Put this together myself. Suggest you read assembly directions to the end before turning a screw. Starter screw holes too small I used a nail to enlarge them. Also use a really good electric driver with 2/12 in extension. Took an hour and a half, needed help one time putting glass top on, had to dissassemble and reassemble two steps one time so that took 15 minutes. I am 68 and don't do sitting on floor and standing very well. I think for me I'll pay the assembly charge (125) next time. It is a beautiful desk when it is done, definitely worth $140 or more. Highly recommenb if you want a nice, clean, attractive 21st century look.

    Perfect For My Needs

I have been looking for a computer desk replacement for some time now. I had narrowed my search down to this particular model and finally decided to order it. I had made another purchase from Best Buy and the online transaction was very positive so, I decided that's where I would place my order for the new desk. The unit arrived in a timely manner. I found several punctures in the carton but came to realize that the unit was packed so well that there was no internal damage. I personally found the desk to be easy to assemble and the instructions were adequate without any confusion. I do like to check all the pieces to make sure they are there before I start any assembly as well and just do a quick walk-through of the assembly procedure before I begin. I was able to assemble the unit by myself and found all parts matched up well. The final product after assembly didn't disappoint either. I love the look of the dark wood, black and glass top combination. The advantage of the glass top for me is that my desk lamp is able to shine through to the keyboard tray and help illuminate the keys at night. The only drawback of the glass top is probably a little more maintenance to keep it clean but I don't mind the little bit of extra effort it takes. I like the full length keyboard tray which gives me ample room for my full sized keyboard, mouse and a notepad and pen to keep handy at the side as well. The one thing I will have to say is that after all these years of having the keyboard on top of the desk, there is some adjustment in having it lowered to the keyboard tray height. My personal "negative" is not really a negative at all....just an adjustment. The arms of my chair are not adjustable so that when I type now at this lower level, my arm/elbow space is a little more limited than it would be if I could lower the arms a bit. as the arm height is really set for a top of the desk position. I also love the black mesh cable management spine with its circular cable ports and the ability to tie down cords to the mesh and properly hide my cables. I have found the unit to be sturdy and over all it suits all of my needs. I think i will look for another purchase from Z-Line for a TV stand in a similar design of desk which should be a testament to show just how pleased I am with this unit.

I bought this computer desk as a larger replacement for my old one, and this fit the bill well enough. There's enough room for a tower, two monitors, a subwoofer, speakers, power generator, and a printer on all three shelves with room for other trinkets and whatnot. The layout works well, and the frame is sturdy enough to hold a fair amount of weight. Unfortunately with any "fake wood" surface, they have a tendency to start peeling at the edges, and scratch fairly easily. I've also had issues with the weight capabilities of the keyboard drawer, and have had to repair the sliders a few times now. It'll handle a keyboard and mouse fine, but the weight of an additional book or two will make it collapse. The problem lies with the way the drawer is supported, and the brackets will bow outwards if too much weight is applied, causing the drawer to fall. A brace in between the two supports would fix this issue. Overall it's a decent desk for the money, and has held up well in the year or so that I've been using it.

I was looking for a new computer desk and came across this desk in my search. From the moment I saw it I knew it was the one I had to have. It is stylish and functional. It fits right in with our décor wonderfully. After my husband put it together and placed it, then got my computer and printer placed I knew I had made the right choice. It has a large surface and my desk no longer looks like a mess with stuff piled everywhere. Best purchase I could have made!

First off all of the positive reviews were spot on. Although it took me two days to esemble the desk but that's because I am somewhat challenged when it comes to following directions. Neithless to say I was proud of myself. So great product, worth the price . And it looks good in my living room .

classy glass, that should say it all I love this desk.easy to put together,(My son did it.)But I was there telling him what to do. Just love it and I'm sure you will too. It is strong, no sway or tilt. and has everything in the right place. Push the extra long keyboard table in, roll the chair under the desk and there is lots of extra room in my room. Great for families and the student. I just love it.

Checked out the reviews before purchasing. It was a 50/50 situation. Best way to find out was to jump in. Instructions were simple to follow. If you're good at following directions, you should have no problem setting this up. Took about an hour to set up on my own. There were some complaints on the reviews about scratches, I did get some scratches but they were on the bottom part of the desk. They weren't much of a big deal considering, I'll be placing things on top and they will be covered. The rest of the desk had no scratches. Glass was flawless. So far, one of the best desks I've owned. I wish it came in all black but it was dark enough to blend in with the rest of my furniture.

Looks like it was made on a Friday

I was excited to finish off a remodeled room by assembling this and getting the room back in order. I got a huge surprise when EVERY single wooden panel is scratched and scuffed, not light scratches either. The kit has a total of 3 pressboard pieces that have a wood grain laminate covering, and 2 of them are so bad they look like they were thrown across the factory floor. Since the instructions say to call or email the manufacturer if any parts are missing or damaged I called the company this afternoon while at work. The conversation was short and the lady named Pilar was pleasant on the phone. She asked for my email and told me she was going to email me and in my reply I needed to include some info. ( My info, receipt, model number, what pieces are damaged, purchase date, store, etc.) I did exactly as she requested and shortly afterwards she emails me again, this time asking for pictures. Now keep in mind that I'm already aggravated at the fact that I am unable to finish the remodeled room until these replacement pieces arrive, and I spent an hour the night before cleaning bits of cheap styrofoam off my floor for nothing. Now I would need to wait until I got home to take the pictures, and since its Friday that would mean they wouldn't look at my pictures or ship my parts until Monday if I was lucky. Since I'm in New York and they're in California I'd probably end up waiting around 10 more days to get the replacement parts. Instead I'm going to return this junk to the store, and the pic she requested is here for your viewing. I won't upload pics of all the damage, because I'd be here for quite some time. If you order this go ahead and grab 2 just in case you get a product as poorly made as mine. I'm looking at a Bush or Sauder stand instead, since I never have had an issue with any of their ready to assemble furniture.

I've had this desk for a couple of months now and it holds up very well. The wood doesn't chip easy and the mirror level adds a nice touch. They only downside was in installing the wheels and keyboard section. No matter how hard I tried I was unable to make the pieces stay unless I used a battery operated drill.

Best feature--the wide pull-out keyboard tray

With our move to a new apartment, I no longer have a office room of my own. I needed a desk that would look good in the dining room. The glass top and mesh side and back panels give it an airy appearance. The openings in the back panel help to contain the inevitable jungle of cords. I like the extra shelf across the back. The best feature is the extra wide pull-out keyboard tray that enables me to also use it as a writing surface. The tray feels a little flimsy and "catches" a little on the left side, but it works. I bought the desk hoping for the best, in spite of reviews mentioning damage in transit or difficulty with assembly. The box was damaged, but the parts were all intact. There were assembly glitches, but the handy teenager helping me assemble it solved them all.

I love this desk! It is sturd and great to look at. I was able to put in together by my self in about an hour and a half or so. I used the top ledge for my monitors which gives me alot of spaace on the desk top. The openings in the back keep all the cords from being tangled up in your feet. The design of the bottom allows for the tower to be placed nicely, ive also placed my printer and modem/router down there as well.
