Spike Chunsoft is very well known for making excellent visual novel games and YU-NO is what you'd expect from a company of their standing. I haven't finished the game yet but it's been a delight playing so far. This is a point-and-click sort of game where the whole purpose is to make the girls around you fall in love with you. There are several different endings depending on the girl you choose, so you have a lot of freedom in deciding which girls you want to speak to and which that you don't. According to online sources, it will take 40+ hours to reach the TRUE ending of this game. Some things I don't like is that a lot of the characters are pretty stereotypical/cliche anime characters. Also, the western release of this game has been censored compared to the Japanese version of the game. HOWEVER, apparently the Steam version is exactly the same as the Japanese so that's an option if you don't want the physical copy of this game. As far as I know, there is only one part of the game that's censored and it's a panty shot of one of the female characters. Take that with a grain of salt though, my source is what I've found through Google. And no, you won't find any nudity in either of the two versions.

this is a great story with replay-ability so u can try to get the good endings and try out all possibilities of each love interest plus it came with an 8bit mini game which is also alot of fun. if you like visual novels the story here is heartfelt but if ur looking for an action game then this isnt for you. i definitely would recommend

Yu-No is a visual novel game that has an elegant way of telling the story. At first, the game starts a bit slow but after that things start to pick up and really pull you in. If you’re a fan of visual novels than Yu-No shouldn’t be missed.

A fun visual novel that has great art and an interesting story. I recommend this to fans that do not mind reading since this game is in Japanese with English text. Visual Novel fans will love this game. I really liked it and recommend it highly.

I have 100 percented the game. Did all routes, unlocked all gallery images. To me first half of the game was better than the second half. Dont believe the other reviewers this is not a dating sim game. Yes you do have 3 routes that end in relationships if you get the true endings after 100 percenting the routes. But, there is no budding romances, no dating. You just end up being together. Not all girls have happy endings. Eriko the school nurse, a teacher, and news reporter all have bad endings no matter what. The game has been rewritten from the japanese version. So the game english text isnt true to the japanese game. If you know japanese words. You can hear certain words being said, but its not in the english text. There are times the text contradicts itself as well as says misinformation. Calling a male character a she instead of he. There are rewritten sjw stuff written that wasnt in the japanese version. 1 picture was censored for no reason. There are other scenes just like it or worse, but for some reason someone on the dev team decided to unlogically censor something just for the sake to do so. Symbols in the game have also been censored. Have been changed to investigation symbols. Ive been complaining to spike chunsoft to uncensor and fix the english text since i had come acrossed it. Please others need to do so too. Text and censorship need to be fixed.

Beautiful visual novel game that has a variety of different choices. I expect this game to become difficult to find in the future. Worth adding to any collection.

I'm not terribly far into this game but it has a decent story and nice art.

More mature themed game not for younger people. Beautifil artwork and story. Day one purchases get a Exclusive download code for a 8 bit action game based on this game. Switch only tho.

I was surprised by how engrossing I found this to be. This remake of an all-time classic more than lives up to the predecessor's legacy.

A great remake of a very intriguing classic visual novel. I believe any fan of the genre should play one of the versions of this game. New art is great.

This version is exactly like the PS4 counterpart. A great visual novel with an exclusive 8-bit game. Great for playing on the go when your away from the tv.

Saw the sale and decided to pick up and it’s an interesting novel adventure

This is a fantastic visual novel game. Also comes with a free download 8bit game similar in story line. I’d definitely recommend.

This is a very good visual novel with a good plot and extremely good music. The in game help functions prevent the hangovers of old visual novel systems from being a problem. The final plot arc is weak but the rest of it is excellent. Playthrough took around 50 hours to finish everything.

Excellent visual novel for the nintendo switch A+++

This is one of those instances were a classic in the genre had slipped by me and even though it's pretty niche, definitely one people who love visual novels or the original should be able to enjoy.

No for everyone, if you like weird visual novels then a must.

I'm not a fan of the new art style, but the story is good.

Good game if you like the visual novel type of games.
