This iPad screen protector has a moire pattern and slight rainbow color project from it depending how the light hits it. I wish I had my money back. I ripped off the cover just one hour after paying the Geek Squad to install it and bought a competitor iPad screen protector. That's what I get from not checking the reviews for this ZAGG Smudge-Proof InvisibleSHIELD. DO NOT BUY THIS UNLESS YOU WANT TO WASTE YOUR MONEY.

As others have stated, it makes the screen grainy and hard to read text. It actually gives me a headache to try to read anything. Go for the clear one and NOT this anti glare screen protector!

Good product but pricy and not easy to put on. Had to take it back to the store to have it put on (there was a fee for this).

I wasted my $30 rewards certificate on this stupid product. I don't understand why Best Buy is still selling this product. I saw too many negative feedbacks but unfortunately I should have seen them before I decided to go and get this product and pay someone in the store to install it as well. It ruined the beautiful ipad2 screen. Very grainy and ugly. Please don't ever buy this product. I wasted my $30 rewards which i could have used it on something more useful.

really expensive screen protector

This thing, aside from being overpriced, was not very easy to put on. It had a couple of weird lines on it that I thought would go away once it was installed. well.... they're still there. It's pretty akward to put on with the liquid goo they give you, and trying to not get your fingerprints on it during installation is nearly impossible. It also makes the screen a bit darker than I'd like. I guess it protects the screen just fine but as far as value for price? I'm just not convinced.

Even a Zagg fan will hate this one!

I have Invisibleshields on all of my family's wireless devices and tell anyone that asks that they SHOULD get one to protect theirs. That being said, this anti-glare/-smudge product is a disaster. Not only is it thick and bulky, it's far from Invisible and drastically distorts the screen color and clarity. I'll take some glare and finger prints any day over this!

Not as bad as everyone says

This smudgeproof screen protector really isn't as bad as everyone says....My friend has the original ZAGG on his ipad 2, which I used for a little while. When I got my ipad 2, he put the smudge proof, non-glare version on mine. I was a little disappointed at the lack of clarity with the smudge proof version....only for the first day or so. Once I got used to it, I actually don't mind. I can use my ipad anywhere....inside, outside, in the car and still see my screen. His ipad, on the otherhand, is rendered completely useless anywhere but indoors. He's taking his original screen protector off and putting on the ZAGG smudge proof non-glare version. I think it's important to use the Geek Squad to put it on so that you get the best possible application, this will minimize the clarity issue that some experienced when attempting a self install. And give it a couple of days before you tear it off....I does take a little bit of getting used to, and you do lose some of the exceptional graphic quality of the ipad 2, but at least you can use it......what good are graphics that you can't see?????

Do not buy - awful screen quality

This completely ruins the appearance of the IPAD 2 screen. I contacted ZAGG and they told me that in order to have the anti-glare feature you sacrifice some quality. I don't need anti-glare capabilities that badly. This is horrible. Best Buy did give me a refund though so I can't feel that badly about it.

DON'T BUY. Get A Protector without Solvent
Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
The installation is very cumbersome.
The internal liquid container was leaking and empty when I opened the box. I couldn't manage to apply the liquid to the back of the screen protector. It's very very sticky and you can't do anything with it if you don't have the associated solvent.
I threw the whole thing away. Wasted money. Don't buy it. Get a dry protector screen instead without solvent.
The screen protector was of excellent quality though.

AWFUL! RUINS iPad viewing quality!

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!! I looked around online, did my homework and read reviews. I, purposely, went on the Best Buy website, printed out the ZAGG CLEAR InvisibleSHIELD with the picture, model number, price, etc, gave it along with my iPad 2 to my husband to take to Best Buy yesterday. The salesman told my husband, "Don't get that one. For a few dollars more, you can get the Smudge-Proof and is much better quality." That salesman was WRONG!!! My husband even paid extra to have him install it for me! I haven't been able to use my iPad since! The viewing quality is extremely grainy and even blurry! After a couple minutes of trying to use my iPad, my eyes started hurting and had a huge headache! I wanted to take the ZAGG shield off, but my husband said to wait, and take it back to Best Buy to see if they will exchange it for the one I originally wanted. If Best Buy won't exchange it tomorrow, I will have no choice but to take it off and throw it away! I would rather have no screen protector than not be able to enjoy my iPAD!!

It did not say it was anti-glare, and it makes the screen so grainy it gets hard to read until you zoom the image -- fortunately, that isn't too complicated to do on the iPad, but it's annoying anyways, and it makes the quality appear to be lower on anything you see on screen.

I think it is great for protecting my IPad

I have actually purchased 2 screen protector and both this one for my IPad and the one for my Nook do a great job protecting my equipment but they cut the clarity of the screen so much it is a big draw back. The nook and IPad new generation are both known for their screen clarity and quality of picture. With this protector you don't get that level of quality any more. It is great for protection but that protection comes at a cost in quality of pictures and screen

Wish I would have researched this before I bought it. With the high resolution screen for the new ipad, this makes it horrible. makes it look super grainy. If it wasnt so dang expensive, I would take it off.

BB rep recommended this durable screen protector. It is certainly durable, but the anti-glare just ruins the Ipad picture quality. The shield turns the picture extremely coarse and granular. Zagg won't take it back (only replace it)...why bother. Best Buy won't take it back either...they say call Zagg becuase it is already opened.
BB did finally come through with a coupon, but it took about 30minutes on the phone with corporate.

This was a gift for my wife's new I pad 2. It came recommended by the Best Buy sales staff. In looking at the product it seemed like a good idea. However when my wife went to put it on it is very difficult. First you have to spray both sides of the screen and your hands with a liquid substance. Then it takes an extremely steady hand to get it on just right. It took several tries to get it aligned. Once it was on it has a very grainy feel and takes away from the quality of the I pad's display.
If you plan on being rough with your I pad then this is still for you. Otherwise not worth the price.

Pixelated display

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
One of the reasons I bought the New iPad was because of the upgrade in the display. The crispness is amazing. But when I put the smudge-proof zagg invisable shield on it the screen looked like I had down graded it drastically. The picture quality looked pixelated in that there was a distortion after applying the shield. I had gotten the smudge-proof shield because I didn't want a lot of fingerprints and I would much rather have finger prints than have to sacrifice my picture quality.

Be ready to spend a few minutes on this project and it would greatly help to have two people, one aligning and laying down the shield while the other sprays the solution while smoothing it down. If you mess up, just pull it off, respray the solution on the shield and begin again. We took several tries but finally achieved a great fit. Very happy with the outcome.

I Threw It Away in 10 Minutes

Bought this to put on a brand-new iPad 2. Followed instructions to the letter, laid it on, and had a sea of bubbles on the screen. Squeege did nothing. Carefully took it off, reapplied even more carefully, and same result. Threw it away shortly after.
I bought a Trent Fimir screen protector. Was absolutely satisfied within 30 seconds of installation.
Avoid the Zagg.

This was such a disappointment. It makes the screen look blurry, and it is definitely not smudge proof. I would highly discourage purchasing this product.
