I don't know much about cameras or photography, but for beginners like myself is the best handheld stabilizer I could buy and try at the same time, I really recommend it if you trying to buy an stabilizer and you are not sure what to get for your kind of camera, mine is a CANON EOS REBEL SL1, and works just perfect.

This is without a doubt an improvement over its predecessor, the build quality, battery life and how much easier it is to balance this one makes it a keeper. The size increase is a welcomed plus in my opinion I believe the added weight helps me get slightly more stable footage without giving me arm fatigue. I do wish they took a page out of ronins book and kept the motor out of the way of the screen, thats an issue from time to time for we Sony shooters, but all in all I think its a great addition to my arsenal and I'm mostly pleased with my purchase.

I rented this gimbal for a video shoot on a boat... I wasn't sure how it was going to do with all of the rocking back-and-forth but it produced insanely smooth video footage. I was so impressed I decided to buy my own! If you have a heavier camera/lens combo this is a wonderful gimbal choice with tons of features (if you have a lighter camera you might be better off with a cheaper gimbal option). One more thing to keep in mind - the gimbal has some great camera control features, but check Zhiyun's website for details to make sure you know what will and won't work with your camera (for example, with my Panasonic G7 I can start/stop recording from the gimbal but not control focus).

The Crane 2 is very practical and easy to use once you get a little practice under your belt. It provides smooth footage for mirrorless cameras that I use like the XT-3 and the A73. I was surprised that it was able to work with bigger GM lenses from Sony which was pretty sweet.

Really enjoyed this gimbal. The fact that it comes with a follow focus and motor really makes it worth the buy. Getting some really smooth footage and cool shots.

I love this thing so far. The build quality is fantastic and it works great with my Sony A7 III. The only down side is that camera control features are limited with Sony. There are some hacks to set it up using a diff cable (included) and selecting Canon. This gets you some camera controls but with sacrificing ability to take both pics AND video using the buttons. When plugging in your Sony camera, I can't get the gimbal to stop charging the camera. I turned off setting in Camera (usb power), but the camera still drains the gimbal battery.

    Not worth it for Nikon

In some ways the Crane 2 is impressive for the price. However, I couldn't get several of the features to work with either my Nikon D500 or D850. Also, you need the App to full adjust the Crane 2, but I couldn't find it in the Google Play store. When I downloaded it from the Zhiyun website, I got warnings about it being unsafe. I still installed it on a spare phone and it worked, though there were still imitations with my Nikons. While I did get the basic functions working, it would occasionally stop working, letting the camera drop down. No damage was done and it could have been something I was doing wrong. Also, the way it is designed, you can't see the screen on the camera. I have an external monitor, so this wasn't a deal killer for me, but it was annoying. Given all of the problems, I finally decided the Crane 2 wasn't worth it for me and returned it. If you have a Canon, and don't mind the other issues, you may have better luck.

I had heard a lot about gimbals but I didn't actually pay attention to them until I chance on some videos on youtube which convinced me to give the Crane 2 a trial and all I can say is, I wish I had goten this years ago. This difference is night and day and the Crane 2 has powerful motors enough to operate all Mirrorless and DSLR cameras.

The Crane 2 has been a wonderful travel gimbal and I purchased it on the bestbuy deal of the day for $550. As a Ronin and Movi operation I can be a little skeptical about these handheld gimbals but for the size it really holds its own. Like I mentioned I purchased it discounted for $550 but if I were to pay regular retail value would probably opt for the Ronin S

    Great Gimbal for the Price

The Zhiyun Crane Two is exactly what I needed for making the type of videos I create. I make videos in more of the cinematic style so the ability to get crisp stable shots is huge for me. The only thing I would recommend is that you have a heavier camera. I started off with the Canon T5 with a cheap nifty fifty on there. The gimbal is made for heavier gimbals so I feel as though it would be more comfortable with a heavier camera mounted on there.

I sold my ronin m to get this after going to several shoots and feeling like taking the ronin was just too bulky to lug around. The batteryife is great, the tripod bottom is so convenient on location omg. I recommend this to anyone who's a serious shooter.

It’s a very good gimbal, but if your camera is too light, you will not be able to use it. It is also VERY large, so if you have a smaller camera I would recommend a smaller gimbal. But that is all my fault as the consumer for not doing my research. If you have a heavier camera, you will enjoy this gimbal.

Strong, consistent and easy to use. The best for Canon with its remote operation of focus. Tripod legs on bottom loosens up but not a big deal to maintain it like any other piece of heavily used equipment, tighten up with a wrench and back to work for a few more months. No electrical problems ever.

Awesome gimbal and a great pickup for my cinematic videos or even as a simple tripod that can rotate. Always handles my Sony A7sii with a huge lens and the follow focus is good but I never really have needed it much. I’d use a rig with a legit one but it def works!

Well built three axix gimbal perfect for pan and tilt movements for stable cinematic quality filming. You do need YouTube tutorials for proper balancing, calibration and use, since the maufacturer instructions are quite inadequate.
