This is a very good middle of the road card and you get great performance at a low price point. I originally had it paired with a Ryzen 3 CPU and experienced some bottle necking in certain games. I have since upgraded to a Ryzen 7 2700X CPU and now get steady FPS in those games.

This is such an awesome mid-high range car, excellent for max 1080 & med 4K gaming. You won't be disappointed.

With some tweaking, it's a beast!

XFX has a strange way of releasing products. They are pretty solid on the whole, but this one definitely needs some tweaking out of the box. The great thing about this is XFX somewhat encourages it, as long as you aren't being obtuse.
I love this card. It might not seem like much of a step up from an RX 480 on paper, but there is a noticeable improvement to frametimes in some of my favorite games. Finally I can enjoy things at my monitor's higher refresh rates!
There were some teething issues during the first couple hours. I looked up a review on the card after experiencing temperatures above 80C. Turns out this is a dual-bios card with a dip-switch for changing between the two. Unfortunately, XFX ships this card set to the "quiet" fan setting, it would seem. Before install I would recommend flipping that switch!
Even at that though, with higher fan speeds and lower temperatures, I still wasn't quite happy with what I was seeing. There were numerous dips in Vcore and core clock during gaming and benchmarks. After reading reviews on another site, I stumbled across a really decent fix for it!
You see, AMD are pretty awesome about things. Their driver suite just comes with overclocking capabilities that are quite easy to set up. So I took that review’s advice and increased the power target by 15% and set a more aggressive fan curve. (I've attached a screenshot of which settings I used in the driver control panel to get more stable performance.)
Results? Buttery-smooth performance and some decent temperatures to boot! The drawback with the RX 590 in general is the power consumption. It has stellar performance for its price (Especially during the 50th sales) but it comes with a power cost.
I routinely see a power draw over 200 watts just for the GPU die (according to GPU-Z.) Not even taking into account the rest of the board. This isn't an issue if you have a good power supply and decent airflow, but I would be hesitant to try this card on older or budget builds. If you do have an older setup and are worried about power, just get a decent (as in 550w+) 80+ Gold or better with plenty on the 12v rail and you're good. You can also get some pretty well-performing cases for a song online. All a matter of how tenacious you are, hehe.
All-in-all I'm blown away by the performance-per-dollar of this card. The drawbacks are negligible, especially remembering cards like the R9 300-series where power was very much off the charts. The 12nm refresh does well by this architecture, with the only tradeoff I can see being increased power consumption. There are more eco-friendly options out there for sure, but you won’t find this level of performance for the price!

I upgraded the GPU in an older PC I acquired for my daughter. She wanted to be able to do VR. I found I only needed to upgrade the video card and this is what I went with. It was an affordable option for this older PC. I am glad I did. This thing is a beast. The PC runs great, the GPU runs great, and my daughter has no problem running VR experiences now. It runs a little noisy at times but it is nothing that bothers us, although it is noticeable.

Overall happy with my purchase. Best buy even price matched Newegg and Amazon's price. As for the VideoCard itself, it is a very good almost on par with GTX 1660 without the hefty price tag. Would be best in a well ventilated case. I use it in a smaller micro atx case that impedes maximum air flow, averaging about 81-83c when gaming long hours. Can play basically all AAA tittles out there at max settings with no lag whatsoever.

Installed this card on a b450m mobo with a Ryzen 5 3600 and 16gb of 3200 MHz ram, a Samsung NVME M2 ssd. It does not drop any frames @144hz on a 1440p display on high settings In most games. It does run hot so make sure you have good airflow and at least at least a 700 watt psu if you plan to overclock it. It will handle VR with ease as well.

Good GPU does get hot fast does 1080p at max settings on all my games have not tried a higher resolution due to lack of 2k or 4K monitor however I’ve read enough to assume it will only get around 30 FPS at 1440 have not tried vr due to lack of htc vive great GPU for my budget

Don't know much about graphics card, but ended up choosing this over the 580, simply because it was cheaper at the time of purchase. Did some light researching and found out that this is just an overclocked version of the 580 counterpart. If you can get this cheaper than the 580, pick this one up instead since it's already over clocked out of the box. No need to do tweaking on your side.
I've had zero problems with some of the games I've been playing. Been playing jRPGs like FFXIII and it has handled that game pretty well on Steam. I did not remember this game ever looking so good. Ran it on a crosshair hero VI motherboard, with 16gb of ram, 1080p on a 75hz acer monitor, full-screen, x2 aliasing and I believe 1024x1024 shadow resolution. Still new to the whole PC gaming terms, so not sure what aliasing was nor shadow resolution's impact on games, so I just ticket it to the default settings available for FFXIII and had zero problems with graphics, or rendering of things in the game. Pretty happy with this purchase.

Runs all my games (including Division 2) on High or Ultra settings very well. It does run a little hot and uses around 200 watts. If your case doesn't have good airflow, I wouldn't recommend this GPU for you.

Good graphics. I really don't have anything to compare it to because this is the first one I have ever bought but it has run everything that I have thrown at it. From COD to Mudrunner to a Short Hike. Everything has worked. Sometimes it has been finicky but I just lower the graphics a bit and it runs fine. Sometimes with higher graphics the card will sound like a jet engine but that is expected anyways. I like this card a lot and recommend it for first time buyers

Runs Well, Has Some Temperature Issues

I purchased this card to go in my first PC build. While I am impressed with the performance, it has some heating issues. During my first week of use, I noticed that the card was running hot, around 82 °C when playing intense games. However, I figured it was okay since the card seemed to run perfectly fine at this temperature. After about a month of use, the card died in the middle of playing a game, and my computer wouldn't boot up. I took out the card, and my computer booted up fine (albeit any video input due to me not knowing how to turn on integrated graphics). I sent the card in and have received a replacement since. I am not sure if the heat issue caused my card to short out, but I am definitely being more cautious with the replacement. I have yet to play any intense games, but at idle the card stays at around 37 °C and gets up to around 65°C when playing Minecraft with shaders. Hopefully, I don't have the same issue again, and the heat doesn't become so much of a problem that I have to change some settings to cool it down.

This worked very well as a replacement for my Radeon R9 390. It consumes WAY less power and after installing the card I noticed a suprising boost to all of my games. It runs Battlefield V pretty good on high at 60fps and I felt a good boost to performance in War Thunder, it feels alot smoother now. Not to mention its price is insanely low for a graphics card so it is a definite buy if you are doing a quick upgrade or building a medium/higher build gaming computer along with a ryzen CPU.

I've been happy with this graphics card but it can be noisy during more visually demanding games even some games i wouldn't think would be. The Radeon software has helped a lot with optimization so I highly recommend taking advantage of that if noise is a big issue.

The Graphics is a high value and the price was great as well. Considering what quality gaming cards are going for. The only stumbling block was one of the paths to download drivers was not correct. The other worked fine and I've had the card installed for 3 days now.

The card doesn't have the best cooling for a 590 but it works and it is the only one my best buy stocked ( I prefer to buy from BBY in case there is a problem returns are easier then online shops)

Card runs most games well, even the triple a BR maps and such. But, the drivers and issues that come with this card make me second guess my purchase. I can get 90% of the games I play to run smoothly and not crash, but that 10% of games really frustrates me, maybe I'm hoping for too much. So if you're looking for a budget card, this will do it for you, but I am sure something else is better.
