big buttons, good sound boost, answering machine pretty easy. Could use more speed dial options

Bought this unit for our mother who did not want the monthly fees associated with other products in the event of fall. Works better than we had expected. V-Tech understated and over delivered, that's value. Loud and clear from over 50 yards away from base unit and in a metal building. No static, just loud and clear reception. Large buttons, easy to use. Hands down a must have for those with aging parents.

I would highly recommend this phone for someone who was hearing impaired or needed a phone with them all the time. My elderly mother loves it! She had this model for the last three years without a problem until the base went out after an electrical storm. However, in the process of replacing that unit, we went through three before we finally had a phone that all the components worked. VTECH tech support was very helpful and cheerfully replaced the component that was not working (pendant) with one guaranteed to work. It was a big hassle but mom is happy. I am recommending with reservation.

Had to replace previous phone because handset died and replacement was more than phone originally cost. Has spent months looking for that phone as it is for my mother and she has sight issues and needs simplicity. This was closest I could find. It serves the purpose but not as well as previous uniden. The buttons for features are all symbols and often the elderly are not up on what they all mean. The key pad buttons are large and readable but do not light up so at night she has issues. All that being said if she had not had other phone she would be happy with this one. It does have key required fearures

Bought this as a gift for 93 year old mother-in-law who does not like change. It was easy setup, we installed photos for speed dial, taught her how to use it including the speakerphone. She practiced a couple of times and she feels very confident using it. She is even willing to use the included pendant which works in her basement laundry area. Couldn't have designed it better myself.

Phone's voice quality seems pretty good. The reason I rated it 3 stars was there's a small portable mini phone that won't charge.

Good phone for my elderly mother but I wish there were more programmable buttons for speed dialing. She cannot use the built in phone-book as it's too confusing for her. If there were more than 4 speed dial buttons this phone would be perfect.

This is a great alternative to Lifeline or similar services that have a monthly fee. We bought this for my mother a month ago. A few days ago she fell and couldn't get up. She can't see numbers on a phone but was able to call us on the pendant and we ran nextdoor to help her.

I tried the product twice; had to return it both times. None of the extensions would register with the base even when right next to each other, Outgoing calls worked. Some incoming cell calls never came to the phone. The base ringer would not work. Programming the photo number links was easy and was the primary reason for the phone choice.

This phone frees you up to be mobile and moving while staying connected to friends or family members.

We seem to always try other brands of phones and they do not last at all, or the sound quality is awful. This phone system is the Ultimate of phones!! I love having a corded phone next to my bed. I love that you can add more handsets. The sound quality is fantastic.crystal clear. The safety call button is just superb!! It recognizes voice commands or is programmable with 2 buttons to use. I have one set to call 911 and the other to call my husband. As someone who has a small farm and one who does not always land on her feet, this is an exciting option for me. I have always been able to count on V-tech. They have disappointed me yet!!

For the first set the mfr packaging had been opened and the handheld pendant would not charge. Returned, exchanged...second attempt... the mfr packaging had been opened and the handheld pendant would not charge... deja vu, returned/exchanged, hoping the third time is the charm...disappointed...If we can get one that all of the components are operational this should be the ideal solution for my elderly mother...If not we'll have to find another alternative. If we do get this to work I will revise my review.

I ordered this for my mother. Thought the pendent part would be great for when she gardens outside. That part didn't work. It wouldn't accept a charge or even power up. It arrived at her home last week so I went over last weekend to hook it up only to find out it didn't work. Took it back this weekend and it had been more than 14 days since I purchased it so Best Buy didn't offer an exchange. Bad product and bad customer service.
