Wish I bought this earlier.
Upgraded to mirrorless. Bought to go with a Canon R6 Mark II. What a change over the EF version and adaptor I had for 6 months. H+ shutter speed did not work properly on the EF, on the RF lens it’s fast. Color, overall tone and sharpness is excellent. Getting used to the telescoping lens design. Wish it was still internal but the lens is easy to carry and use. If you go to a mirrorless camera I highly recommend spending the money on the new RF lens. Works like a dream. Faster. Sharper. And the photos quality is so much better. I shoot several high school sports activities indoors and outdoors. The lens is fast and can lock on to the action quickly. The f2.8 is perfect for all events.

Title: Incredible upgrade. Lightweight, sharp, and fast Review: I absolutely love this lens! I can’t believe I waited so long to upgrade from my older EF 70-200mm. The image quality is phenomenal. Super crisp and clean shots every time. The autofocus speed is impressive, locking on quickly and accurately. What surprised me most is how much lighter and more compact this RF version is compared to the EF lens. It fits easily in my camera bag and doesn’t weigh me down on long shoots. As a photographer, it’s become an essential part of my kit. I truly never leave home without it. Pros: Razor-sharp image quality Lightning-fast focus speed Much lighter and more compact than EF 70-200mm Fits easily into standard camera bags Cons: Premium price (but worth every penny) Tip: Pair it with an EOS R-series body to get the most out of the fast autofocus and image stabilization.

A must have lens
This lens almost never leaves my camera body. It is so sharp and has amazingly fast autofocus. And the 2.8 + compression makes it hard to capture a bad photo. The build quality is great and has taken a beating on the many trips i've taken it on. And I like how small and compact this lens is compared to other options. The external zoom never really bothered me and I would still prefer this over the newer Z version.
