The print area is excellent for the money, I've put about 40hrs of print time on it with no clogging. The bed calibration is set when it ships but can be tightened up for a more precise tolerance. The menu and functions are easy to use, loading filament is quick and simple. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the lack of fine control in the stock software, and the proprietary filament cartridges. There have been several work arounds for these drawbacks but XYZ try's to shut those down with firmware updates. I knew this prior to my purchase and do not regret choosing this printer. I've made some simple and some complex prints with interlocking and moving parts which have turned out great!

Out of the box this printer is as ready to go as possible. Simply plug it in connect the usb and turn it on load filament and at that point you can do a test print. everything is already calibrated and will take care of itself. That is pretty much the overall with this printer, the software is very restrictive in the amount of options you have but works good overall. For a new 3-d print user this is a great printer to get your feet wet and learn about the hobby.

Been working with the 3D printer since Christmas. Bought it for the grandkids, but I ended up spending more time to teach them... Works as advertised. Sooooooooooo Much to learn about using 3D editors. But Having a Blast! Printing Mario and Spiderman Characters! Great fun... This will be a Fun Challenge!

This printer is exactly what they said it is! It's easy to use. Reasonably priced, and can do pretty much anything you need it to do as a beginner to intermediate user while you take the time to decide if spending big money on a more industrial printer is necessary for you. I found a lot of helpful information online for this line of printers and product support has been fantastic.

Printer works great right out of the box if the right software is used. Would have been 5 stars if xyz would spend some time developing software. It does work very well with MS 3d Builder.

The only complaint, a week in to owning the printer, is that it does not print round circles. They require some further shaping after printing is complete. Other than this, I love this printer.

As I have some experience in 3D printers despite not so favorable reviews I decided to give it a try this machine, and that was my big mistake, even didn't finished the half-filled filament cartridge supplied with the printer when the printer head began to clog. I summit a ticket a the technical support, also I call the several of times but the technical support are the worst, super slow, i go for go for three weeks with this problems and still nothing, please don't waste your time and money with this xyzprinting company.

Support is garbage

Support for this printer is garbage. I had returned a broken part for RMA over 3 weeks ago and have not received a replacement. All phone calls end up with "Valerie" who says she will call me back after contacting the RMA department. This has gone on for over 2 weeks with her never calling back.
The telephone support hotline is sometimes "not within operating hours" when you call in the middle of the day.
It's a pretty good printer, but expect that the support is the worst. Probably expect to replace parts with better parts from another company.

The first shipment was a broken 3d printer when the extruder didnt heat up , but the new one is great and running. Although the software and firmware stinks it is okay and filament is a little bit expensive, the 3d printer is still great for its price.

Poor Support... Poor Heater Circuit Design

Worked fine for the first few months. Heater went bad in extruder and I can't get the company to provide good tech support. I googled the problem and found similar complaints about tech support and about the heater head. Poor support! Unless you plan to fix it yourself, don't buy.

Buyer Beware!

When we purchased this, the printer wouldn't work and I was unable to get through to tech support, but through some printer forums, was able to get working. After 2 weeks of printing, some parts in the printer broke. Tried to get through to tech support, finally got someone to respond, they told us the part was on back order and to return it to Best Buy and get another one. Of course Best Buy wasn't interested in doing that. We've been stuck with a $400 broken printer for the last two months and no remedy as tech support will no longer respond and our last communication was that the part was still on back order.

Poor Experience

The printer itself is a bit flimsy and low quality, but that is to be expected from such a entry level device. Our problem is that the company claims a 1-year warranty but only provides phone support or pays for shipping within the first 30 days. After thatm they push you off to the web support and will take between 24 hours and a week to respond to a question. Each time they responded it was a small step or a yes or no question rather than give us a full set of steps to try. They kept having us do more for something that was obviously a problem from day one. By the time they "allowed" us to send it back it was over 7 months later and they wanted us to foot the $150 bill to ship it to them. They were basically unresponsive and kept stalling support hoping we would go away.
