I was shopping around for a 65" 4K for about 2 months, ended up getting this one for $745 after tax on black Friday. I previously bought a 65" LG 4K for $799 shipped from NJ, but it arrived damaged, so I broke down and got the Vizio. So far the TV's great. I've never been let down with Vizio and this is no different. I love that it has a Chromecast(called "SmartCast") built in so I have another HDMI free. However I have noticed that occasionally when the cast video changes, occasionally it doesn't display the picture. It has sound but just a black screen, so I have to reset it. Little bug. And turning it on takes a pretty significant lag before the picture comes up. But other than these lil quirks, it's a good TV and it's well worth the price. Looking forward to another half dozen or more years of great use.

We love this TV. Not as good of a picture of as the Samsung but we paid at least 1/2 the price and I think the only way you can really tell is if you have them sitting next to each other. The set up instructions for the SmartCast and the Chromecast were very lacking and useless if you don't download the app and use your smart phone, but we made it work.

Easy to set up and very light which is good because I have it on a wall mount. Great for streaming YouTube tv shows and movies and Netflix and Pandora radio. I don't even need to buy cable again!

Great tv if you have cable. no tuner for some reason so extra parts are needed for over air tv. The cast function is a waste I use an iPhone 5s and I have not been able to use it for nothing but adjusting tv settings. My iPad Air does not work with it at all. This is basically a monitor. Not a tv that most are use to. For $699. It is a decent deal for a 65" 4K hd tv only other issues is I can't figure out its on 4K or not.

VIZIO SmartCast Displays use a "second screen" style of interaction. To cast content make sure that the phone or tablet is connected to the same wi-fi network, open up a cast-capable application such as Netflix, Vudu, Hulu, or YouTube and tap on the cast icon. Once you tap on the cast icon it will display a list of devices that can have the content sent to. To tell if programming is showing in 4K simply use the SmartCast App and go to the display settings. Once in the display settings go to the system information and look at the resolution. The display will show the resolution of the signal being received by the service or device. It will automatically upscale HD and FHD content to 4K but still only show the resolution being received. If any further assistance or information is needed our award-winning U.S.-based customer support team can be reached at 877-878-4946 Monday thru Friday from 7am to 11pm and Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 6pm CST. First off I took home three different brands this being one of them. The other two were Sony and LG. After calibrating the TVs then watching a few movies and playing a few games. This tv to me had the best blacks and least amount of motion blur. Not knocking the others because I kept the LG for our game room. My only gripe is I should have ordered the bigger 75” for our viewing pleasure but that’s my fault. Overall pretty solid tv I’d recommend it to my friends.

Not super 4k tv but for regular 4k content like streaming from netflix of xbox one, it works great. If you are watching regular cable channels you wont get to see the full resolution of it but when 4K content its played, you wont be dissapointed, plus chromecast ready

Best bang for buck 4K HDTV with 2160 resolution

I purchased this TV as an upgrade for our living rooms aging Samsung plasma and I'm glad I did! First, you are not going to find a 4k HDTV at 65 inches for this price so I took a chance and picked it up. Set up works flawlessly and I have paired with a Yamaha 4k receiver as my driver (directv and Xbox one plugged in to the receiver outbound goes to the Vizio). Once I got the directv configured to max resolution (only 1080 on my directv box), I started playing with the Xbox and blue rays - all I can say is the screen really pops and the enhanced definition shows me what I've been missing. I have not dived into the apps and steaming options yet but overall I am very pleased with this TV. The only negative I could see for some is the remote is pretty spartan, and the instruction manual seems to focus only on the Visio apps and pairing with your other WiFi enabled devices like your phone or tablet. If you have basic knowledge of hdtv's and have a 4k receiver that can really make your audio pop, this set will definitely put a smile on your face. If you are more app and streaming focused, then you might want to look at other options. Either way, for 700 bucks you will be hard pressed to do better.

Hello Jesse, Thank you for the feedback. A few things that might help you get the kind of picture quality you are looking for. First, make sure the Display is getting a hi-definition or 4K signal. This means making sure that you're source device (like a cable/satellite box) is capable of HD or 4K, and that it's connected to your Display with an HDMI cable that can deliver the HD or 4K picture. You can also change between pre-set picture modes on the display by pressing the PIC button on your remote. This will toggle between a few picture setting that look good in different situations. If your display is in a bright room try Vivid or Calibrated. If it’s in a dimmer room try Calibrated Dark. VIZIO

I think this is a great television at a great price. I’m not a very technical person, so I’m just gonna stick with what my son and I think. I think the colors are fantastic for my shows and movies. As for my son,he has not stopped playing his video games in the living room since we got it. It’s amazing looking at the difference from our last television. It truly make a difference in what he can see and the quality of the picture. Very happy with our purchase! I’m not so excited with the app remote. I prefer to have a remote that can do whatever my needs are. I still would choose this TV over the others. Why pay more for a great product that outlasts it’s more expensive competitors.

Looked at all the 4K televisions at our local store. When they are side by side there is a difference in all the picture qualities. I had to weigh the price difference compared to quality, I rolled the dice on the less costly, and I cannot complain on bit. Once I got it home the picture quality is leaps and bounds above the previous 1080p set we had hanging on the wall. Not sure I would notice the difference in the picture quality of the higher end televisions if I had chose one of them. Amazing television at an amazing price!

After countless research done over a week. It was between a samsung and a Vizio. Many sites favored the Vizion E series due to it's amazing picture and lower price range. Finally i have decided to buy this TV. And i have not regret this decision. The Operating system boots pretty fast upon power up. For the price no other TVs offer the qualities of the Vizio, I totally recommend this brand!

I like the TV overall, and I understand that pricing this low is partially because the TV does not have an internal tuner, but I definitely would like to have the tuner as part of the TV. I'm getting local channels using an external digital tuner. I also wish they would come out with a full function remote for this TV. Using a phone or tablet sounds cool, but is a bit of a hassle as it sometimes disconnects and you have to go through the setup process again. Having said all that, the price is hard to beat for a screen this size, and the picture quality is very good. For someone with digital cable or who like to watch bluray movies, this would be a good deal.

Uhm, I did not want to buy this TV. I wanted to buy a Sony but it was sold out when I visited the store. I didn't want to leave the store without a tv. This TV barely beat out the Samsung that was the same price and size because it has Chromecast built in which is awesome if you have reliable internet in your home. Except for pictures. Going to have to use the tv app which I refused to download on my phone for their is no need yet. Pros: Chromecast makes it easier to stream what is playing on my devices to the tv. 4k is pretty good on this TV but it's not necessary yet. There is not enough programming for 4k even though many apps and websites claim the opposite. The actual content that is in 4k is hit and miss and only would be viewed because of the 4k status. Not too different from HD but it is a good noticeable difference. There is actually TV's priced higher than this and provide the same or less features. It's a good bargain for the tech it has. It was a good price for what I ended up with. I wouldn't pay more than $700 dollars for this tv honestloy. Actually maybe 725, that is what this TV is worth. I did enjoy Godless on this television. Probably wouldn't have been so good on an older TV. It also does not have an awful amount of apps preloaded into the television. This might be a con to some buyers, but I would like all the computing power to be going to making sure what I stream never gets interrupted and quality is what I paid for it. Cons: The TV does not handle fast moving scenes while in Chromecast well at all. Every time there is a scene that needs a bit more speed the connection weakens and the picture ends up pixelated. Going to have to disconnect and reconnect to bring back to normal. The TV is nowhere near as good as OLED or some of Sony's but I didn't have that type of money. There will be backlight bleeding on a lot of movies and shows if the horizontal bars are showing. Does not get those deep blacks and it is very noticeable comparing to those previous models I stated. Conclusion: I would only recommend this to a friend if this was priced lower than $700. Why are TV's so expensive anyway. I am honestly probably never going to buy another TV until I can afford the new LG paper thin tv's. Then life must be good.
