A fun Mecha game by Kojima!

This game originally came out for the Playstation 2. The guy that designed this game is Hideo Kojima. He is most famous for the Metal Gear Solid series of games. This game is the second in the Z.O.E. series. And is more polished than the first. I love the anime inspired graphics and cut scenes. The controls are easy to learn. The game is a short one. It will take most players about 5 to 6 hours to complete. If you like mech games and anime you might like this game. And this game is selling for a good price too. It goes for less than 20 dollars.

I actually bought the original ZOE for ps2 because the concept of an action mech game was a dream and not for the MGS2 demo though it was a bonus since im a fan as well. The ps3 hd remake was poorly made and even after multiple updates it wasnt what fans of the series deserved. Now this ZOE2 ps4 is a true remaster with trophies and vr support. i didnt try VR and honestly i dont care for it but im here to say you can play the whole game in regular HD/4K and its gorgeous and runs smoothly! I bought this instead of Spiderman...so im a nut but a happy one

A hidden gem

Zone of the Enders is one of those hidden jewels when I find myself asking people if they played it, they respond by giving me a funny look and saying, zone of the who? By this time, if you have not heard of it, you most likely never will. Surprisingly for a 2003 game, it was way ahead of its time and has actually aged fantastically well. This only features the second game, and while the first game was still fun, it seemed more like a tech demo. The Second Runner is all you really need and has stepped up everything 10 fold.
The game is the same but with a few added features, such as the optional "Pro Mode" controller setup, which allows for faster selection of sub-weapons, a very easy setting, additional VR content, 3D Hangar and Model Viewer, cinematic theater to re-watch any story sequence, better graphics with 4K resolution and a remastered audio for surround sound systems. It is also worth noting that the frame rate is solid with time around.
There is not much I am going to say about this game, considering how easy it is to find gameplay footage and reviews from older versions. What I will say to those who may have never played it is that the majority of the battles are fast paced and hectic and can be overwhelming on higher difficulty settings. There is a high learning curve and its better to start on lower settings and work your way up. More moves and abilities become available as you progress.

I absolutely love Zone of the Enders - The 2nd Runner. I loved it on PlayStation 2. It was alright in the HD collection. This version is just great.
1. On a 4k TV with a PS4 Pro, this game is sharp! It looks great even though it doesn't stray from the original design.
2. The VR option is really cool. It's very interesting to play one of my favorites from a new perspective.
That said, this is a weird game. Long, preachy cutscenes and a protagonist named Dingo. If you are into this kind of game, your in for a treat.

I've been wanting to play a Mech game with fast-paced action and this game delivered. While I haven't used the VR function, the game itself is very fast-paced with thrilling boss fights and a story to boot. This is a good chance to revisit the sequel to the story from the first PS2 game.

I played these games back in the day on Playstation 2, now they are back out with refreshed visuals and vr support. It's an excellent space adventure in a giant robot suit.

Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner M∀RS is a solid remaster that fans of the original shouldn’t hesitate to pick up. Having said that, the game hasn’t aged all that well. Combat can quickly get repetitive, and new abilities are hardly used before another new one comes along. Top it all off with a campaign that only takes 6-10 hours to complete, new players may wonder what all the fuss was about when the original released (especially with the script’s hilariously bad translation). Still, this release is the most complete version of Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner to date.

Amazing to see this return out of nowhere, I won't complain at all since it's still one of the best mech-related games I have ever had the chance to play.
The controls, in general, are so fluid and fun, imagine a hack n slash with tons of free movement controls for you to go anywhere and everywhere. Personally didn't get into the story and never really remember it but I do remember the experience of playing it and it was top notch.

A prettier version of one of my favorite ps2 games. Not sure what to say besides te game is the same as ps2 but smother. Definitely worth the time to play.
It has a better frame rate than the ps3 remaster.
Wish it came with the first game like the ps3 remaster.
Short game so make sure to get it on sale so you feel like you get your money's worth.

I never played this on PS3 but always wanted to. When I saw it was coming out on PS4 I had to give it a try and let me tell you, I’m glad I did! This game is amazing. All the flight and weapons mechanics are top notch and the level designs are very cool. I literally played this game from the time I woke up till I was nodding off when it was time to go to sleep. Very fun and addictive gameplay. Highly recommended!

It’s been a long time since Konami made something worth owning after Kojima left. Here is a surprise title from the PS2 era - Zone of the Enders. Mech action is back and it’s much better than Namco’s Gundam. It can feel less but but that’s when you strap on that VR headset and get immersed in battle. Good job Konami.
