This is our 2nd whirlpool duet washer. The first one lasted for about 12 years and had no major issues with it. When the repair was going to cost $300 we decided it would be better to purchase a new set. Since we had good luck with Whirlpool, we decided to go again with another Whirlpool Duet. We did our research online and decided to go with this model because of the vibration/noise reduction technology. Haven't utilized all the features yet, but our washer is currently quieter then the dryer when the rpm's are at max (which is nice since our laundry room is on second floor by a bedroom). Will be purchasing the matching dryer at a later date. Note: If you own an older whirlpool for 10 years ago, you will have to get new pedestals if you like that feature. Also was fastest purchase I've ever made in Best Buy store. Walked in showed the associate which model we wanted, went over install/warranty, and were out in 10 mins. Install crew was professional and nice, Took away old washer and installed new one and briefly showed basic controls on the unit.

I've only had this washer for a short time. I have not been able to test out all the functions yet, so far I have been impressed with the machine. On extra fast spin cycle the unit is very stable and quiet. The Samsung model I had before this was very loud and would shake the house. Both dryers were leveled with the same level on the same floor. I'm making this evaluation from several loads of laundry. I really like the load and go for the soap. I just wish they did the same for the fabric softener. Also just want to say I love the light inside the washer!

Replaced a 2 year old LG that completely fell apart. (Repairman wanted $800 to fix after 3 visits) We have had this washer for 3 weeks now and our clothes are cleaner and it seems to get very dry on the spin. When I start the dryer, it starts at 43 minutes then after a few minutes it drops to 18. That means that it cuts my dry time in half! So far, it's paying for itself in saved energy!

The Machine Washes and spins very quiet. The automatic settings for towels and rugs is longer than needed, and cannot be adjusted. Door swings completely open and cannot keep it slightly cracked open. This was the second machine - Had to replace machine because the first one that came , one had to shove the door up and really push in to close. Best Buy forgot the pedestal. Dryer is back ordered!

I read so many reviews and recommendations for washers and dryers and thoughthe I had made.up my mind to get the new Samsung front loaders with the little door but then I saw the open box Whirlpool Duet washer and dryer which are generally very expensive so I had eliminated them as an option until I saw what a great price they were since they were open box. This machine is AMAZING takes half the time to wash and is so quiet. Simply the best appliances I have bought. Also Best Buy installers were the most professional I have come across.

I really like the automatic soap dispenser no guessing how much soap is required, plus in my case I think I save from over using soap. I used to always put in to much soap. Very low operating sound, low vibrating.

Have alway loved whirlpool. Unfortunately this model had a faulty sensor that went out just a few days after my warranty expired. I replaced it twice to the tune of over $200 a pop. Second repair man said it's going to keep happening. Bought a newer model.
