This is the perfect smart lock for my back door! It was easy to set up, install, and use. I love the keyless life I've set it up so when I come home it auto unlocks the front door for me. I also have it set up to auto lock. It's also connected to my Google Assistant so I can use voice commands to both lock and unlock at the door. I like that it comes with a key too so in case there's an issue with the electronics, I can still get in the house.

This is a great lock and a must have in our house. We have a teenager that sometimes forgets to lock the door when he leaves for school or just goes out. It’s a peace of mind for us. We live that it unlocks when we get nearby so we just open the door and enter. Then when we close the door it locks. Also comes with keys, just in case you forget to replace the batteries. Don’t look any further for a smart lock

After much researchC went with this one as it had the best reviews and works with my Echo Dot. Easy install and setup. Only took about an hour. Am having some issues with the WiFi connector saying it’s out of WiFi range, but it’s only about 15’ away from the router. Have just been using the pad and Bluetooth until I have time to troubleshoot it. I’m sure it’s something simple, hopefully. Otherwise, really like it.

Installation was quick. Suggestion to download the Yale app first which does walk through step by step instructions. We now enjoy the freedom of not carrying keys and also auto lock feature just in case we forget to lock the door at night. Auto-Unlock feature is good but very intuitive so we turned off but overall we like the lock. Caveat: to connect to Wifi and phone app it’s little tricky had to try couple of times

I've been looking for a good smart lock on here and this product works great! Was able to lock and unlock on my phone easy. Works great with google assistant. Auto unlocking when you are close to your house works great too! The only difficulty I had was connecting the connector to internet to use connect to my Google hub, it requires within 10 feet but manage to connect it at the end. Very satisfies with the product. Easy to install and set up.

    Great Lock, Terrible App (August)

To install the hardware was easy. To work with August is a nightmare. If you don't want to use the app, it's a perfect lock. I had problems with the August Connect app *and* device (that you plug into the wall to act as a bridge to your wifi router). The app kept failing during the set-up procedure. Took like 2 hours to make the connection. Now, 9 times from 10 I receive the message "Could not connect...", and I need to reset the lock ( I take the cover for the batteries off, I take one battery out, you wait 10 sec, etc... in order to take the cover off, I need to un-screw a screw...is bad...the all procedure takes around 5 min). I need to call customer service...

Looks good, has some weight to it which helps it look more high end than Eufy or Wyze locks. Definitely well build, imo. I like the multiple options with keypad, wifi/bluetooth while keeping the fallback old-fashioned KEY mechanism. I don't have it up for long but so far so good, notifications are great and especially useful to me knowing when the door was left open/unlocked since I have kids and pets and constant traffic through the door. It is nice to share and send virtual keys if you have those use cases (friends, house/pet sitters, cleaners, etc) and although I experienced some disconnections in the beginning, I realized that it was purely related to my network and signal strength, so plan well where you are going to install and measure the signal strength BEFORE going through the install process (for some it seems like a breeze to install, but my deadbolt was a unique beast and gave me some trouble). Overall, I am pretty happy with the product from looks to functionality. I did not try the voice integration yet, and tbh not sure it is a smart idea anyway...especially for a front door lock ;o)

This lock was easy to install and set up. A little bit of confusion in whether to get the Yale or Assure phone apps as the directions for that were a little unclear and you can use either. I've set up passcodes, connected it to my Alexa (with ease), and set up auto-unlock when my phone is close by. Everything has worked perfectly and we've been happy with this. The black suede is also pretty slick.

Excellent paint finish in matte black. Quality construction. The large and easy-to-see and touch-without- error digital keypad is one of the best features of this state of the art deadbolt lock. It was easy to set up and has worked flawlessly in the first week of operation. We are ordering additional units for back and side exterior doorways. BestBuy delivered quickly and in well protected packaging.

Awesome lock, but setup issues with HomeKit

The lock is awesome and works super well BUT I have one really important note: They tell you to use the BILT app for set up directions and the physical installation of the lock is correct on it but the software setup part is in the wrong order and screwed me up badly because of it. If you’re using it with HomeKit and it uses Connect2August to set up DO NOT set it up with HomeKit prior to finishing setting it up with august connect, connect it to HomeKit through the august app (may need to reboot the phone before it’ll connect it to HomeKit, I had an error that was resolve by power cycling my phone). You can mess up your ability to connect to the lock remotely if you do it out of order and if you remove the lock from HomeKit and it isn’t set up properly, it will then say it belongs to another home and will not set up with HomeKit again until you get a new Connect2August WiFi module. It’s been a huge headache trying to get a new module from Yale - I work for apple and I know how to troubleshoot HomeKit and the issue is in the WiFi module not HomeKit. Otherwise we have 3 of these locks and love them!

The automatic unlocking feature is great when it works. I would say it works about 90% of the time. The batteries die every 3-4 weeks and its frustrating when I get to the door and the keypad doesn't work. No warning option on the app that the battery is low either. Luckily I have a physical key still on my key chain but at that point, why have a smart lock? The most annoying thing is the wifi bridge gets disconnected from my network about 3 times a week, even though my access point is 5 feet away with zero obstructions from the wifi bridge device. Overall I love the convenience, just hate the constant need to replace the batteries and the occasional physical key use.

I love this lock! I researched smart locks extensively for my new home and I kept coming back to this for a number of reasons: it has a keypad so I can leave my keys at home, I can give access to family with their own pin, it integrates with HomeKit, and is powered by a well known brand in the smart lock game, August. It was a breeze to install and I had it up and working in ~30-45 minutes.

Pros: The yale lock is everything I expected, very easy to integrate with my google home/Nest system. Cons: The codes you need to set the lock is located behind the battery pack on the lock which the directions have you looking other places, also they don't explain you will need the same code to add the change codes link. Instructions need to be a little more user friendly.

The Yale Assure lock was an excellent purchase. Installation was easy and straight forward. Once the setup was competed it has function flawlessly. The only only reason I cannot give it a 5 star rating is due to the price. But overall I highly recommend the lock as it seems to be a quality product

Owner of an older Yale lock, it looks the same other than a keyhole. I love the integrated voice for commands and the sounds it produces. Set up was super easy and the lock worked fine until I tried to connect to the Wi-fi which is why I purchased it. It uses the August Wi-fi bridge (system) which doesn't play well with Android. I own the Samsung S20 Ultra. My Wi-Fi mesh is dual band with 5Ghz. The final connection would never work so I returned it. Close as we could surmise is the August Wi-Fi is 2.4 Ghz and even with the phone on 2.4 G it would never finish the setup. On August.com website it clearly indicates full control with Apple Watch so if you have one go for it. However, after looking up Android phone compatibility the following statement exists, "the Android Bluetooth stack can get stuck in a bad state." Turn on and off bluetooth, as recommended, did not help Overall Yale is a great lock. I was adding this one to my side garage door to have two. My other is a Z-wave which matches with my Smart things.

Love this lock. Why did I wait so long to get one? It was the only lock I could find that is narrow enough to fit between the door window and door frame. Easy to set up and operate. I find that I have to change the batteries about every 4-6 weeks. And using a good quality battery is an absolute must in order for the lock to operate properly.

This lock works amazingly well I had some issues, in the beginning, setting up the App. Turn out they don't use the letter O in the serial they use the number 0. I wish they stated that somewhere, but after that problem was solved it been smooth sailing. I would recommend this lock to anyone looking for a secure and safe Smart door lock.

Very simple installation, but setting up the wifi module and getting it to connect between the lock and the home internet took some time and a few choice words. I really like the sensor that tells you if the door is left open. The system pairs great with the rest of our Google products.
