Customers are saying

Customers appreciate the Duet 4.1 Cu. Ft. 7-Cycle High-Efficiency Front-Loading Washer's high efficiency, quiet operation, and clean washing performance. Many also find it easy to use and appreciate its larger capacity compared to other models. While some users have reported issues with the door seal, the positive feedback on cleaning ability and ease of use outweighs these concerns. The machine's powerful spin cycle and generally affordable price are also frequently praised.

Great washer at a great price

Overall I LOVE this washer. It's quiet, was a great price, and had all the features I was looking for in a more economical washer. Cleaning power is awesome! Definitely more energy efficient using less water and the spin cycle is so powerful that clothes come out much less water logged making drying time shorter. Love that I can do larger loads of laundry so I spend less time in the laundry room! Only thing I scored it as good on was the fact that the buttons are on the front so barely leaning into while folding or even brushing a blanket up against it can set the power on. Not a huge deal as nothing actually starts and you just push the power button again to turn it off. The actual cycles are longer than the old style top load washers but that doesn't bother me as I rarely get to putting things in the dryer until hours later anyway. If you need a load done quicker there is an option for a shorter cycle but so far I haven't used it. I debated between sticking with the old top loading when my old one quit and also between the new HE top loaders vs. this HE front loader. Did my research and this one has a great rating. Very pleased with my decision and highly recommend this washer!

This is an excellent machine at a really great price. Easy to use, does a great job on the clothes, has a lot more room then my old machine and is very quite. I was able to wash a queen size comforter with no problem. I was unsure about the limited number of cycles and extra features but it turns out it's more then enough and I am glad I did not spend more for all the extras that are just not necessary.

I've never had a front loader washer before, and I love it! Operation is quiet and very user friendly. I use much less water and soap than I did with my top loader. Only downside is the cost of the base - a necessity, but very overpriced.

I was looking for a basic washer at a good price. This one fit the bill. Other stores carried all the slashy, bells and whistle washers. I only use 3 different settings. It was great that Best Buy installed it for free and took the old one for free. None of the other stores would do that for free.

Since this washer is a front-loader, it's supposed to be efficient with water and energy-use. It's quiet and washes well. It seems a bit smaller than my previous old style washer that had an agitator, but the only time I noticed is the one time I washed a comforter. I felt like I was packing it into the drum and wondered if it would wash well (it wasn't especially dirty so I couldn't tell afterwards). The larger rubber seal at the opening can collect small items like handkerchiefs and nursing pads (only happened once so far) and you might miss them if you don't look inside of it. I leave the door and soap drawer open to get them to dry since I've heard that front-loaders can start to smell if you don't do that. The touch buttons give a modern look, but you can accidentally turn it on by brushing against it and you have to wait a second for multiple presses to register. These are minor gripes for me and I think the washer works great.

Prior to purchasing this washer we did some research in comparing the efficiencies of a front load vs top load washers and of course you can tell which we decided to go with. The price was questionable; however, after some comparisons we determined we can live without some of the bells and whistles on the others. This does the job and does it well. It is pretty quiet. We can carry on a conversation in our dining room, which is about 5 feet away from the washer without having to compete with the machine's spin cycle.

We are very happy with this machine. Our old duet died after only six years and were told by an appliance repairman that washers in general, are not built to last longer than 6-7 years. We like front loaders and this one got good reviews. It wrings out the clothes wonderfully! It is also a lot quieter than our previous duet. So far, I am very pleased with this machine. Hope it last longer than our last duet, however....

Had no idea of the difference that I would see between my 32 year old Whirlpool washer & this new washer. Uses far less soap, with no noticeable residue in clothes. Fast, very quiet & significantly less water use compared to my 32 year old washer.

This washing machine is wonderful! Clothes come out SO clean and it uses way less water than a top loader. It is quiet and makes a little bell melody when the wash is done.

I like the stack washer and dryer. It takes less space in the laundry room and is handy to switch from washer and dryer. My previous washer and dryer had annoying buzzers when cycle was complete. This Whirlpoole washer and dryer had musical signals. Also shows the time left on the cycles .

I did not want a front loading washer but due to space restrictions in my laundry room, the salesman suggested that I look at the front loading as I could have the larger washer and still fit in the space available. I am very pleased with my decision to try this washer. My clothes come out of the washer much dryer than my previous high efficiency machine. It is very quiet and I love being able to delay the start of the wash. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase and would purchase another front loading machine again.

We have had this washer for about I month and it is great. It holds a massive amount of laundry!! The controls are touch which makes them very sensitive. It was a great purchase and Best Buy staff was really great during purchases and delivery.

This is a great machine as far as reliability goes. We seem to go through washers every 2 or 3 years. This one has lasted 5 and seems to be going strong. The clean out trap is a pain in the backside. You have to take the back off of the washer since there is no panel on the front. This needs to be done once a month or so as it tends to eat a sock or something and get plugged up. It gets our clothes clean, was inexpensive and seems to be lasting for us so it is heads a tales above the last 2 or 3 washers we have had.

Love my new washer, uses less water and my clothes are almost dry when the cycle is finished because it spins so well, takes less time in the dryer.
