The phone is great but with fixes.
-Screen is great.
-Hard to find Temper Glass Protector fit due to the curve.
-The design makes it great to hold the phone.
-Finger print senor location is great because it is right at the finger when you hold it, but.... what if you just want to unlock it when it is on the table?
-Phone is fast, SD820 is good.
-Normally it is using 3GB to 3.5GB Ram, not bad for the ram management.
-The Speak is cool. If you like sounds, classical, or voices, it is great. Don't expect much about HARD rock due to missing Bass. Still Good.
-Camera..... This is not that great. I consider this as the deal breaker. Oneplus 3 is far better than this camera performance. BAD. Especially in Low LIght. very bad.
-GPS is alright, but a little weaker. Even my 2yrs old Oneplus 1 is better. Sometime I will be inside the building while driving down a road. Funny~~~~
-Battery is not bad. Holds on better than I expected.
-Charging isn't as fast as Oneplus 3's Dash Charge, but it is great with QC3.0.
-WiFi needs some updates to fix minor issues. On certain Channel, you won't get full performance.
-Cell Signal is average. Not as good as some phones, but it matches the price. However, I believe it can be much better than this.
-LTE performance is ok. Like I said, Cell Signal is average only. If you have great Signal, you can get it good. It has Band30 LTE, so if you have AT&T, you can use that band.
-The buttons next to the Home button are too close, and not back-lite, therefore it isn't easy to use.
If camera performance is very serious issue, dont' get this phone until they fix it. If it isn't, this phone worth the money.

So far really liking this phone after a couple of months. The phone updated to 7.1.1 as soon as I got it, no lag at all, and the screen is super clear and bright enough outside to even see. Sound is great with the two front facing speakers and have had no problem with calls. I was worried about the camera from reading reviews but better than I expected. I am not a heavy phone user, but averaging about a day and a half on the battery which charges from around 20% to 100% in about 90 minutes. The only downside is not being waterproof and not many cases. You have to go to Amazon and Ebay for cases.

Pros: speakers and headphones are great and the Amoled 2k Display are awesome for movies. Fast charging. Upgraded to Android Nougat. Camera is great with manual settings
CONS : No t-mobile Wi-Fi calling, Some Video apps (VUDU will only play SD, Cinemanow not playing, etc.) you will have problems but just waiting for upgrades for fix or hoping that carriers will support this phone.
All in all, I highly recommend this if you are a person who like to watch or listen with great joy. I ended up using this as my daily driver and replaced it with my Galaxy S7 Edge. For my self, the CONS outweigh the pros.

I absolutely love this phone. I bought it during a Black Friday online and it's a defining extension to my personality. The quality of sound that the Axon 7 is capable of is absolutely phenomenal. Along with the bright and truly vibrant screen with a high resolution, I find myself getting caught up in the moment a lot during a good movie or YouTube video. When it comes to audio and video playback, it simply doesn't compare to any other flagship phone out there. The only true drawback I find with this device would be the struggle of taking pictures under poor lighting. Don't get me wrong, the cameras themselves are both great in good conditions but the occasional moments that just need to be captured on video when the mood doesn't call for bright lights isn't ideal. However, at this price, one can only ask for so much and the camera quality isn't all that bad.

Bought this phone as an upgrade from the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge plus 64. I am very happy with the performance of this phone. Much better battery life, Camera, and features and performance is on par with Samsung S7.
This is the first Smart phone I have been 100% happy with, and the big bonus is 60% less than I paid for the S6 edge plus 64, and way better phone.
I recommend this phone for those who want great performance, at a great price!!!

I usually go from one flagship phone to the other but the Axon 7 surprised me in the service, features and updates receiving.
First off the sound quality is 2nd to none. The display is very good, and the overall build quality is top notch. The fact the phone received Android updates nearly at the same time as Google devices was a huge plus.
It was the first non Nexus or Google phone to be DayDream compatible. Overall the phone was excellent, I made the mistake of upgrading to a Samsung S8+ and have regretted it ever since.

I usually purchase phone directly from Cricket and get new one every 8 to 12 months. This phone is FAST, Storage space is great with no additional purchase, but I purchased a 60GB anyway. I can redirect storage to SD card for MOST needs and the ones I cannot do not impact this phone due to amount of internal storage. I have loaded some very intensive CPU and memory programs and this phone is FAST.
Only issue is when accessing phone from sleep it goes to the phone dialer screen every time. Talked with ZTE but no solution was found that stops this opening screen. I could have called ZTE back or keep seeking a solution but I got lazy and accepted this!
The camera will record video and audio very nicely. On playback utilizing the phone it is great. However when I transfer to my laptop and utilize any video player or editor software its like playing in a strobe light environment. I have PowerDirector 12 and selected all 6 conversion formats but, cannot seem to get smooth picture and voice matchup.

I must say that I have had flagship phones from Samsung (all Galaxy S1-S7 & the Note 5, Apple's iPhone 5s & 6+, HTC M8 & M9, 1 Sony Xperia device, LG G2-G3-G5 & V10, but out of all of those phones nothing compares to the Axon 7. The price of the Axon 7 combined with the specs + the great performance is unmatched to me. In the past I've had to root my phones to achieve the performance I wanted but I haven't felt the need with the Axon 7. Overall the camera performs great for me. People say that on auto that the camera is not greatfor them, I suggest they learn to use manual mode or learn how to use lighting to their benefit while using auto. Auto has been very good for me and manual mode even better. As far as performance, the Snapdragon 820 + 4Gb of ram is beastly. I would recommend the Axon 7 to everyone looking for a flagship phone regardless of price.

Excellent phone so far; I have had it for 2 months. I use Pure Talk USA as my carrier and they were easily able to configure the AXON 7 with me over the phone so that all functions (calls, mms, sms, data, wifi) work perfectly.
Phone is presented beautifully in the box and was easy to set up. Nice extras like ear buds, case and screen protector.
Charges quickly and battery life seems good to me. Very pretty screen. Camera works well for me; I am no photographer so only use auto. Size of phone is good for me. Big enough to see well, but easy to handle and grasp. I have small to normal size women's hands.
I come from a Nexus 4 and have found a couple of features that are not available on the AXON 7 that were available on the Nexus 4, particularly the ability to have separate user accounts and to put your owner info on the lock screen. Hopefully with updates these features may become available.
Overall, I am very pleased with this phone and would purchase again.

Overall this is a fantastic phone, and one of the best "bang for your buck" Android phones on the market. The build quality is stellar, the speakers are fantastic, and the phone is very snappy. With that being said, there are 2 issues with the Axon 7: The camera and the aggressive app killing software.
The camera is just so-so, and since the rest of the phone is so good, the camera sticks out like a sore thumb. The phone's power management software is also a little too aggressive. One common problem with the phone is that Spotify will stop playing as soon as the screen turns off, which means that if you are listening to music in the car or while working out, it may cut out on you unexpectedly. The problem can be fixed temporarily by resetting the phone, but it'll pop up again sooner or later.
If you can handle a mediocre camera and some annoying software quirks, this is a fantastic phone!

After getting caught up in the Samsung Note 7 fiasco, I found myself at the end of my carrier contract without a phone. The Axon 7 popped up in my searches for a high-end (Android) alternative. I'm thrilled with it!
Pros: It works on Verizon and Project Fi right out of the box. It is not necessary to fiddle around with settings. Actually, it works on all North American carriers. If ZTE can do it, why can't Blackberry, HP, Sony or whomever else? The Axon 7 is the only dual-SIM handset I'm aware of that works on Verizon. It's at least half the price of current flagships without the bloatware and carrier commitments. The speakers are loud and the sound is fantastic. The screen is bright and crisp. It shares a memory card (up to 128G) slot with SIM 2 and has 4G of RAM.
Cons: This thing is not all that attractive. Especially in gold, which was the only color available when I bought mine. It reminds me of a poor mash-up of LG & HTC handsets. Get a cover for it. Although the Axon 7 fits well in the hand, it is slippery. Since the phone isn't officially supported by Verizon, there are some quirks in the software. The display often shows that it's roaming when it isn't. Also, the carrier is sometimes listed as "123456," instead of "Verizon Wireless." Because of the all-metal body, there's no wireless charging.
The pros WAY outweigh the cons. Seriously, for what it is, I think the Axon 7 competes favorably with the likes of any Android flagship running Marshmallow.

It's a great phone for the money. Especially if you can get it on sale. I like the metal body and the speakers are really great for video and music. The daydream functionality is a nice bonus but it's not really there yet. With a phone that close to your face you probably need a 4k display to really enjoy VR. The software updates have been good so far. Had an issue once with some settings not displaying but a reset fixed it. It's fast. Plays games well. Dolby Atmos is pretty awesome but only works when it's using it's own speakers or wired headphones (no bluetooth). It's aluminum but the front speaker grills are plastic. It's like 2 oz heavier than most non-metal phones. I had an old microsd card go bad in it. I don't know if that's the fault of the phone or the card. Quick Charge 3.0 is pretty awesome. Previously, I was only interested in phones with replaceable batteries. I liked it so much I got a gold one for my dad. It's nice to see phones like this come out that are premium flagship style phones without contracts and at a reasonable price.

This is my 3rd ZTE phone for my Wife. I bought 2 AXON 7 Mini for my Son and Daughter. Overall Axon 7 is a great phone with solid performance and decent OEM implementation of Android 6.0. Love the AMOLED screen, battery life is good too. The phone is fast and doesn't have any heating issues even when playing games. The fingerprint reader is good and is unlocking the phone mostly on the first try. The volume when playing music or watching a video is LOUD if using the front speakers and wired headphones but not good with BOSE Mini Bluetooth speakers. The camera is solid and has good low light performance in Manual mode. I am thinking to get one for myself the Premium Version(6GB+128GB) from ZTE Site.

I've had all Nexus devices and a OnePlus One. I had some reservations jumping to a phone that didn't have huge community support like both Nexus and OnePlus, but I don't regret it. I went with this over the OnePlus for the screen and sound. It's fast and the screen is gorgeous, legacyOS has picked up support for the device and you can unlock the bootloader. Overall this is a great buy at 399$. You'll give a pixel and a galaxy 7 a run for their money. Build quality is awesome, I've had zero issues, and would buy it again in a heartbeat.

This phone is a steal at $400, the only real drawbacks to the phone are software based and ZTE has been very responsive to user feedback thus far with software updates. The audio quality is fantastic, the screen is amazing, the camera could use some improvements but is still good, and the battery life is superb. Overall a really solid phone at an insanely low price when compared to Apple, Samsung, and Google phones this year.

I've had this phone for around a year now and it has never let me down. Expanded the storage to 128gb to double as an mp3 player since my iPod crashed, works great. The ear buds that came with the phone are excellent! Paid $400.00 for it and it was worth every single cent!

Researched many phones before purchasing this one. Did not want to pay the huge fees that other manufactures charge for their flagship phone. Went with what they call a budget phone company for the last 3 phones but had terrible luck with all 3 so gave up on budget phones altogether. This phone is very snappy. I know others were a little dis-satisfied with the low light camera features, but coming from the budget phones I think the camera is awesome. Sound quality is amazing on this phone, never knew it was possible on a phone. 2 weeks into this phone so will update this review down the road.
