you play around with it and you’ll figure it out because it’s not hard so I finally turn my tuner on. I just love the TV

I’ve owned this TV for 50 weeks. It was installed by Best Buy with in wall wiring and excellent cable management withojt a single issue since installed. Best Buy did a great job, Vizio, keep your fingers crossed you don’t have an issue. Mine’s never been moved since install, never an issue and always excellent picture. Unfortunately, it seems with the price cuts came the throw aways. Less than a yesr I contacted Vizio with all documentation including what it looks like now. The TV went from perfect to radically messed up while watching a mobje. My wkfe and i. I have two others in thr house and tried everything they suggested. Turned in my form and was told instantly they’ll send me an advance replacement with instructions on jow to send back the broken one. I set everything up and thr following day received an email denying service. Saying it was my failt. lol, i still have my XBR1 and 3 Sonys from 2003/2004. Never an issue. No issues with the other two Vizios but this 50 series is a joke, their support is even more of anjoke and their service is laughable, able to tell what happened from half a workd away. Time to step up to a real TV any way. Been eyeing up an LG for years and am finally going to pull the trigger. Almost a year and it’s in immaculate condition with zero scrapes bumps bruises or damage of anybsort. I could put it in a box and sell as new but apparently it’s internal damage even though its that arbitrarily happened ehile using jt.

Hello AlaskaJaxx, thank you for your feedback. VIZIO products are supported with a manufacturer’s warranty, however, when viewing the picture that was submitted with your review, we can see a diagonal line with some curvature at the top right corner. When this kind of line is present on a screen, it is an absolute indicator of external pressure being placed on the screen to cause it to form a crack. Unfortunately, damage such as this is not covered by the VIZIO warranty. VIZIO

Every year that goes by is another year where televisions have more and more in common with tablets, smart phones, and other computational devices. With that comes a newer set of features that we never had to give attention to when it comes to television sets. Issues such as online connectivity, screen freezes, UI, and App stores all play a significant role in deciding what smart TV to commit to, the two later ones come into play on this set. First off, the image quality on this set is great. Color reproduction and fidelity ring true. Sports, gaming, streaming, as well as through the antenna viewing quality are are all superb. Viewing angle distortion is a total non-issue on this TV and it comes with more than a decent amount of options for image tweaking. visual auto settings and enhancements such as Active Full Array, Motion Control, and Super Resolution put the 'smart' in smart TV. When it comes to visuals, this is a very capable set. Which brings me to a feature that I never knew were important until I used a smart TV with horrible one, UI, software, operating system. My old smart TV was plum dumb. It took a good 10-15 seconds to even connect to the internet. And i'm not taking a moderately fast count either. I'm taking full on, scientific, pro bull riding seconds. When it finally connected online the UI was sluggish and prone to freezing. Not great for any viewer, especially those wanting to quickly catch the last few moments of a sports game or news telecast. I'm very pleased to write that this set suffers from none of that. It's very quick to connect and the UI is very responsive to remote inputs. The only downside? There is no way to download any other Apps to the TV. While they do have the heavy hitters such as Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+, if you are a cord cutter you better be subscribed to YoutubeTV or FUBO otherwise you are out of luck. There are workarounds such as using a steaming device from the HDMI port or casting it from another device such as a phone or tablet. I, being a SlingTV user had to cast it from my smartphone to the TV in order to watch live TV. Its a bit disappointing and not too future proof to not have the ability to download Apps. And while the UI is zippy, it does bombard you with just a massive amount of ads and shows from apps you may not be wanting to use. I would say around 4/5ths of the home screen is ads. With a small row of app icons that you can customize the order of. So in the end while this model does offer superior image quality, the take it or leave it UI may turn off some that aren't willing to deal with additional streaming devices or casting workarounds.

Purchased this tv on the basis of a previous Vizio bought back in 2004 which is still working great. Found a great open box deal, hopefully it wasn’t a demo, and it lasts like our first one. The picture is very nice but not quite as good as our 3 other LG smart UHD sets, even with the highly touted local dimming and 120 motion smoothing. The remote is simple to use and understand but lacks illumination. No composite input is disappointing since i have an older dvd recorder still. The sound is strong and clear, that is a big plus for me too. Overall satisfied, but i got the extended warranty just in case.

I’ve had so far experienced the Vizio brand a few times; I had one previously but exchanged for a different brand. But regarding this model here, it’s sharp with the 4k resolution and is HDR and Dolby vision compatible ; HDR gaming on the PS5 and Dolby vision on the Apple TV. As I was first getting into noticing high definition televisions and such terminology such as frame rate and motion technologies and what have you, I still have much to learn and process. I happened to think that all or most TVs have that soap opera effect when watching movies or series that has a 24-30 default movie type frame rate. But I guess I was wrong as I’ve discovered the website of RTINGS.com that gives just about every ratings from video professionals and has a rating score. But I won’t go into detail in that in regards of this model. This tv doesn’t have that soap opera effect I may still need to do some to tinkering to do but I confirmed later after researching this M series, there’s definitely isn’t that option (or in technical terms there’s no motion interpolation and I’ll miss that feature. The “clear action 360” as found on the specs on the Best Buy page, well it doesn’t specify in detail of what it is but some may assume that it’s going to be having that soap opera effect anyway. When I turn on clear action, in my eyes and interpretation the picture just dims; that’s it - but I’m tinkering with it on Dolby vision with my Apple TV watching movies. Then forums, however says it should be turned off (clear action is pure cinema effect like if you’re in the theater, which I then realized when turning off the lights, and that’s cool), and that you’d have to “reduce judder”, that is if I can find a menu option (still exploring in the menus). Video gaming wise - it doesn’t matter as some games runs 60fps anyhow and I don’t think the soap opera effect benefits when your gaming sometimes (playing COD and there’s stutter or glitching/ghosting of the crosshairs). Asides from all that; build and quality is premium especially the stand. All the ports are on the sides and the power cable is on the back but the plug port is vertical that horizontal - and requires patience as it was HARD to plug in flush. But this would be an ideal wall mount tv no problem! And possibly almost flush against the wall .. or just half and inch clearance. The ports are on the right side so if you have like a cable box to the left, either longer cable or you’ll have to do some rearranging. Overall good tv - Im going to continue tinkering with the settings more.

I bought a Vizio 42" TV in 2008. It ran perfectly for 13 years. Then, one day, it started shutting off randomly. I decided it was time to upgrade. I figured if Vizio was still making quality units like my last one, I'd give them another shot. I also looked at Samsung, but for the same features, the Vizio was a bit cheaper. I've had it for over a year now, and I couldn't be happier. We have a small living room, so 50" is plenty big. The sound quality is great, although eventually I'll get a soundbar. Picture quality is awesome, and it renders 4K beautifully. All the smart features are nice as well. Hopefully it'll last me another 13 years.
