Q: Is it hard to fix a flat. And where can you get parts? (3 answers)
A: We have had 3 flats using this product. Twice it went flat in under two weeks, and the last time it lasted about 2 months. It is not easy fixing the flat. It can be done but with a lot of work. We got the insurance that best buy offers and it costs us $100 to exchange each time. Knowing what I know now of this product and how often it gets flats, I would NOT recommend this product to others. It is a blast to use but it gets a flat way too often to justify the price or fun it does offer.- A: We experience the same thing, riding fine then just loses power for a moment and kicks back into driving again. Like a weird stall of some sort for no reason. Why is this happening?
- A: It’s built like a Ninebot max with a much smaller battery range, worse brakes, and 6lbs lighter than a max. I own the m365 and this alpha and they are very different. The alpha is more powerful, taller handlebars, much smoother ride due to larger tires, more stable, wider deck more comfortable on feet, much better headlight and display. Also has a speaker if you want to play music while you cruise The m365 is more slender, has better range is about 10lbs lighter much easier to load in a truck/back seat, better brakes. Much worse ride quality and more prone to flats. If you weight more than 200lbs or are taller than 5”10 you will appreciate the alpha
Q: Is this item (battery) FAA approved for commercial flight transport (2 answers)
A: No. According to the FAA, any battery larger than 160 watt hours (Wh) is not allowed in carry on or checked baggage. According to the manufacturers specs, the battery in this unit is 36 volts (V) at 6 amp hours (Ah). The formula for converting volts (V) and milliamp hours (mAh) to watt hours (Wh) is: (mAh * V) / 1000 = Wh. 6Ah from the spec is equal to 6000mAh, so the formula is as follows: (6000mAh * 36V) / 1000 = 216Wh. Since 216Wh is above the allowed 160Wh allowed, this would go against FAA regulations for battery size on an aircraft.- A: Join the flat club! I get a flat every time I use it (3times) and yes! The back tire is a pain! Its 10x2.125 by the way. YOU MUST BY WITH valve at an angle or it won't fit properly. I got mine thru Amazon. Waiting for a Solid tire so i don't have to change the flat each time (im a girl by the way) and its getting on my nerve. Ggoo to you tube, that's how i did it go change my tire. It's hard to put it back on. You will need 4 hands. Be careful with the roter, you don't want it to bend. Hope this helps
Q: Error message E9, "brake failure" manufacturer says this is unrepairable. Is that true? (6 answers)
A: Most likely it’s your electronic brake switch. This is a very easy part to replace. You have to remove the handle my twisting it off. Switch has one screw in the body that you can loosen, this will be required to pull it off later. There is one screw that is holding the plastic rack for the screen that resides between both handle. Remove that screw and remove the screen plastic cover off. I can now remove the electronic brake switch. Carefully remove the wire shielding electronica brake switch wire it and the circuitboard wires. Simply simply disconnect the wire coupling. Get part, perform the install using reverse steps. In ours that little plastic piece in the pic broke off, it is a switch position sensor...without it E9 code will show up.Q: What is the spring clip on the left handle bar? (4 answers)
A: It is the locking mechanism used for attaching handle bars to back wheel when it is folded to conserve space.Q: How far can a fully charge battery go? (4 answers)
A: 7-10 miles depending on weight and ride mode
