I got this item as part of a daily deal when I got my remote starter installed. The interface module was an essential part of the set up and it didn't cost me anything extra. And the best part was the installation, Scott at the Novi, MI store was excellent, he was very efficient and used my time and his time wisely and he did a very clean job.

I bought this for a new Compustar remote start & security system for my truck. The system I bought did not come with the 'Blade' bypass and the salesperson told me this would work and was on clearance for 1/2 off - so I bought it trusting their information. When I took the truck in for the install, the installation tech told me it would not work and I needed another one. Of course it was twice as much, and, not in stock. So I had to order the new one and wait for it to be delivered before they could complete the install. I should have asked the installer before I bought it - but at least I was able to return for a full refund.

this is an interface module for a Viper remote start that I had installed on my 2003 F150. Since the remote aspect of the started has worked flawlessly since it was installed about a month ago, the interface must be working OK. This is one of those devices you don't want to know you have. It should do its thing in the background without calling attention to itself. So far, it is doing that well.

Great product, easy to use and I was able to use all of my functions on my remote (ie; sliding side doors, auto hatch ect./minivan). I lost range since I didn't purchase a separate modular since I wanted to use my remote with all the entry devices. Range is still ok, approx. 75-90ft. I would recommend this unit.

Works great no issues locks and unlocks doors pops trunk. Startup everytime .

The remote starter works relatively well. you have to in a very close proximity to start the car, comparing the old one I had installed by Best Buy 7 years ago. Sometimes it does not detect the remote command. Another setback: after the car has started upon entering the vehicle the engine stops so it require another manual start.

This is a part that is needed for the automatic start.

Bought this for my CompuStar remote start & security system based on info from the store associate. Installer told me it wouldnt work. So I had to return, which is easy at Best Buy but still a hassle - and then buy the correct one. So make 100% sure it will work for you before you buy and save yourself the trouble!

The installed module for the Viper 5301 system is required for keyless start systems. Although it cost extra after purchasing the remote start system it is well worth it to be able to use my keyless start system and have the door lock and unlock system.

Five Stars because it worked as promised. It is simple and has been reliable. Worked seamlessly with the viper remote start system. The geeks did what they had to do. In and out within a couple hours I was getting briefed on the commands of this operation by a friendly geek. Thanks Best Buy

This system was purchased along with a remote start security system which now allows us to have access to our car remotely from over 1000 feet away. We can lock, unlock, and remote start our car which is great on ice cold winter mornings to let it warm up without going outside.

This item was purchased with my Viper Smart start system. It was a pretty cheap accessory. No problems here out of this item.

Had this hooked up to my truck the first time and could not get to work. Ran the power for the alarm to the battery and now it works great.

This product is great and very easy to use. I would recommend it to every one. Its a great price as well and good for every time of the year.

Great to use in the winter weather is still going strong. Great to use when you want to warm up the car before you get in.

The Geek Squad installers messed up on our installation so I'm not sure if it has anything to do with this product or their lack of knowledge. Had to bring the car back after getting it installed because the theft deterrent light on our dashboard stayed on in our GM vehicle after driving away. Problem was resolved after another hour of waiting. Make sure they know what they are doing or you have a game plan while you wait for the installation.

Took it to geek squad to install and they said on an older truck that it would work but not real good so they opted to put in a better quality module that would work better. This is the one that came with the package. I am glad that we took it to Best Buys for installation.
