The blade stuck to the bread & was very difficult to get out. The basic white bread looked ok but was not tasty like home kneaded white bread. Would like to return but not sure due to Covid-19.

    Gluten Free...

I received my Zojirushi Mini last week and couldn't wait to try it this weekend. I have a gluten intolerance and know that bread can be very tricky, even in a bread machine. Having done some research online, I used a packaged bread mix (used half the package and listed ingredients as it was sized for a 2lb machine), and used the "Quick" setting (to avoid the second rise/mix). At first I was a bit concerned as it appeared the dough was not rising, but by the time it was finished baking it had risen perfectly. Using the machine couldn't have been easier. It came with printed instructions as well as an instructional DVD. And, the resulting bread was so much better than any of the store-bought gluten free breads I've tried, both in flavor and texture!

Great for Couples and Small Families

This machine is phenomenal. It produces loaves that are about 1 pound, so they're perfect for couples, singles and small families. It's super easy to use and the instruction manual comes full of recipes. Very easy to use and its small size (and handle) makes it easy to store. It costs a little more than others but it works like a charm and is worth every penny.

    Expensive & Disappointing

I purchased this model because of its smaller size. The loaves it bakes are great for 1 or 2 people. The first few loaves came out well baked with a golden color all around. However every loaf since has either not risen adequately or has completely caved in. I am an experienced baker both from scratch and using a bread machine so this has been a disappointing and expensive experience. I only use fresh ingredients & yeast and no one is opening the lid so I'm not sure what's going wrong. I've had better and more consistent results using my 2 thrift store machines from West Bend and Regal for a fraction of the cost of this Zojirushi model. I purchased this machine during the pandemic and now just over a year later it's sitting on a shelf in my basement as it's just too frustrating to use. For the price they could also throw in a metal hook to remove the kneading paddle from the finished loaf, it's extremely difficult to remove without damaging the paddle.

Great Little Machine...wish it had been cheaper

Never made bread before, but this was a nice surprise to make & bake Easy. Will be trying other recipes aside from the enclosed book. Bread freshness is good (no preservatives), but when not for sandwiches, make french toast! Watching the process makes me not so intimidated to try bread from scratch, only machine makes it quicker & less labor! Yippee - perfect for On The Go career folks!
