Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the Speedster SWFT319 AMD Radeon RX 6800's price, performance, VRAM, and gaming capabilities. They appreciate its ability to handle high-resolution gaming and its overall value for the price. However, some customers are negative about its size, noise, and coil whine. They mention that the card is quite large and may not fit in smaller cases, and that the fans can be loud and produce coil whine under load.

I have owned an RX 6800 since November 2023 and I just want to say that it probably is the best card I have ever owned, firstly thanks to its performance (relative to its contemporary competition), secondly for not having issues with it contrary to general opinion about AMD GPU's and thirdly for its value for money ($389.99USD, first hand, 3 years of warranty left). I use it on an AM4 platform with a 5700x for 1440p gaming and I have never noticed anything majorly fishy during all these months. In recent times I have owned an RX 6600, and the jump is insane. I have experienced no issues in any of my games (playing at 1440p ultra 120+ FPS and 4K Ultra 60-80 FPS). The 16GB of VRAM is nice to have, and the tipple fan cooling system combined with the large heatsink keep the card nice and cool.

    GREAT CARD FOR THE MONEY

This is an amazing value, if you dont care too much about Raytracing. This card is great for 1440p max setting or even 4k if you turn down a few things. It also has 16 gigs of ram which you dont even get on the RTX 4070s which are two or three hundred more than this card. 10/10 would recomend for anyone looking to have a great experience without breaking the bank!

Pros: -This gpu overclocks/undervolts like a champ, -Cheap in comparison to the market prices at the moment of review, -Has 16GB RAM, -Decent FreeSync. Cons: -Out of the box 14C difference between gpu and gpu hotspot temperature, -Balanced setting raises the temperature to 98C on hotspot!!!, -Fans are really loud on max rpm, -The plastic on this GPU is of the worst quality of any GPU I’ve owned so far. Besides the cons, you can fiddle around with overclocking and get really decent results. Undervolted, frequency boosted (both core and ram) and manually set fan curve will make this cheap GPU excellent bang for buck deal. Bought it on discount totaling ~$423 after taxes and would definitely recommend it at this price point.

    1440p Price-To-Performance Powerhouse

The RX6800 is a 1440p Price-To-Performance Powerhouse. With 16gb of vram this card can play games at 1440p with ease; you will not find this kind of value with Nvidia. I did end up having to send my card off for an RMA; that is not the fault of Best Buy, rather it was a hardware issue. XFX has been awesome throughout the RMA process and very helpful in troubleshooting. I would buy from XFX again; as for the RX6800 if you need a 1440p gaming card with a lot of vram, then this is an epic choice.

This GPU provides some of the best specs for your money. First thing of note is that it is comically long, so make sure you're case can fit it. My experience using it was a bit rocky at the start, but I'm sure most of the problems I faced were a result of my C tier power supply. It would freeze and rarely crash when alt-tabbing into games until I manually undervolted it. Speaking of which, this card has crazy undervolt/overclock potential. Although I can't do crazy overclocks thanks to my power supply, I managed to get the power consumption down to 160W from the default 230W without any performance loss. Just make sure to disable Fast Start in Windows power plan options so it doesn't reset your settings at startup. In gaming, it performs really well, easily getting you high framerates at 1080p and 1440p. This card will last quite a while thanks to its specs. Overall a great purchase if you can't wait for the next gen cards next year.

Upgraded from a GTX 1050 to RX 6800

I have had this card for a couple of weeks now and this is the best value card I have found after watching multiple youtube videos. I had a gtx 1050 that could barely run games on the highest graphics so I needed a upgrade desperately. I settled on the rx 6800 and got it on sale for 350. I have a pretty old cpu (i7-7700k) but I am still able to run games 1080p highest graphic setting at 60+ fps. I would recommend this card for anyone who is on a budget and looking for a good card.

6800 is a great graphics card under 400$. It competes with cards almost double its price. The model I got has a little coil whine but it doesn’t affect performance. Amd’s adrenaline software is miles ahead of nvidia’s glorified driver update software. Although fsr 3 isn’t as good as dlss, the adrenaline software has tons of features to make games more visually appealing and perform better.

Loving the 6800!! First off, great deals on this guy. I run Warzone & some other demanding games, and I’m easily getting 140-200 FPS depending on settings. Overall super crispy! Some mild squeaking when under load but can be normal.

This AMD Radeon RX 6800 dedicated graphics card may be tech from a few years ago at this point, but the price point for what you get is still unmatched. 16GB of DRAM is still extremely competitive. Only things of note that would make this particular graphics card a pass for some are: Large footprint and lack of any lights or design frills. Overall fantastic deal, especially if you can get it on sale.

i love the performance of this gpu, better performance. more space. rx6800 is the clear winner for me. Noticeably faster, double the VRAM, fsr 2.0 is round the corner which looks to compete really well with dlss looking at screenshots so far leaves my rtx3070ti in the dust

Originally went with a 6650XT for 1440p. While it ran most nondemanding games fine, the 6800 certainly gives you the headroom to max out most games as of 2023 at 1440p. Additionally, this is now a last generation card which makes it a better value to the equivalent 7000 series card. Highly recommend this card if can possibly get it on sale.

Surprisingly powerful for a last gen card still getting good fps on 4k using some upscaling. Got 2 individual 8 pin cords instead of the factory daisy chain and eliminated the coil whine it was having. Overall recommend for anyone wanting a new card for under $350.

Awesome buy for the money. Quite (keep fan curve 30% unless over 60 c). Had it on max fan speed, was very loud but it kept under 50 c). Idle temp was 38 c. Took picture playing WoT in Ultra settings.
