This may be my favorite Level pack thus far. You get a Marty McFly minifig, a buildable Delorean AND a hoverboard. In-game, this pack unlocks a playable Level as well as the Back to the Future World. The Back to the Future world is not as expansive as some of the others BUT you are able to go back to the Old West and into the future (well, I guess technically now the present as it is 2015) to explore Hill Valley in the 3 different time periods - just like in the movies.

Who wouldn't want to fly the DeLorean through Middle-Earth or the Land of Oz?! As a big fan of the LEGO games and of Back to the Future there was no question that I had to have this with LEGO Dimensions. With this pack you have instant access to put Marty McFly into the main game and rock out with his electric guitar or you could immediately go to the add-on level that comes with this pack and play LEGO Back to the Future. Actually the only way to build the hover board and DeLorean is to play the included level first, then the vehicles can also be used in the main game.
The inclusion of these toys in the main story makes playing the game easier. I use the flying feature of the DeLorean all the time and it speeds up the process of destroying things to collect studs by a lot. The DeLorean can also destroy metal objects once it is nearly fully upgraded, so if there are some metal objects in the main game that are bugging you, here's your way to get past them. Of course its very strange that the time machine has weapons, but hey its LEGO! The hover board I don't use so much but I hear from others online its their way to go. Marty's ability with his guitar is to shatter glass so if you're looking for a character to do that for you in the main game, he can do it.
As for the actual Back to the Future level, its a lot of fun but really short. I haven't played any of the other packs to compare the length of the content but the quality is there. The level took me maybe 20 minutes to complete. I was hoping that maybe the other movies would show up later but that didn't happen. For this reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.
Along with having Marty McFly you get access to the Back to the Future Hub world where you can go to Hill Valley and complete missions, collect items, and view the sights. It's a pretty cool feature to just walk, drive, hover, or fly around the iconic city plus you can go back in time to 1885 or go to the future to 2015 and see how much everything really changed.
Overall I believe it to be a worthy pack but the $30 price is also pretty steep for a short level. The quality of the whole package is pretty great. You just have to decide whether or not this package is worth it to you.

Lego and Back to the Future seem to mix well together. In 2013, a fan managed to get the company to make a deal with Universal Studios, and bring the Delorean Time Machine to brick form. Needless to say, it was a major sellout, and worthwhile to get (though I do wish I'd have gotten it now looking back). As a nice homage to the franchise's 30th anniversary, a Delorean was snuck in to Lego Jurassic World. Now, Lego Dimensions is bringing Hill Valley to the vast expanse of the worlds in the game, and I got to tell you that I am more than happy they brought it in.
The pack comes with Marty McFly and his guitar, and, as an added bonus, Michael J. Fox has returned for the first time in years to voice his character yet again. That alone just made me excited to get Marty. Also, what would the franchise be without the Delorean? Good news though; Lego included it, 2015 hover conversion and all. Plus, Marty's Hoverboard was brought into the fray, and it gives any BTTF fans a chance to recreate the famous scene from Part II, where Marty is being chased by Griff and his gang.
The story in this level deals with the plot of the first film, with some differences. I'll do my best to list them here, but beware, for some spoilers for the level and the film lurk!
1. A television report on the Libyans stealing the plutonium contains two announcers, not one.
2. Marty has to build the giant speaker before he plays on it.
3. The entire scene involving his school life and the dysfunction in his family is left out of the game due to time constraints, as is Jennifer Parker, Mr. Strickland, and the entire McFly family.
4. Marty already has the hoverboard in his possession, and uses it to meet up with Doc Brown.
5. The Twin Pines Mall has some store logos changed to avoid copyright.
6. Doc doesn't demonstrate the car and its capabilities with Einstein.
7. The Libyans hit Doc in the stomach with a baseball, injuring him, whereas in the original film, Doc is killed with several gunshots to the chest.
8. In the game, Marty purposely travels through time to warn Doc about what happens to him, unlike the film, where Marty uses the car to get away from the terrorists, travels through time without knowing it, and only warns Doc upon encountering his younger self.
9. When Marty arrives in Mr. Peabody's barn, he uses the car to get out, and the Peabody's don't come to check on the barn after they hear a crash, only to mistake it for a spaceship.
10. The entire plot where Marty interferes with his parents first meeting, causes his own mother to fall in love with him without knowing that's her son, and endangering his own existence, is left out due to the game's rating and time constraints.
11. Marty immediately goes to Doc's house and uses the video camera to prove he's from the future, rather than proving it by telling Doc how he got the injury on his head.
12. After showing Doc the footage, Marty immediately tries to warn Doc about his fate, but Doc tells him not to, leading Marty to post a baseball glove on a shopping list as a hidden warning. In the original film, Marty tries repeatedly to no avail, and writes him a letter to open in 1985 that Doc initially destroys, but repairs out of curiosity, saving his life.
13. Doc still uses the clock tower to recharge the car, but he instead powers the Delorean pad to get Marty home.
14. The final line changes Doc's famous, "Well I figured" line to meet the rating.
Spoilers end here.
In the Hill Valley world, players can travel from 1885, 1985, and 2015 (I don't know if 1955 was left out or if I need Doc to get to it) and help out many famous faces, including Micheal J. Fox's other roles of Seamus, Marty Jr, and Marlene, as well as the Doc's stranded throughout time. Be warned though, there are plenty of Tannens on the loose, so it's best not to lose your temper if one of them calls you chicken.
With the few final words, I am most pleased that Back to the Future was included for the 30th Anniversary of this legendary franchise, and I wish everyone a good future. Remember, your future is whatever you make it, so make it a good one.

This level pack is a lot of fun and brings even more fun to the Lego dimensions game. A little pricey but it opens up a really neat back to the future world and you can use the car to travel to different places on the main game.

If you're a Back to the Future fan and Lego Dimensions fan, then this one is a no brainer. In this pack, you get the Marty McFly mini figure, plus all of the appropriate parts to build the hoverboard and the Delorean Time Machine. Additionally, you will also gain access to the Back to the Future story level and the open world section of Hill Valley (with 3 different time periods to play in!) All in all, a great value, especially with the 20% off GCU discount!

Real fun level that takes you back to the movie instantly. The Delorean is a cool car to have too since it can time travel and all. Comes in handy. Pro tip, when you get to the part at the clock tower, if you have someone that can fly, fly to the far left of the screen. It takes you to the Enchantment Under the Sea dance, secret part of the level.

These add-on Level Packs for the new LEGO Dimensions game are a little pricey but if you have a Gamers Club membership it helps out a lot. The mini builds are fun (great detail on the DeLorean!) and Marty McFly minifigure is the same one you can get elsewhere. The best part of this set is the additional levels you get in game play.

Besides the pack opening another level in Lego Dimensions, the upgraded hoverboard is great to use anywhere in the game. It's smooth, has great handling and does a great job blowing objects up and collecting the studs with the magnet. I've successfully finished races on land, sea and air with it as well.

What's not to love! at 50% off Legos seem better priced. although I have to admit I looked up the build instructions online, So far its a fun level- FYI there are individual worlds available so if you just get fun packs those characters will have stuff to do!

Come on, who doesn't like legos.. great for your collection and to expand your gaming experience. The Legos are well constructed and the box presentation in where they came you feel that u don't want to open the box ever. The only complaint is that this box set cost 29.99 and I personally think that they are too over price. I'm thinking to wait for a price drop, before buying a another Lego set

The Back to the Future Level Pack is an essential piece to your Lego Dimensions collection, as it unlocks the Back to the Future Story Level, allowing you to collect 4 of the Gold Bricks required to complete the game 100%. While Marty McFly is considerably the worst character in the game, only having one ability which is also accessible through the contents of the Starter Pack, he is one of only 2 characters to have a vehicle that can travel in time, in Marty's case, the DeLorian Time Machine, which can be used to discover several secret areas found in other Story Levels and Adventure Worlds. Having this character on your Toy Pad grants you access to the Back to the Future Adventure World, full of collectibles and areas to explore!

The level packs for Lego Dimensions give you a huge additional world, plus the actual level play. You can spend hours just doing the level specific quests, so these are a great addition to the game. And they're pretty easy to build.

I don't own dimensions game console. I bought this pack for the minifigures. They are not attached to the round gaming blue disc. They are just like your normal Lego minifigures. Currently only way to get Marty minifig. Back to the Future Delorian set is retired and cost $100 now so this pack is a nice way to get at least the minifig. Hoverboard is exclusive to this set, which is a plus. Only down side is it doesn't come with instruction for the build, however it can be found on YouTube.

A great addition to the Lego dimensions game, especially for the BTTF fans. It adds a new level for the characters to play and then explre afterwards, so expands the character selections and the gameplay itself.
