This GPS works wonderfully. I'm alerted when my dog goes out of her boundaries either by an email or a text. Love it!

She has only escaped once sense the whistle was attached to her collar. We were unable to track her as she was about 60 acres away and that wasn't far enough to show her off our property apparently. Customer service is prompt and very kind. They try very hard to help.

I'm pleased with the pinpoint accuracy of this tracker. If I have to go find my cat I can count on this tracker to put me right on target.

This has saved me so many times when my dog gets out. I do hate how it has pop ups and goal updates when u opeN the app, just be sure to change in settings. Sometimes I have false alarms and/or it won’t connect immediately

Does this thing have a battery? If it does it is pitiful. I charged it two nights ago. My dog did not leave the safe area and the thing was dead by 2.

Can't imagine going without this!

I have several of these devices and will be getting 1 more. I can't imagine not having one of these anymore! It provides great peace of mind knowing I can us it to help find my fur babies if they escape somehow. You can get notifications if they leave your house, and use the app to track them live. My only complaint is that even with 3 dogs you need to purchase a plan individually for each dog. A multi-pet household discount on the service plan would be greatly appreciated.

buyer beware

First time I used it, the unit fell off while my dog was hunting in heavy cover. The company refused to replace it, even though they have a "90 risk free guarantee." Very misleading guarantee, bad customer service. Was also very disappointed in the tracking abilities, pretty much impossible to find your dog if it gets lost in the wild. It tracks your dog, but doesn't show your own position, which makes it pretty useless.

Beware early termination fee

Not only did the Whistle 3 have several technical issues (randomly reporting my dog 500 feet away even though he was right next to me) but once you decide that the tracker is not for you and try to cancel the service you are charged an early termination fee, even if you're on a month to month plan. Apparently notice of this fee is buried in the contract that you agree to when you sign up for the service. But this notification is on a different screen from the acceptance screen, and you have to click on a link to get to it. I consider this dishonest. Only companies that know their products are substandard charge you to stop using and paying for their product. There are better pet trackers available.

Older model was better

I had the whistle gps and was excited to get the new whistle 3. It has very poor performance compared to previous model. Most time it cannot locate my pet. I called support and they said it is because they are using a new provider ...att vs Verizon or vice versa. However my area gets both and I did not have this problem with whistle gps model. Very unhappy I purchased the new model when it was back ordered so my purchase is out of date for return.

poor labeling

I bought this, got it home and discovered that it requires a paid subscription. I double and triple checked the box to see if I just didn't read the label carefully enough. Nope. There's no indication of this charge anywhere on the box. A minimum of $6.95 per dog per month? No thanks. I'm returning it.
