Customers are saying

Customers highly value the ease of installation and remote control capabilities of the 3-Way Light Switch (2-Pack). They appreciate the convenience of controlling their lights from anywhere using the app or voice commands with Alexa. While some customers mentioned the requirement of a neutral wire and occasional connectivity issues, many found the switches to be reliable and worth the investment for a smart home setup.

Easy to install if you have a basic understanding of electrical and are willing to try. I had them installed within an out and setting up scenes in the Home app. I am all about the smart home and my kids always leave lights on. So now I can turn them off anytime from anywhere. Also customer service is great, one was bad out of the box and they sent it a replacement right away

I am tech savy and pretty handy around the house. Installation was quite easy. Setting up the product was an entirely different story. It was an absolute pain. I have up to date phones, an iphone 11 and android. I could not get them to set up. After wasting a couple hours resetting switches, routers, phones and retrying and retrying, I called their tech support. After an hour talking to them, we could not fix the issue and my case was escalated to another tech support team who would return my call in 24-48 hours. The next day, I thought I'd give the setup another try. When a got to the switches. They were both online...Magic! They were working. They have stayed online, no issues there. I incorporated them into a home automation theme and only a couple times they have not turned on automatically. So, they are cheaper than most but I will not be buying any more. I have had very good luck with the Lutron brand and I will go that route in the future. Oh, and their tech support did call back with 48 hours. Hope this helps!

I was happy when Wemo came out with these 3 way switches. If you have a light that is controlled by 2 switches then this is the product you are looking for. When my family gets set to watch TV no one has to get up and turn out the lights for the movie to start. I open the app and turn the lights off just like in the theaters. Now hoping there is a 3 way dimmer in the works.

    Straightforward install -- but challenging

These were part of my first foray into home automation. Installed 5 3-ways and 3 singles plus two outlets. The network and app install was breeze once I called WEMO and learned one trick (disable cellular data when installing.) The devices were recognized by Home App on my iPhone and we're off and running. The actual install is straightforward and well explained in the manual BUT these switches have a fairly large body and use pigtails versus the slotted type that are common for standard switches. That means you end up with a lot of wire volume to stuff back into the box. All my installs were multi-gang boxes which was even more challenging. I had one single that wouldn't "take" to the siring as installed. I gather there are some circumstances (like power through fixture) that are known not to be supported. Not the end of the world. For what it is worth, I upgraded my network to an eero mesh setup a day or two after finishing the install. That made a huge difference in the stability of the WEMO device connections. Each one of these is a wifi endpoint so if you have a marginal network to start with, you're likely to have stability issues where devices will go unrecognized periodically.

Install and setup went fairly smoothly and they work perfectly! App shows on/off whether turned on from app, Wemo switch, or standard 3 way switch. Have mine installed on circuit with 2 3-way switches and 2 4-Way. Must replace one of 3 ways. Electricians took some shortcuts when wiring my house, so make sure you know what you’re doing, or have an electrician install if unsure.

I got these switches for my 3-way lights in my house. You can control these using the wall switch and also on the Wemo app on your phone. If you link the account to your Nest or Google accounts, you can use them with your smart speakers. You can also have the light switches automatically switch on or randomize the lights if you are away from your house.

I picked this smart switch because they sold a 3 - way switch. Once set up it is great and works with the alexa and home. I installed 5 switches. Some of them were easy to link up and a few of them I had trouble. Kept losing connection. I was able to reset and link them but took several tries.

I use this for my front lights. It was easy to install and integrated with my SMART home. Alexa can control it and use motion alerts from Arlo to activate it. I also like that it doesn’t require a separate WiFi to control it like some of the other switches. I do wish they made them in common household colors like Almond, etc.

Got these on Bestbuys deal of the day sale. Almost all my light switches are converted to Wemo switches. These 3 way switches were all I needed to complete all my light switches to work with Alexa and Google. They are easy to install and I only needed to use one Wemo switch for each room with two 3 way switches.

These smart light switches are pretty sweet! They turn my lights into a great lighting situation that is controlled by my iPhone and/or SIRI using HomeKit. if it disconnects a simple 3 second hold on the button under the switch resets it.

These switches provide a great convenience by adding voice control. They work particularly well for flood lights, as I can simply tell Alexa to turn the floodlights on. The installation is very straightforward and can be done in less than 15 minutes.

I’m in the process of automating my house. The switch worked well, but it is a little bulky and required me to move around some things to fit in the box but after it’s all said and done I love the convenience of them, 2 down 34 to go!

These weren’t my first Wemo switches but they were my first 3-way switch installs. I purchased two 2-packs knowing I wanted to install them on four 3-way switches we have. Only one smart 3-way switch is needed per 3-way circuit. The other side of each circuit keeps the existing dumb switch installed and functioning. The app (as well as whichever smart home integration you’re using) knows if either the smart switch or the dumb switch has the circuit open or closed. The only problems you may run into with the install will mostly depend on how your house’s switches were initially wired. If you don’t have a common wire I don’t think these or most smart switches will work. Also you may run into some interesting wiring choices used by your contractor or the last electrician if your system has been updated at some point. Do some research if you’re not sure what you’re looking at once you pull your old switch out of the wall.
