Best protector/keyboard there is…great Bluetooth capabilities/benefits…only thing that would make better is a built in screen protector

I am obsessed with my case! It definitely adds weight to my super-light iPad, but it makes me feel secure since it’s so durable. I haven’t dropped my iPad yet, so I can’t attest to the protection, but I feel safe! One reason it’s not a full 5-star is d/t the space bar and keyboard sometimes jamming; I end up clicking on the keys repeatedly sometimes. Make sure to check the battery life! Pros - a space for your ipencil if you have one - secure feel, great grip - easy to carry around - you can change the backlight colors of the keyboard Cons - bit heavy - keys can sometimes get stuck

I wanted a separate keyboard for a new iPad and a case that stayed open while typing on my lap, mimicking a laptop for less. The ZAGG is heavy but sturdy and the battery for the case hasn't had to be charged yet in over two years.

Choosing Between Two Very Good Keyboard Cases

So I was choosing between this and the Zagg Rugged Book. I’ve went with this one and have been using for about a week now. Here is what I like: 1. The rubberized texture exterior makes it easy to grab and prevent slipping while carrying. 2. The multi-articulated swivel is useful. I’ve been doing a lot of Zoom with family and friends so being able to move the iPad without moving the whole keyboard it nice 3. The keyboard response and feedback is solid and the backlights are a nice touch but I welcome use it. 4. It is slightly lighter with the iPad included than the Zagg Rugged Book 5. It is easier to open than the Rugged Book 6. It has already survived several drops due to children 7. Cheaper compared to the Rugged Book What I don’t like: 1. When not on a solid surface or tabletop, the keyboard is not enough to offset the weight of the tablet so sometimes it can fall backward. 2. Not detachable from the keyboard like the Rugged Book but I’m okay with that since I have another Zagg case and keyboard that is detachable 3. The rubberized exterior shows signs of fingerprints and other marks very easily. It is kind of difficult to clean smudges off 4. Just realized the rubber exterior is also easily scratched. 5. No app switcher key, which is not a big deal since it’s an easy swipe action. But the Zagg Rugged Book has the switcher key.

I LOVE this!! This is a good quality product and worth the money. I really like that I can completely detach the keyboard. The keyboard keys are very comfortable to use. The backlight for the keyboard is both fun and practical. With the latest 10.2 iPad inserted it’s at 2.8 lbs, but I prefer to carry this over a laptop. It was important for me to find a product that would hold my Apple Pencil on the inside. To me, the Pencil holder looks like it would be perfect for a 2nd generation but my 1st generation Pencil fits fine. The covers for the headphone jack and the lightening cable port are very stiff. I don’t use the headphone jack but it was a problem for the lightening cable. I didn’t like that the cable couldn’t go in straight and I didn’t want any parts bent so I just cut the cover off. It would be great if this product came in different colors. This product has taken my iPad to a whole new level and I can’t go back to using my tablet without it!

I’ve had this for about two years now. At the start, it works great. After repeated use, it begins to give out and can’t hold your ipad anymore. This has happened with the two of these I’ve owned. If your Ipad is too heavy and at an angle, it “snaps” and gives out. You can see this in the cracking where your Ipad is held. The rubber around the Ipad isn’t snug, and the area around the camera is broken. I use my Ipad for schoolwork, so it isn’t being used extremely harshly or anything. Overall, I rate it 3/5 stars since the problem with the “snap” has happened with both cases I’ve had. The keyboard still works fine after 2 years, and the battery life is great. This case has stuck with me for a while, but the “snap” that happens is honestly annoying, and knowing its not just this keyboard and that its happened on two of the same products makes me wonder if it happens to all of them too.

Haven’t had it long but it seems like a nice case. Heavy but offers good protection. Love that it stays open on it’s own. Has a slot that holds a iPad pencil but since I got one off Amazon it doesn’t fit tightly and can fall out when open. And a little on the pricey side. Hoping it lasts longer than the last Zagg case which only made it a year before the keys weren’t working right.

I really like this keyboard case. It’s Extremely sturdy. It’s on the heavy side, but i use my iPad mostly at home so it is not an issue. I also like that there is a slot that holds my i pencil. The keyboard is easily removed if you want to use the iPad without it. The iPad is still protected with the top cover. I would recommend. The keyboard does need to be charged, which is something I didn’t think about when I bought the case. The wire is included. I just charge it at the same time I’m charging the iPad.

The case IS very rugged and durable. I like the raised keys. I bought this for my husband who keeps dropping his IPad. But now, he keeps taking off the keyboard and using the ipad without it. To open the case, you have to SLOWLY open it, because if you open it quickly a crack noise happens and makes you think it broke!! It’s fine, tho. The area around the keys lights up in several colors for night use, but not real bright, very subtle. So the only thing that bothers me is the Crack sound from opening it. But otherwise, very rugged!

    Great Keyboard Case

I had to return the first one I bought. It had some keys which didn’t work correctly. The replacement has been flawless. I really like the protection it provides for my iPad. It’s a little heavy but that extra weight is due to all the rubber armor which protects the iPad if you happen to drop it. Another issue some have complained/commented about...if you don’t use the keyboard for a while, it will go to sleep. To start typing again, you have to first “wake it up”. I usually just hit the “Shift” key. That way, if it’s awake nothing will happen and if it’s asleep, it will wake up. This feature is there to extend the battery life, which is really good. Overall, this is the best keyboard/case solution for the iPad 10.2, iPad Pro 10.5 and iPad Air 10.5

Backlight on the keys works great. Multiple colors with the option to change brightness. Compared to the other keyboard cases of similar price it’s definitely more durable. Battery life on the keyboard is phenomenal and it’s recharged so no batteries to mess with.

I purchased this item for my iPad and it’s superb! It’s sturdy and the quality is exceptional. I highly recommend purchasing a screen protector for use with this product for your iPad. It’s just everything I needed in a keyboard and cover case. If you want a keyboard and case that actually works, this is the perfect product for you. The bluetooth connection is super easy and I am highly satisfied with my purchase!

Built like a tank, protects the my I Pad Pro 10.5 inch and even has a place for the apple pencil. Stiff hinge design (as opposed to the kickstand models) makes it easy to type with device on your lap, I take it everywhere. I now use my I Pad Pro more than the Macbook Pro for laptop typing. Long battery life on the keyboard is excellent. I would definitely buy again or recommend to a friend.

Overall it does what its designed to do. Everything works as it should. Backlit keys work nicely. Buttons are nice and crisp and the Bluetooth works very well, automatically connects as long as Bluetooth is selected on in IPad settings. The ONLY concern is how long the integrity of the rotating slot will hold up after extensive use. So far I used this case for a few months and have had little to no issues. The case itself seems to be meaty and rugged and should hold up to drops and bangs (haven’t dropped mine yet) but seems durable. The magnets that hold the IPad in place work fantastic also, it snaps in and stays in. Overall would recommend!

Extremely rugged and sturdy. It basically converts your iPad to a laptop! The iPad separates from the keyboard with just a firm pull to break the magnetic hold. The keyboard is backlit and u can change the colors. The only complaint is that there is no finger touchpad. Also, kind of pricey at $125 - would feel better paying up to $99. I would suggest buying a screen protector and installing it on the iPad before putting iPad into the Zagg case for the ultimate protection!

my ipad is older and so is my pencil so it doesn’t stick to my ipad or case magnetically. this case has been a godsend because i like to type on a keyboard but my daughter likes to drop my ipad and lose the pencil. all of my problems are remedied with this case. it’s really sturdy, stands the ipad up. can be used when detached from the keyboard, the charge lasts a long time, and it holds my pencil.

This case was purchased for my husband's Christmas/Birthday gift to be used on an IPAD Air gen 3. It most diffidently is sturdy. It is also a little weighty but that is no problem for him. For myself, I would look at a lighter weight case. It's openings fit well around the camera, power port, and volumn controls. I love the raised keyboard and the backlight. Has a space for an AIR pencil which we do not have. My only concern is that it is difficult to cut the IPAD on and off, the plastic of the case is so hard. The volume control buttons work fine. All in all, this is a great case for someone who is hard on the devices. I think it could be used in the military. For my husband, I would buy it again.

This case is exactly what I have been searching for. It is extremely durable and I love the keyboard. It feels like you're typing on a real full sized keyboard. The one thing to be aware of is the weight it will add to your iPad. For something this durable that is definitely a trade off.
