Pricy and a self-correcting glitch, but Full Marks

I wanted a no-fuss well-built mouse to fit my fairly large hand and respond with precision and predictability. I got it. The side buttons at first did not respond, but they started working after maybe an hour, I'm glad it was before I could get around to returning it because it's been exactly what I paid that much for ever since, in heavy use. No gewgaws, nice heft, not so much a solid feel as a unitary one -- cheap hardware feels like parts that have been assembled, this feels like it's all one thing. That's not common, and I feel safe expecting this to last many years. Color me Very Satisfied.

I purchased this mouse to replace my Corsair Vengeance M65 which was starting to have left click issues. Mouse feels just right, big enough to hold comfortably, and light enough to use for extended periods. The mouse is covered in what feels like a moisture repellent material which helps with the grip. Buttons feel responsive, and do not feel spongy or difficult to press. Performs well in the few games I have tried. Overall a well built mouse.

A worthwhile successor to Intellimouse Explorer 3

With only 400 dpi and a low default polling rate, the Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 is a bit of a hassle to use in Windows and modern games at today's high screen resolutions, so I needed an upgrade. The Zowie EC1-A is everything one could want from a gaming mouse: It's design is heavily inspired by Intellimouse 3.0, it has firm microswitches with an audible click, the sensor is top notch, it's light, and it doesn't come with any nonsense like weights, macro buttons, a braided cable that gets stuck on things, or even drivers. Just plug this mouse in and it's ready to go. The bottom has a button to switch between four dpi settings (the wheel changes color depending on the dpi) , and the polling rate and lod can be changed by holding certain buttons when plugging the mouse in. If you love the simplicity of the classic Intellimouse Explorer 3.0, then this is the mouse to get.

I play a lot of games, but Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is my main game. I previously owned a Razer Deathadder, which I had for over 5 years, but then it began to fail so I bought the new Razer Deathadder Elite, which failed in less that 6 months of use. I decided to try out a different mouse, and after a little research, I decided to give the Zowie EC1-A a go. If you've ever used a Razer Deathadder, this mouse is very similar in shape. The overall design is well done, feels durable and is comfortable in hand. The only complaint I can really think of, which certainly isn't a deal breaker, is that mouse 4 and mouse 5 (The buttons of the side of the mouse) need to be pushed in a little more than I'm used to before they'll actuate. It's not a huge deal, but it's something to be aware of. Overall, this is a fantastic mouse if you play shooters, MMO's, MOBA's, whatever you may fancy.

    Customer support, Scroll wheel

Zowie mice have defective scroll wheels.

I saw a few reviews of the ec1a mouse on youtube and i decided to purchase this mouse. When I received this mouse I noticed that when I would scroll upwards the webpage would scroll down. So I googled it to see if maybe there was a fix but apparently this has happened to several hundred people over many years. Every forum I read consumers of this product state that all scroll wheels on this mice are bad wich i find odd because they advertise these products for e-Sports. Dont buy their mice unless you dont care about your scroll wheel working properly. Im giving it one star because Zowies customer support is bad and they have had this problem for many years. A product like this is not worth the price.
