Needed an external portable disk drive for my MacBook Pro. This was on sale at a great price and has worked perfectly. I've been a fan of Western Digital for many years. This is the best WD purchase ever. (Stay away from Seagate. Lost all data on 1.5TB and 1.0TB drives when they failed within warranty.. Called support and despite the known problem, they refused to honor warranty.)

I'm impressed. This was so easy to set up and use. I like that you can enable it to automatically update your whole hard drive or just certain locations. I keep it hooked up all of the time and it stores our photos and documents for us. (We're not worried about the other things.) It holds A LOT so we could have stored our entire hard drive on it with plenty of room to spare.

Bought one initially for a replacement external and bought another for my Xbox One. It has good transfer speeds, silent and looks good with the set up that I currently have. Plus not having to use an external power connector is a plus in my case. The bonus flash drive is really good as well. Already used it for a few projects that I didn't think I'd need one for.

I use this hard drive for storing my game play recordings. I've had some issues with some recordings having some frame skips or glitching out on some past external USB 3.0 hard drives. But this one seems the have this happening the least. Plus the price, especially when on sale, is a really great deal for so much storage space and the bonus 32 GB flash drive.

Great product that i use with my laptop, large storage amount, is fast with the 3.0 USB interface. This holds a lot of data,,, I have over 200 movies, 1000 photos, and 5000 documents, still only using 30% of the capacity. I use the flash drive to hold files i need more often and don't feel like pulling out the external. Both are great.

It feels very sturdy and with proper care it should last you a good long while. It comes packed with a usb 3.0 cable and the 32 gb flash drive is a nice bonus. I used mine to as an external drive for my Xbox One. Was easy to format to the Xbox One. I now have 4tb of extra space on my Xbox One. It runs quiet and loads games fairly quick for an external drive.

Picked this bad boy up for $79, total no-brainer if you're in need of vast quantities of portable storage. WD is solid and lasts forever, had another one chugging on an Xbox 1 for a couple years now, Using on my PS4, no issues thus far and quadruples the storage instantly. The bonus thumb drive was just that, and I'd get another one if I were in the market!

The WD Easystore 4TB external drive I purchased was an easy hook up to an Xbox One S video game system as an external storage for games. It works just fine for that purpose for my use. Price was good and every WD drive I have bought in the past ( 3 of them over the last 4 years ) has worked flawlessly. If you need an external drive, WD is the one to buy.

Purchased this because I needed more space to save photos and videos of the kids. I have a smaller memory drive, but it wasn't large enough for my kids graduation video, so I purchased this one. I knew I would be happy with it as my smaller drive is also a WD. Super easy to use and bonus the extra flash drive. Great value.

I’m using this as external storage for picture and video files rather than a backup system for my computer so I did not install any of the software it recommends for that. It is very easy to use for my purposes - plug and play. I use it in the USB 3.0 port and the files write to this hard drive super fast. Could not be more pleased really.

I’m currently taking photos with a DSLR storing both JPEG and RAW takes a ton of room. Concerned about keeping this much data on my laptop I looked at cloud storage. That would be costly. So a external hard drive is the ticket. Simple plug and play. Easy to use and you can store it in a fire safe when not in use. Good buy!
