Customers are saying

Customers appreciate the ZAGGfolio Keyboard Case for its high-quality keyboard, ease of use, and excellent protection for their iPad. Many also praise the lightweight design, great battery life, and perfect fit for the iPad Air. However, some users experienced connection issues and problems with the hinge. Overall, the positive feedback on the keyboard and protective qualities outweighs the reported issues.

    Too flimsy!

This iPad case is a bit more flimsy than I thought! I would think that a case at $80+ would be a bit more durable, but when I tried it on my iPad Air, it just doesn't feel secure. The top side of the case which holds the iPad itself is not made well.

I only gave this 4 stars because I give 5 stars to the backlt keybard version of the same product! I love the shortcut keys and use them all the time: Return to Desktop, Volume Up, Volume Down, Mute Voume, Cut, Paste and more. It is thin, lightweight, sturdy and very easy to carry. It does a great job of protecting your iPad Air. Forget typing on a hard iPad screen. Just get one of these!

The case is strong and very functional. I sometimes can't get it to connect to my iPad and I was disappointed that it only opens enough to type and not to use the iPad for apps/games (I ordered it online and couldn't tell from the pictures). But it does what I wanted it to do. It's very easy to type on and makes it easy to navigate.

This is my third Zagg case. I love the design, function and keyboard, however, I've had to replace it twice as the hinge breaks apart. Each case has lasted appx 6 months. I would recommend the warranty so you can have it replaced if there is an issue such as I've had. If the hinge issue could be corrected I would definitely give this a five star rating.

This is my second Zagg case and I really like it. It is strong for holding up your ipad and the keyboard is responsive. Sometimes you can get a double letter when typing, generally its perfect. My only negative for this model over the previous model is that it no longer has back lit keys. This is quite short sighted as it was a great feature for using the keyboard when everyone else is watching TV and the lights are low, it was also great for using on airplanes. I miss this!! Other wise I love the colour and its easy to use and even easier to set up. so pleased with it, I am buying one for my sister.

Bought for IPad Air. Pluses: Case connects via bluetooth, so no wires to mess with. Snug fit on ipad and doesn't add as much bulk as I thought it would. Easy to open and close and pop out ipad when I want to use without keyboard. Minuses: Bluetooth connection is buggy. Have to "forget device" and re -pair every few days which is not ideal. Sometimes a restart of one or both of the devices takes care of the problem. Expected it to hold connection longer. Takes getting used to combination of keyboard and touch screen without the mouse but all in all a positive experience. Nice add on if you do a lot of typing.

Our prior iPad keyboard case broke and we bought the Zagg folio model. I hesitated at first because I thought it was pricey but it is worth it. My tablet fits in it perfectly and it looks very sleek. This one opens up like a laptop -- it does not bend back on itself like my last model. I also feel it protects my table better. Hope my next Apple tablet fits in this case!

I got the white and silver one so I could see the keys clearly and I love it. It really is very easy to use, good weight, and I feel it protects my iPad Air really well and it looks great. The only problem with it is that I have to reboot the Bluetooth from time to time to keep it connected. That's the only reason I didn't give it a 5 star. Feels great and much easier for me to use than my laptop and printer works with it so, I'm all set.

I purchased this to better use my iPad for taking notes in class. It's very light and fits securely. You sometimes have to reconnect it if your iPad goes to sleep but that's a quick fix. The keyboard is very easy to type on.

I had a MAC Book Pro that broke and needed to get my term papers completed. My bank account was completely depleted due to shopping for the holiday. So I purchased this baby and have not looked back since. It's simple and easy to use, nice keyboard and simple for a teenager to. My 16 year old son even uses it now over using his laptop.

I purchased this keyboard case for the Ipad Air. The keyboard worked great, but closing and opening the case was very awkward, in that it was hard to close and open. After reading others' reviews, I decided to return it for fear of breaking the plastic hinge. Too, in the meantime, I had found a clearanced case that fit my needs perfectly.

Having the keyboard with a convenient on/off switch is great! iPad popped right in and I was able to begin using immediately. Case it sturdy but not heavy. Rose color is very pretty with a slight gold shimmer. Not flashy but elegant and professional.

Travels well with me between classes at my job. Easy to carry in hand or in a bag, then onto my lap or desktop for use. Keyboard is convenient and comfortable. Only a brief delay, once in a while, if it's been asleep -sometimes the keyboard is a stroke or two behind the curser.

I picked this because it was cheaper than the others, and I wasn't disappointed. It's very sturdy and protects against breaking or scratching. It is a process to get it connected to your Bluetooth after not using it for a day or two, but it takes maybe 3 extra minutes.

I love the Zagg. Its light and slim with great quick keys to help navigate the touchscreen from the keyboard. It works great as a stand, and protects the ipad well. The keyboard is not backlit, but that alllows the battery to last forever, three months according to the manual.

    Turns iPad into mini-computer

The Zagg case has a solid feel and the keyboard is very responsive to touch. It almost seems as if I'm typing my e-mails on a mini-computer. The only downside is that the Bluetooth connection has to be re-established almost every time I use the keyboard. Once paired to your iPad, the Zagg is supposed to stay connected, but mine doesn't. However, the case holds the charge for two months or more, so I don't have to constantly re-charge it and it only takes a minute to re-establish the Bluetooth connection. One thing to watch out for: the case is made exactly to the specifications of your particular iPad model. The iPad Air case will be too big for the newer iPad Air 2.

Overall I really like this keyboard. It's as easy as using a standard laptop keyboard. The only issue I've encountered is a sporadic inability to easily pair to my iPad. I have to turn the iPad totally off and then re-pair.

First, I paid around $80 for this at best buy. The associate talked me into it, but failed to mention that it works for iPad 1 only, not iPad 2. It fits in the casing which is deceptive, but the buttons do not align with the holes correctly. It technically works, but I have problems with 2 of the buttons sticking and repeating characters. The battery saving feature is nice. You have to hit the space bar 3x to have the keyboard be recognized by the ipad instead of the on screen one. Case feature is very robust though and protects the ipad well. I wish I could have returned it, but I broke my leg and can't get back to the store.

Using the onscreen touch keyboard on the iPad for any length of time can be annoying, especially for those who can type. This keyboard addresses that by allowing the iPad to work more like a laptop. You must be willing to accept a bit more weight and thickness which is not too bad. Other alternatives can be thinner but keyboard don't feel as good. The annoying "feature" is that it does not stay wirelessly connected (sometimes you open the cover to find it doesn't work but settings says its "connected"). Turning off Bluetooth then back on, reconnecting and playing a bit does reconnect it.
