The decks are simple, and the cards are mostly commons or cheap rares, but for the cost you can't beat this. A great way to introduce new players to the game, or get a couple of evenly matched "fun" non-competitive decks to play.

Fun little precon pack for collector or getting into the hobby

A good introduction to Magic! This was my first set and did a good job of explaining the rules. However, I feel like it should have included dice as life counters

My kids love magic - which I find hilarious as I played when I was their age. We have a couple of decks that they play but wanted something more varied. Picked these up during one of BestBuy's toy sales for an excellent price. The package came quickly. The cards are fun (if not a little overpowered in some cases). A few cards you have to read twice to see the combos, but not anything as bad as some cards in other expansions. If you want two more decks or something to add to your collection, you could do a whole lot worse.

Bought for me and my wife to play. These decks are a good next step after playing with the free starter decks that you get from game stores, as these have a few more mechanics and are more powerful. Good mix of colors, teaches different playstyles of the colors. Included instructions on how to play the game though are lacking, but most people these days just look up videos on YouTube on how to play (or at least they should) so this is not as important. (I paid $6.99 for this)

A great starter set to learn how to play. Your not going to win against seasoned players with their decks but this is a great way to get an idea of what to expect when playing.

This was a perfect starter kit for someone just getting into MTG. It’s even a good value for regular players. The included extras and manual are very helpful too.

Haven't played magic in 20+ years, I really love this starter pack, the cards are varied and some of the newer rules are explained in the book for ease of use.
