I added this as a remote speaker for a Yamaha home theater system. The setup is pretty straight forward and the sound quality is very good. The speaker is totally dependent on a MusicCast system or bluetooth attached device as there is no external input for a wired music player. I think in future versions they should include an external input so it could be used as an external wired speaker with out the use of bluetooth. Some inputs exhibit a delay and loss of sync, such as Tuner and HDMI input, where Net Radio and Server inputs are perfectly fine.

I purchased this to go with my MusicCast enabled Yamaha receiver. I was skeptical at first with sound and performance as compared to SONOS and BOSE. I have been very pleased with the sound and ease of set-up and use.

easy to set up. simple but flexible interface. very good sound. some delay through wireless as noted in documentation. looking fwd to network wired to remove the delay. I like the flexibility of separate use or use as right and left. I recommend the product for both stand alone use of with a Yamahs network receiver

I can't believe it can sound like that. I trusted Yamaha with the quality they build for receivers so i tried on this one even no review at all. Its really worth the money. It's small and not heavy when i receiver in a box delivered by UPS made me a little doubt it quality but when i turn it on by the MusicCast App, the BASS is very good for its size, amazing sound. Definitely awesome

The Speaker performs exactly as advertised as long as you have a wifi network in your house capable of reaching all the MusicCast related products. You can use this speaker independently of a receiver, with streaming music services over your phone, through the wifi in your place. The speakers power was a bit disappointing as I've been playing my vinyl through the music cast system. I guess i just expected more punch.

I'm a big fan of Yamaha products and I was so hopeful that these (2) speakers would work great together and be a competitive alternative to Sonos. On one hand, the sound from these speakers is excellent. 5 stars. No complaints. However, I purchased these because they were 'Alexa-enabled'. Unfortunately, the capabilities with Alexa are quite limited (unlike Sonos One). Alexa can turn the speakers on/off and volume up/down, but Alexa cannot control Amazon Music (like Sonos can). That was the deal-breaker for me. As a work-around, I set up an existing Echo Dot to output to the Yamahas via Bluetooth (NOT available on Sonos), but the connection was choppy and ultimately not good enough to keep. With further firmware updates, hopefully Yamaha will continue to improve these!

Big fan of the Yamaha system overall. Sometimes I get a bit of skipping or mistiming between this speaker and the main system, but that seems to be related to slowness in the network. When I stream local music, I rarely have this problem. The setup is easy, and the sound is solid.

The speaker was easy to set up, and sounded great right from the start. It works with my tv, home computer, av system, iphone, and my wife's Samsung phone. The one problem you want to be aware of there is a slight delay when watching tv. It's not a problem for me because the av speakers are in the living room and the wireless speaker is in the kitchen they are far enough apart that you can't hear the difference, but nice to have because you can see the tv from the kitchen while preparing dinner..

This works great with my Yamaha receiver. Setups MusicCast much easier than Bluetooth speaker, as MusicCast handle the send so there is no sound delay. The Bluetooth part of this speakers works well with iPhone and iPad send as well. Very good and easy wifi setup and connect for a another room sound. I'd buy this again !

The sound is okay for a small unit. The real benefit of the WX-30 is that it can be linked to the Yamaha receiver in the family room to play the same music in the bedroom. The app has some glitches but overall setup and use is fairly simple.

Pretty good standalone product. Has the ability for a multi speaker system. There is a bit lag when syncing the speakers. Very versatile in terms be able to stream spotify, air-play, servers, Bluetooth and others. Underrated.

Purchased to pair up with a Yamaha receiver and have the same music playing on both ends of the house. The connection with the main source work initially but lately the Musicast app or the speaker does work with the receiver. The WX-30 works fine independently and sounds ok. I have called Yamaha for assistance but I have not been available when the rep. returned my call. Not sure I can recommend this product if it does work as advertised, I am confident that Yamaha will stand behind their product.

i really likes the sound and the eqsy handle it but unfortunately i returned to best buy because I contacted yamaha to fix a small issue with the bluetooth and they just send a form that I have to fill and after a long process they supposedly return a new one...to much for a new unit

Works great with the Yamaha apps and integration with their receiver. I like the portability so I can move it around if needed. The wi-fi setup can be a bit wonky. You should read all documentation to understand the best way to setup for your needs. Suggest a strong wi-fi connection for best performance and reliability.
