Customers are saying

Customers highly value the collector's edition, expansion, book, music, coin, and digital goodies that come with the World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth Collector's Edition. They particularly appreciate the elegant Elegy/Good War book and the improved music. While some customers find the $100 price tag too high, many believe it is worth the cost for the quality and quantity of items included.

    My first WoW Collectors Edition

I heard of Blizzard's Warcraft series since the original RTS trilogy back in the day, and then the World of Warcraft trailer. Overwatch brought me more into Blizzard's products. I came into WoW during the Legion expansion, and got excited for BFA. Being my first WoW collectors edition it is really cool, only downside is that it is the first of the collectors to be mostly digital (soundtrack is now digital instead of a CD & game disk is also digital). Overall the physical stuff are really cool and of high quality. No mouse pad or art book but the novella and the medallion are really great replacements to the old traditional stuff. If the mouse pad and the physical CD existed I would have given it a five star, but other than that a four star is just as good

Different upgrade to the older Collector’s bundles

I was pretty skeptical; but the hefty double sided faction display coin, in game mounts and novella were totally worth it. I’m still using my mousepad from BC and it’s very uncomfortable and thin. I know missing this was a lot of player’s concerns, but if you like things you can display more then I highly recommend this change. Sure it sucks not having the hard copy soundtrack, but newer cars don’t have a CD player installed anyways. The art book was a little missed, but I looked at it once and then never picked it up again and this novella is lengthy with some minor artwork. Will definitely hold my attention longer.

I know some were unhappy that the Collector's Edition for BfA no longer contains the concept art book, soundtrack CD, mousepad, etc... But it's still really nice. Personally like the big 2-sided faction coin (have it right in front of my gaming monitor, with ALLIANCE shown, to represent!). And the two-sided Elegy/Good War book is elegantly put together (more fun to read and go back to than the free online versions, and is good companion for the Chronicle books). And the downloadable soundtrack songs come in various formats and sound great!

Although there was some negativity regarding this expansion's collector's edition, I thought it was quite nice. Along with the code to unlock Battle for Azeroth, I got the entire soundtrack (downloadable, not physical), a cool Alliance/Horde medallion and an AWESOME book written by Christie Golden. The main reason I purchased the collector's edition was to get this original book. It's plot revolves around the events that lead up to this expansion and has both sides of the story (Alliance & Horde). I am a happy customer.

    A new wow CE!

This is the latest expansion to the WoW series. While I do not play anymore I continue to purchase the CE's for the bonus items in other games and the coupon codes they silently package in the box. This year was probably the worst of the CE's as they didn't throw in all the typical physical goodies as they have in years past. They included a story book instead of the typical artbook from the expansion and no more mouse pad from the changes to the world map.

This is the ultimate collectors edition world of Warcraft item. Not only do you get the game with digital upgrades you also get the sound track, the alliance/ horde medallion , and a horde/alliance book all contained in a great box. If you are a fan of the game then this is a must have. For the Alliance!

    Another Slam Dunk by Blizzard

I am a huge WoW fan, and I have been playing since midnight release back in November of 2004. That being said, I am always honest when it comes to be reviews of my favorite game series. This game nails a lot of things down right! Island adventures are a blast; Dungeons and scenery look, feel, and play great; I personally really like this story (especially after all the fel and demonic themes of Legion), and; it seems like this particular expansion will get better with time. That being said, because of the major squish and leveling overhaul, I feel that tuning is still WAYYYYYY off. It doesn't make the game unplayable or even not particularly fun, but certain classes definitely do not feel balanced. Again, I think this expansion will get better with time as Blizzard has a chance to analyze how the classes are being played. This analysis and tuning will greatly improve the fun. Overall, I'm giving this 4-stars, but I feel that with proper tuning over a month or two this will EASILY be a 5-star game.

A lot of people weren't happy with the change from the usual Blizzard CE format but I love the novel, medallion, and stand for it. The packaging is nice, the digital goodies are awesome, and so far the expansion is pretty great

Lover this game, been playing since launch. Throughout the years there are have been quite a few expansions, they were all hit or miss, but I feel this one is one of the hits. I highly recommend it to new and old players.

Great product, great game, impressed as always. The only thing I wish was there that isn't, would be the edition specific mouse pad. Other than that, it is great.

So far, BFA is my favorite expansion in ages. Love the storytelling and beautiful new zones. For just $30 more than the digital collector's edition, this box gives you some pretty nice items. I really like the Alliance/Horde medallion--it sits on my shelf while I play. The book with the two novellas offers some great art. The digital soundtrack is a nice perk if you don't have access to Spotify or Apple Music (otherwise it's available there). Also, if you already own BFA, Blizzard will credit $50 to your Blizzard account when you enter the code for the physical collector's edition.

There was a fair amount of pre-release griping about this collector’s edition; their shift away from the standard contents caused some to think they had gone low effort with this years release. I’m in the category that will buy these just to keep my collection going, but I will admit I wasn’t sure how much I was going to like the contents of this one. The biggest surprise was that the “coin” is the width of a drink coaster, weighs a good couple pounds, comes with a display stand, and is quite intricate. The promotional material simply didn’t do it justice. It’s a fantastic addition to my shelf of collectibles. I think I could also use it as a bludgeon in a pinch. It’s that solid. The rest of the presentation is a step up, with the game key card coming in a little envelope that gives it a little air of exclusivity. I’m holding off on unwrapping the book until I’m ready to read it, but the binding is gorgeous. I feel like I got my money’s worth.

Yes, for whatever reason they chose not to include the mouse pad and art book this time. There is a book though, two in one, beautifully illustrated stories from both side's perspectives. The medallion really surprised me though. It's very solid and looks rather nice sitting on my desk. No regrets for buying it.

My son & husband both love Blizzard World if Warcraft. They have been playing it for years. I watch sometimes and the game, characters, scenery, its just all so amazing. I always buy the expansions when the come out so that they will have access to all the new areas & content. Fyi: Just know it requires a monthly subscription to play WOW (AKA World of Warcraft.)

Old hatreds die hard. The tensions ease only to flare a new with twists and turns. And the screams for blood leave you wondering if you have picked the right side in a war that never really ends. Peace is small and seldom in the world of Azeroth, where factions and sides push and pull against one another. Whether you are Horde or Alliance, you have to make a stand, there is no middle ground here. No place to call for peace.

    Building on Legion Success

Battle for Azeroth builds on the success of legion, keeping most of waht made the game great while refocusing on the war between horde and alliance. Story may be a bit much to take in and has some questionable continuity but solid so far. As far as the Collectors edition extras the coin is surprisingly heavy and the art book is replaced for 2 stories , one for horde and alliance. The mount you get is pretty nice too.

I have been a WoW player since the game began, I have all the other collectors editions and this is the ONLY one I have been disappointed in. In all the other editions they gave you a LOT of extra items you didn't get from the normal edition. Art book, mousepad, DVD of behind the scenes, Soundtrack CD, Game Cards, in game items, and free game time for friends. This year they give you the art book and a medallion and that's it, everything else is a digital download AND it cost $20 MORE than it normally does. SO they are charging you MORE for LESS. Good business model Blizzard, you can tell that they are OURSOURCING this game to other companies instead of keeping the work in house. VERY Disappointed.
