Stunning! - Worth the cost.
I've had my TV for about 3 weeks so far. I've upgraded my DirecTv to 4K viewing when available - didn't realize my older dvr receiver couldn't pass through 4K. The picture on the 83" Sony Bravia A90J is simply amazing. I mounted the the TV using the Sanus - Premium Series Advanced Full-Motion TV Wall Mount for Most 42"-90" TVs up to 125 lbs - Black Brushed Metal Model:BLF328-B1 SKU:6331611. It too is awesome allowing me to easily move the TV about 2 feet closer to my seating area when viewing some content for a more immersive experience. Just make sure you catch the centers of the wall studs! If not, the TV will end up on the floor. A friend and I did the mounting of the TV. I do recommend having the Geek Squad do the TV mounting unless you're a DIY kind of person and comfortable with the task. The A90J is bright even during the day in our living room with 6 windows, (3) ~8-10 feet to the left, and (3) more just behind my seating area 10-12 feet from the screen depending how far out the TV is positioned using the wall mount. It was a bit pricey at $4999 but considering how much time you spend sitting in front of it I still see it as a good value. I will be purchasing the Geek Squad 5 year extended warranty as it includes all TV services in my home which is MUCH preferred to having to remove the TV from the wall and deliver the the massive TV to a Sony service center hours away. It is worth noting the in home Geek Squad insurance kicks in after the Sony 1 year warranty expires meaning the in home service is for years 2-5. The insurance can be purchased in the first 60 days after purchase, and paid all at once or buy the month. I still need to hook up my Yamaha reliever and Polk speakers to the TV. Once completed I'll have a Dolby Atmos speaker system which will greatly enhance my viewing experience. Today I purchased the Sonance - MAG Series 8" 2-Way In-Ceiling Speakers (Pair) - Paintable White Model:MAG8R SKU:6342750 - which will complete my Dolby Atmos speaker setup. The Sonance speakers, regularly $999, were $700 off! I can't wait to enjoy the visual and audio experience together. As for now, the TV speakers are very good on their own. If you want the best, I definitely recommend the Sony - 83" Class A90J Series OLED 4K UHD Smart Google TV.

If You Like the A90J, You're Going to Love the 83"
The quality of this tv is opulent - both visually and audibly, and it lives up to the legendary status critics have been saying in recent months since its release. The black levels are the deepest I've ever seen on any device, and the brightness can light up an entire room. Movies are crisp and sharp with good motion, and PS5 games play just fine without the VRR (for now). I've attached 1tb hard drives and USB flashdrives, and the media file formats work just fine. Although it does take a while for the tv to learn the various file formats you feed it, it does so without a problem. The sound quality is by far the best I've heard from a television right out of the box and needs no tweaking (in my opinion), however if your wondering if it needs a supplemental soundbar to add depth and layers to the sound, it does not. And although the Google interface is "different", its not to be under-estimated in its versatility and ease of use. The 83 inch version does give the viewer an unbelievable cinematic experience and stimulates the senses to captivate and envelop you, so if you're going to buy a television in 2021, or a "Forever TV" as I call mine, this is the one to buy.

Best TV period
I currently have Sony 65 inch tv in the kids playroom hooked up to a PS5, a 77 inch Sony tv in my room and just bought this 83 inch Sony tv. After purchasing this 83 inch Sony tv, I gave my dad our 10 year old 55 inch Sony tv. As you can see I am a fan of Sony. Why? Well Sony makes quality tvs. None of my Sony tvs ever broke down. If I had to use only one word to describe this 83 inch Sony tv I would say AMAZING! You won't be disappointed.
