My 9 year old son is learning to play with it. He loves to explore the built in instrument sounds and songs. Easy to follow too.

I purchased this for my granddaughter to introduce her to a keyboard with the idea of purchasing a piano at a future date if she excels on this keyboard. I am really impressed with the sound and the functions, and my granddaughter is very happy with it.

Great keyboard at a good price. I bought this product as a gift for my wife and she likes it a lot.
The only improvement I’d suggest to Yamaha is to reorganize the user manual to make it user friendly.

Great Beginner Piano really helped me learn and light up helps. Don't let your ego get to you, if you truly want to learn and have fun playing a Keyboard this is one of the best ones to buy. It even works great with a sustain pedal.

Yamaha does make pro grade keyboards, this isn't one of them. Basically if you take out the lighted keyboard this is a $180-$200 keyboard max. Anyone who knows what you need to spend for a pro grade keyboard knows the number is in the thousands, not hundreds. This is for some teen who wants a popular brand name for a keyboard for their garage band. It's not junk, but it ain't nothing remotely special or fancy either, it just sorta looks it being that it's white instead of the usual black. I guess as a gift for a kid or teen it ain't terrible, but even then you can get more bang for your buck elsewhere. I can't be too mad at this though. It does appear to have all the elements of a physically durable keyboard. It's not likely any keys will break or that it'll develop weird issues. IDK, just ultimately I've seen better for the same price point. Actually if someone wants a recommendation, spend $350, $70 more, and get the Roland GoKeys keyboard. At least that's a somewhat higher end keyboard. This? There is worse, yes, absolutely, but again, there's definitely better with no effort involved.
