I purchased this item hoping to use it with my Canon EOS 6D. It took a minute to figure out the balancing, and even more minutes to figure out the hand controls. There are a lot of youtube videos on this, so it isn't a huge detractor. My camera is fairly large, it's a full frame camera, and I have a heavy lens. There were times the gimble would have to work really hard to keep up with it. It was noticeable with vibration in the hand. When it wasn't struggling to keep up with the weight, it did work very well on smoothing out the shots I took. I will also say the quality of the product is excellent. My intention when purchasing this item was to use it when my Wife and I go on vacation to make some videos about our travels. However, once I received it, I realized this wasn't an item I would want to pack with us. Pros: Quality Fairly easy to set up. Tons of videos on usage as well as tips and tricks. Cons: weight. size. Overall this is a good product with a lot of features. If you have a lot of space and a smaller camera, this product should work very well for you. It does have a learning curve on the controls, but as I stated before there are a ton of videos on how to use it.

    Awesome gimbal!

I was leaning towards getting a DJI Osmo but since I already owned DSLR cameras and since they do better in lowlight settings, I took the plunge on the Crane v2. I owned a previous "stabilizer" that was a pain to get balance, but the Zhiyun Crane v2 made balancing as simple as mounting and pushing a button. Would buy this 100 times over. It takes a little getting used to but it is an awesome device. Have used it already a few times on shoots and look forward to mastering my skills with it.

I use this primarily with my Sony A7iii, and I’ve customized it to fit my needs. My only wish would be for it to hold heavier weights. I still recommend it.

    Good, Not Great

Buyer Beware that this gimbal malfunctions as the camera mounting plate was designed to large. The plate physically hits and damages the motor assembly. This is a poor design and will damage your gimbal when using it. I have contacted Zhiyun through FB Support and they ignore the problem and demand videos, photos, etc., but this issue is well documented online with their support and they are well aware of it. Otherwise, the product does function good and does provide stable video....just be aware that you will incur damage from its own poor product design. I have yet to resolve this issue with them, so support is not great either.

I have a canon 77D with lens 50mm 1.4 And this product works fine but I can see little bit of struggle. I think it doesn’t have enough power to handle my equipment. The price is very good! I already try, and I like it!

Was looking for a gimbal for my Canon 70D that was well built, had all the right functions and great battery life, and affordable. This product nails it. The gimbal feels sturdy, the joystick on the back of the handle and shooting modes are great, and the battery life is 10-12 hours. I've read so many reviews on comparable products and this one is perfectly priced.

As a cinematography & video production professional, 3-axis motorized gimbal systems are a must. After purchasing the big, Hollywood-esque DJI Ronin, I loved having the smooth stability for my Sony mirrorless DSLR cams, but the Ronin has a pretty technical and involved setup process. The Crane, however, was simple and easy to balance within minutes. I recommend the crossbar accessory, which adds a more comfortable grip and is easier to use for longer periods of time. I also got the Sony cable, allowing my Crane to interface with the camera, giving the user the ability to shoot photo, video, and even zoom directly from the Crane. Sweet product. Strong motors, great case.

This product is everything you think that it is. Smooth, easy to use and quick to balance. However you will need to put it on a tripod to balance. It is hard to balance on a table because there is nothing to make the stabilizer stand alone while you balance it. Other than this which yeah can be minor it was a great product and I would recommend it.

I like the gimbal. I do wish I waited for the Zhiyun Crane 2 because it can hold more weight. However, it's really easy to use and does a great job stabilizing shots.

I used the Crane 3-Axis Handheld Gimbal Stabilizer with a Sony camcorder, even though the product reviews did not specifically recommended it for this type of equipment. Setup was super easy following the directions. After initial setup no more adjustments needed. It worked perfectly fine with the camcorder. The use of the joystick requires a little bit practice, other than that great purchase. I am using it for technical videos of our companies manufacturing equipment.

I traveled with this in Colorado and shot with my sonya6300. We explored so many places from the Sand Dunes to Seven Falls. The videos came out amazing and I don't have to worry about shaky videos ever again. The material is sturdy, the battery life is great, and once you have practiced balancing it, using it gets easier over time. This is absolutely one of my best investments and I recommend this product to anyone who wants to start taking great videos to create montages or even vlogging purposes.

Hands down the best stabilizer in this price range I've used. Easy to setup on my Sony A7, funny enough I had a harder time stabilizing my Canon 7d mk ii but once it was stable works great for both cameras and provides some of the smoothest motions. Easy to use especially when walking or moving quickly. The carrying case is really nice and a huge plus also.

I use a Sony A7SII with a prime lens and this gimbal is barely able to handle its size. I would recommend it for a smaller camera then the A7SII. Do not push the weight limit and it should be fine.

The Gimbal is great quality, and well designed. Very happy with the smoothness and options when it comes to using this gimbal first any videos. I wouldn’t say I am a complete beginner, having done more photography, and just starting to do more filming, you’re first few times breaking this thing out can leave you a bit puzzled. The initial setup and balancing had a little bit of a learning curve, but with all the tutorials on YouTube, with a little effort you’ll be able to figure it out. Just didn’t want anyone to thing you can open the box, slap your camera on, and go.

I’ve used this with the Panasonic GH5 and have been quite happy with it. It’s small size is great and the results are very good. It comes woth a wonderful hard case. I use it with the 12-35 native panasonic lens and have used it woth the 12 mm as well. The only downside is trying to find a way to transport it assembled — still searching for a solution. Also, it can get a little heavy but has to have a minimal load (no mic or heavier mic). I have had success with using a tripod plate to speed setup time. Overall, a really good purchase.

Very nice gimbal, strong, works smooth with the new improvements, I like it very much, the case is nice and the kit includes all cables you'll need for Panasonic, Sony and Canon, and legs base, I am really pleased, it worth every dollar I spent on this gimbal.

Zhiyun knows quality. This is the professional stabilizer my brother and I use often for our Youtube film production “Neverhaveenough” to get some smooth moving cinematic shots. Pricey but all so worth it if you take filming seriously or have the money to spend!

Great quality build and smooth footage, BUT difficult to setup & balance! I hate how I have to balance it every time I need to use it for a project... it's not a plug & play product. It supports my Sony a6000 and Sigma 16/1.4 lens and lightweight lenses nicely. I haven't tried my Sony a7iii yet due to that setup being slightly heavier.
