Customers consistently note the Speedster MERC319 AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT's exceptional performance in gaming and video editing, as well as its effective cooling system that keeps temperatures low even under heavy load. However, many customers find the high price to be a significant drawback, and some also mention its large size as a potential issue for certain computer builds. The card's powerful capabilities are frequently praised, but the cost may not be justifiable for all users.

I have owned/own 3 6900XT's (reference, Sapphire Nitro + and this MERC319) as well as a RTX 3090 FE. Out of all those, this XFX is the most impressive. It is HUGE and heavy, similar to the 3090 FE in it's tank like build. The build quality is excellent with excellent cooling and high quality components. Mine out of the box averages about 2450mhz in games and with some light overclocking, it easily averages over 2600mhz on games with 100% stability. With a modified fan curve of 60% fan, it is still relatively quiet and runs very cool, around 60-62F edge temperature and 75-78F hot spot. Really a very impressive graphics card. Performance is fantastic, so much so I sold my 3090 as it only offered more performance in games with Ray Tracing, which so far is not worth the performance hit with any card yet.
My only complaint is the high price, which was $700 over the base MSRP of a 6900XT, but given the current environment, it is what it is for pretty much ALL graphics cards and I will not knock it for that.

Merc 319 GPU Powerhouse, 3090 Killer!

This is a straight powerhouse of a GPU, it's selling points say it has a boost clock of nearly 2,400. Let me tell you that is an understatement. Unless I just got Lucky with the silicon lottery when I purchased this card but no joke I can get almost 2,600 boost stable on most games. I run it at about 2,500 though cuz I found this the sweet spot for my card. I also have it paired with a Ryzen 9 5950 x so the AMD SAM feature is enabled and it is a noticeable imporovement on an already extremely high end card with nothing but great perks. I see some people say this card is garbage must be used for mining. That I promise you isn't the case it actually has a fairly low m/h for such a big GPU. The reason you were experiencing stuttering and issues is because you said it yourself you had originally had a 3070 in the computer. And you didn't take the appropriate steps to accommodate a new GPU from a different manufacturer. When you switch GPU and especially when you switch brands it is imperative that you run DDU and completely uninstall all previous GPU updates and data or you will in fact run into the problem of stuttering and the reason being is because the card doesn't know which data to use so it's trying to use fragmented data to run it's operations. I can tell you I have in fact played Horizon New Dawn on my Merc 319 and it plays it better than the intended system it originally was made for ie the playstation. It has beautiful landscapes and vibrant colors. The way is amazing it literally like looks like you are swimming right there on your screen. This card has been a definite positive experience for me and I am just about to watercool it beings I just received my waterblock in the mail this week so I can only imagine even a greater experience and gameplay. If you are wanting a powerful card that won't disappoint and you can get your hands on one of these I suggest you do it and don't hesitate cuz you will be bummed you missed this one.!

Amazing card, this beast will run full load and not even go over 73 degrees. If you are looking to 1440p/2K gaming, this is the card. It tops the 3090 in this range, loses out a bit in the 4k realm though. A no bells and whistles power house. Pair this with a 1440p 144+hz monitor

As an enthusiast, a pro clocker, and a liquid cooling / Heat Transfer fluid systems specialist, this GPU’s air cooling capabilities are amazing. I did liquid cool this gpu with a Bykski Gpu waterblock, the performance gains and temperature drops are significant, yet the overclocking on the air cooled version was very near the overclocking of the liquid cooled version. These are somewhat arbitrary seeing as their are voltage and core clock mods you can do in order to really push this gpu, however as a straight air cooled card , temperature and performance levels it’s an absolute beast !

Bought this to replace my 1080TI in the drop that happened yesterday. I don't need to OC a ton or do anything crazy with it, I just wanted an upgrade to run the things I play in 1440p a bit better as the 1080TI was struggling a little bit.
Man this thing is quiet. The fans stay off and yet it stays cool if you don't OC. Wonderful so far.
Handles anything I can throw at it, and I actually think the software is almost better then Geforce EXP. I dont know why people were upset at it, but maybe they've just really gotten it right.
The card is long, about another inch i would say over my 1080 STIX. That's really the only "downside" as it barely fit in my case.

6900XT at Best Buy, the best at Best Buy!

The MERC319 is an excellent graphics card, in one respect just for being able to buy it during the current ridiculous times! The 6900XT is the best of the group. It can be questioned if the performance increase is worth the relatively large increase in price, but there are situations where it is the difference between an enjoyable experience or not.
Part of the problem with the price is the 25% tariffs now imposed by the U.S. government, which to date have not been recinded again, thus making the high quality / high price graphics cards that much more expensive.
AMD graphics cards also have the Smart Access Memory, which maybe is somewhat more hype than reality but still seems like it is a real benefit, once again only in some situations but everything helps at some point.
I must also include in this review a "25-star" rating for Best Buy. They came up with a method so that regular people can purchase these items, instead of bots buying hundreds of cards within fractions of a second for scalping. Others have given the appearance of fairness, Best Buy has actually delivered on being fair.

There are Nivida club members and there are AMD club members. I find that most who are familiar with one dislike the other.
AMD software is easy to use and effective. This card is second to none. Well built, runs quite, and very cool.
No crashing on any games, FPS is off the charts and CONSISTENT! That is huge.
Overclocking is a breeze and wow this card has power.
I highly recommend this card and XFX is a great manufacturer, excellent customer service, and has tons of support on their site.
I would choose this over the 3090 any day and I PAID LESS than the insane 3090 prices right now.

First off this is a new market, we all know what's going on with graphics cards. It's not going to change anytime soon.Either you have the money for it or you don't. Now... if you do you will be paying a premium but definitely pick this up. You won't be disappointed with the 6900xt's performance. It'll put a huge smile on your face as you're unboxing it lol. You'll be welcomed by its radiant XFX LED logo. I won't get into performance since the card speaks for itself. But overall it's beast of a card, make sure it fits your case prior to purchasing. Its a thick momma lol.

Let’s be practical: 99.98% of purchasers are going to use this GPU to mine cryptocurrency. So for 99.98% of people this card is not ideal. It does not mine very well and has a huge price tag. In terms of return on investment: the AMD 5700XT (especially the progeny of the special edition by Sapphire) is the best tool for any miner. While everyone champions the RTX 3060ti it is not half the beast.
The 5700XT is the modern RX 580 at double the hash rate (55ish) the electric is still under 100KWatts. I have 4 on one mobo and it churns out 215MH/S for 330KWatts. For reference: the bitmain E3 - ethereum mining asic struggles to reach 200MH/S and uses 800KWatts.
This card is best for professionals that don’t want a hitch in their step—not for cryptocurrency.

340mm, chonky card. Pricey too. However, this xfx Merc is within a few percentage points of 3090 performance at 1440p 165hz in my rig and oh so quiet. Glad I grabbed it!

In these trying times, acquiring a GPU, let alone a top-of-the-line unit, could drive you mad. If your time is worth more than the hours spent waiting to get in on an AMD direct reference card, or founder’s edition card, you won’t be disappointed in this GPU. It is slightly overclocked but runs very quiet. Is it worth hundreds of dollars over MSRP? Depends on how much time you have on your hands, and how long you can bear to wait. I recommend applying for a BestBuy credit card and using the no interest financing. That definitely lessens the blow. Good gaming and video editing card, for sure.

This card performs good but I’ve had a few issues with it. First the most annoying thing is the AMD software got me killed in a bunch of games. They for some reason bound the opening of said software to Alt*+R because you know Alt and R are not used in almost every game. Second is the drivers. While they aren’t as bad as what they use to be from what I hear but the did crash 3 or 4 times the two or three weeks I used this card. I ended up switching to a 3090 and haven’t looked back.
