After my top load Samsung washer quit working after just 2 years, not covered by warranty. (don't let their 10 year warranty fool you) I wasn't buying another Samsung and I wanted to try a front load washer this time. I wasn't prepared to buy a new washer and dryer so soon so I couldn't afford the best of the best. I waited to review this after I've been using it for a while...I feel like it is the best of the best!! So far I haven't found anything I don't like, other than the buttons can be a little sensitive, I accidentally touched the front of the washer and the washer powered off. Not a huge deal. I ended up having to purchase the matching dryer from a different store since it was on back order at BB and I couldn't wait. I love it as much as the washer. I have washed and dried our king size bedding a few times with no problem. Love load & go, FanFresh and the drum light features. The wash and dry feature doesn't work great but that's not why I bought it. I think it's very quiet and everything comes out great. So so so much better than the top loader.

This is an excellent washer worth every penny! Its energy efficient, beautiful, and easy to use. It offers 12 settings, has steam clean and ecoboost which is amazing. The FanFresh setting is a life saver, basically if you start the washer and leave for an extended amount of time FanFresh will spin the clothes to ensure your clothes stays fresh and doesn't get that mildew smell from clothes sitting in the washer all day. It works well for those that want to get a load of clothes washed while out at the office. the steam clean setting is amazing it really sanitizes soiled items and keeps wrinkles down. I am so glad I purchased this instead of a Samsung, this will last a long time. best purchases.

Anyone else have a problem with mold in the slide out tray? I've owned for four months and have cleaned this thing over 4 times! Never had this problem before. Other than the mold issue it's been ok. You would think with the fan fresh feature they would've blown some air thru the detergent tray...

It is very nice. I still dont understand how these can wash properly with so little water, but so far I love the machine. It is touchy if you get to close to it when it is off, as if your clothes brush lightly against it it starts up. I hang items over the top on a rod and have a habit of getting to close. Yes so far I would buy it again. Expensive but worth it.

I usually don't write comments but I guess I was compelled to write one this time as I understood how helpful they can be when you are out shopping and have so many options to choose from. Let me clarify that I am a genuine customer and not a paid blogger. I have had this washer for 1 month now and although that's not a lot of time but so far I haven't faced any issues, like many of you guys I wasn't sure about which washer to go for especially with so many options out there, however unlike cars I chose to put my trust with American engineering, design and quality. So far I have been pretty happy with the way the it's washing the clothes (after all that's the most important thing we buy a washer for). Certainly the chrome design looks great and the option to Load and go is amazing (very thoughtful, trust me you would love it). Menu is easy to understand, might take a while to understand it but self explanatory. Based on my research most people had complained about the issue of molding with the front loaders so as a precaution I keep the door open after every wash until the water dries up.

My wife and I moved into a new house and needed a washer/dryer for our second floor. We liked the look of this washer with the LED lights and chrome tinted door. After 5 months of use, we are very pleased with it. It's not super loud and really does a great job washing our clothes, towels, and rugs. The fan fresh feature comes in handy when we forget to switch loads. My favorite feature is the detergent bin. I like being able to load up the bin and not have to refill it for several loads. I just have to add fabric softener each load which is easy. Funny thing is, I told my wife before we bought this washer that "why don't companies come out with a washer that you can load a bunch of detergent into so that you don't have to add some each load". Well, they did it and we got it. Love it. One thing people don't know is that after you're done washing, you need to leave the door semi open so that the inside can air out. You don't want mold to grow. We bought the matching model dryer and it's fantastic. Both are well worth the money. We bought each during a big sale so we saved a ton. FYI, you can put money down to hold sale prices. So if you're months away from being able to purchase the item, just put a down payment on the washer/dryer to hold the sale price.

Huge Washer but a little noisy

We love our new washer and dryer set. They both have huge capacities perfect for our 4 person family. This was bought to replace a 14-year-old Whirlpool Duet. The only issue we had is that we could not get a new pedestal drawer that was only 12 inches. It only comes in 15 and half inches, which would have made the washer too tall for our space. So we had to go with only a 10 inch pedestal, no drawer. It is a little noisy, kind of the same as our old model. I also noticed the scent booster beads did not all dissolve fully as some were stuck on the rubber piece right inside the door. A sock got stuck in between the rubber and the door the first time we used the washer. We had to pause the machine and pull out the sock. It hasn't happened since then, but now I always check to make sure no clothing is stuck there. Overall it's a good washer.

If you are tired of having to leave your front loader door open to prevent that mildew smell, this is the washer for you. It has a fan that circulates air through the washer and dries out the inside to prevent nasty smells. We also love the load and go detergent dispenser which takes the guesswork out of how much detergent to use. Just fill the hopper, shut the lid, and start washing. It will let you know when you need to refill it. The washer has many different cycles to choose from and leaves our clothes clean and fresh.

    Already a service call

We recently replaced our LG washer-dryer set with the Load N Go from Whirlpool. Not only 2 weeks in use, and it's already required us to call the manufacturer to have a service tech come out and look at the error codes the display is flashing (E01 & F03), which locks up the washer, until water is drained from the bin. On the upside, it's very quiet and does a good job cleaning...however, in a busy family of 5, this unexpected issue is frustrating, knowing how new this unit is. Since it's less than a year old, Best Buy's Geek Squad referred me directly to Whirlpool for repair, and we'll wait at least 2 days before a service tech can come out. Based on just that, I would say there might be more reliable sets to consider vs. this one.

    Excellent Washing Machine

This washer replaced a Kenmore Elite washing machine and it is simply perfect. I first purchased an LG Washer and it leaked (internally) for no apparent reason, Best Buy replaced the LG and the second unit did the same thing. This Whirlpool was my second choice initially, but I should have stuck with this brand (Whirlpool used to make Kenmore Elite for Sears back when I bought my previous washer). This is by far one of the best balanced front loaders that I have experienced. Big or small, the dynamic drum balance is stable. The wash cycles do a great job and I am fairly excited with this purchase overall.

This front loader is the best I have ever had. I had a previous Whirlpool but was much smaller because it came with our house when we bought it. I wasn’t sure I would be able to tell the difference but, it is amazingly quite and holds large amounts of clothes. Which allows us to wash more clothes at a time but less loads. It also has a lot of different cycles. Great job Whirlpool.

Works as it should. Lots of settings, but easy to use. Seems to take longer to complete wash cycles than previous top loader washer. Like the automatic detergent dispenser. Door can't be reversed like the matching dryer. Requires expensive pedestal to raise the side loading door to a useable height.
